Okay, my background is radio and television, going back to my days at Wayne State University, where I was a member of WAYN-AM radio for about six years in the early 1970s and where I took classes related to radio and television, such as television directing.  Finally, I have put my television directing and producing knowledge to good use.  I now have a small batch of videos to my credit.  Here, I am giving information about my videos, and, really, all are history videos, and some were made to knock down bad television-history information that I found on the Internet, especially about the DuMont Television Network.

Posted on YouTube on April 10, 2024:
The first video that I started to make was about an incident that took place on KABC-TV, Los Angeles, in late 1961 or very, very early 1962, and that event took place on The Soupy Sales Show, which was a weekday afternoon show on KABC-TV, and I report that the event was like one that had taken place on WXYZ-TV some four years previously.  The event on KABC-TV had a young gal show up in the nude during the running of an episode of The Soupy Sales Show, and the gal showed up back stage for Soupy Sales to see, but she was not seen in the nude by the television audience at home.  Since the event took place, no one has reported publicly who the gal was who surprised Soupy Sales.  Well, I have made the discovery.  It was another one of my big discoveries, and I report that the discovery is shown in my video called FINALLY IDENTIFIED  The Naked Lady on "The Soupy Sales Show" of KABC-TV, Los Angeles.  The video shows proof that the gal was a young gal named Ms. Sandy Benson.  The video has nude images (censored) of Sandy Benson, especially the one that is the final photograph in the video, which is a wonderful color image.  The video introduces you to Ms. Sandy Benson.  [Note: I have had to use quotation marks in the titles of my videos, since the video-making program (Live Movie Maker) does not allow a person to italicize text of titles of television shows and movies in video titles without italicizing the entire title of the video, and the titles of television shows as presented in the titles of videos, for example, should actually be in italics and not within quotation marks, and the titles of the videos on the videos should not be in italics.]

If you go looking for the answer about what was the end date for the DuMont Television Network, I state that you will very likely find crap information, and that information will report something like "1956" (or a day in 1956) or 1957.  All over the place, you can find that crappy information about the end of the DuMont Television Network, and you will find it on the Internet and in books and in newspaper articles and magazine articles, especially of recent years.  I have a video called "Dilemma" and the End of the DuMont Television Network.  I report that, starting on September 15, 1955, the DuMont Television Network was gone, and I show proof.  In addition, the video dispels bad information about a 1950s television series (offered up in syndication and not as a DuMont Television Network produced show) known as Dilemma.

The DuMont Television Network is touched on in my video called An Examination of the Images of Ms. Anna May Wong--Dispelling Bad Photograph Information.  On the Internet, such as eBay, you can find photographs that are reported to be nude photographs of Ms. Anna May Wong (whose heyday as a movie performer was from the 1920s to the early 1940s).  I show in my video why two of the photographs--maybe the most prominent on the Internet--are not Anna May Wong.  In essence, I can say that the photographs are fakes, and I show why the photographs should be discarded.  Incidentally, Anna May Wong starred in a 1951 television show called The Gallery of Madame Liu-Tsong, which was carried for 13 weeks on the DuMont Television Network.

From roughly the fall of 1967 to late 1985, WAYN-AM radio existed in a building at 672 Putnam in Detroit, which was a part of the Wayne State University campus of Detroit, Michigan.  That building was a house, which had been built in 1894, and it was first used by Mr. Owen Stanley Fawcett.  From the 1850s to 1904, Owen Stanley Fawcett was a stage performer, who performed all over the country, and he was a big-name actor or comedian--in a time before movies, radio, and television.  Because of the history of the house at 672 Putnam (originally addressed as 152 Putnam), I state the the house is more important to Detroit entertainment history than the two Motown houses or the United Sound Systems house.  I have a video called The Historic Owen Stanley Fawcett House of 1894 and WAYN-AM 860 Radio of Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan.  The video talks a bit about Owen Stanley Fawcett, but it is mostly about WAYN-AM, using photographs that I have kept safe since the middle of the 1970s.

On December 25, 2020, I set up (for permanent display in one of the places in which I live) a model that I made, and it is a model of 40 Mile Point Lighthouse of Rogers City, Michigan.  The real lighthouse, which is along Lake Huron, started to be used in 1897, and it is still used today, and my model shows what the lighthouse looked like from 1914 to 1919 (at least).  I show in The Detailed Look at the Making of a Model of 40 Mile Point Lighthouse, Rogers City, Michigan how I made the model.  This video is the longest of the first six that I have ever made, and it runs about 25 minutes.

Another video that I have is sort of about 40 Mile Point Lighthouse and--more.  While I was making model of the lighthouse, I came up with an idea--Make some little nude female figurines that can be set up around the model of the lighthouse and be put into photographs that could show why 40 Mile Point Lighthouse was the most requested lighthouse at which to work by guys in the early 1900s.  I was going to use the gals to make a joke page.  So while I was making the lighthouse, I started to make five little figurines, though I had had no experience at making any nudes.  Today, I can show how I made five figures--tiny things--through a video called How I Made Lovely Nude Women for My Model of 40 Mile Point Lighthouse of Rogers City, Michigan.

The seventh video that I made is called A Close Look at Lead Pipeline for Fresh Water Supply to Houses and Other Small Buildings--The Replacement Process and Scheme.  I was inspired to make the video because a bunch of governments (local and state and the federal government) and government entities in the country, such as the EPA, are pushing out the idea that lead supply lines are so dangerous to the health of people, especially people of color (as pushed out by the federal government) that such lines have to be replaced all over the country as soon as possible, such as within ten years at a cost of billions and billions of dollars, and I state that the unnecessary work is going to lead to the tearing up of portions of streets, lawns, flower areas, and tree roots and tear up spots of basement floors or walls, and it is all for no real gain.  I show in my video that much of my father's work life was focused on drawing up gas pipe and water pipe, and at one point in the early 1960s, he did drawings to help make the Allen Park Water Treatment Plant, Allen Park, Michigan.  My father told me decades ago that you do not have to worry about lead leaching out of lead service lines to, for example, houses, since the water in such pipes is cold--usually in the forties.  On April 17, 2024, I observed a construction crew as it replaced lead water pipe of houses in Ferndale, Michigan, and I gathered up two pieces of old lead pipe, both pieces of which were about one hundred years old.  In the video, I show that replacing such lead pipe is crap and a waste of a lot of money.  For example, I show the inside of retrieved pipe, and the pipe looks almost new, even though it was used for about one-hundred years.

If you go on YouTube, you can see videos about how to take down a tree, and most have a similar format for dropping a tree.  On May 20, 2024, I posted a video on YouTube that shows an alternative to the commonplace way of taking down a tree, though the tree related to my video was already partially down.  My video is One Technique for Cutting Down or Taking Down a Big Tree Safely in a Tight Location near a House, and it shows at style that you probably have never seen before.  At least for one man, the style has been in use since about 1954.  While that man and I removed a partially downed tree in March 2023, I took photographs of the process, and the video developed out of the photographs may help you, though, really, the video is officially a history piece and not an instructional video.

In August 2024, I had a video tape machine--a Sony SLV-585HF--go goofy.  I liked the machine, so I ordered four units of the same model from people offering such models on eBay.  I bought one that was called "reconditioned," and when I got it, I found that it worked well.  The other three were not so great, and, for one, I discovered two had a defective "blue gear" (related to setting the tape to the head drum), and I found one had a defective "blue gear," but I would find that it had other problems; the three units with gear problems had been called "working."   When I opened up my original machine, I found that it had a partially broken "blue gear."  I came up with a way to fix four "blue gears," and I came up with a fix that would last for decades.  My video called A Permanent Fix--Repairing the Blue Plastic Gear in SLV-585HF Video Tape Machines and Other Sony Machines shows how anyone can repair such a gear easily and well and save their video tape machines.

I am the best Detroit television historian in the country, and I could be the best national television historian now, having at least 52 years of work in the field of television history.  One day in the summer of 2024, I began to do research on an experimental television station in Detroit that was known as KQ2XBB, and my search led me to finding some fun history that links together The Shanghai Cobra (a 1945 movie featuring the character called Charlie Chan), a jukebox-music service called "Music by Choice" (of Modern Music Company of Detroit), the Radio Electronic Television School (or R.E.T.S.) of Detroit and more places, and the Electronics Institute of Detroit.  The story is told in my video called Linked--"The Shanghai Cobra", Charlie Chan, KQ2XBB, R.E.T.S., Modern Music Company, "Music by Choice", Jukeboxes, and the Electronics Institute.

The videos were made in the same way.  I wrote scripts.  I did narration, and the narration was put on an Akai M-9 reel-to-reel tape machine, which I had gotten from a guy who had used the machine in Southeast Asia while he was a U.S. soldier during the Vietnam War.  I transferred the audio (in analog form) from the recorder to a computer by using a U-Control UCA202 interface unit (which turned the audio into digital form).  The audio was edited in a version of Audacity.  And then I combined the audio and the video into video product by using Live Movie Maker of Microsoft.  To make MP4 video versions, which could be used on YouTube, I used a version of the software program called HandBrake.

All the videos exist on YouTube, and, specifically, they exist at a channel called "The Hologlobe Press" (which people can call "my channel").  One way to get to the videos on YouTube is to use "The Hologlobe Press" as a search thing, and you will be given an entry that uses a blue globe with "The Hologlobe Press" on it (a logo) for the channel for "The Hologlobe Press", and then you go into the channel, or you will see the "thumbs" for the videos.  You can be on "google" and call up all the videos.  For example, you can use a full name of a video to get to the video, and you can use "hologlobe press" and at least part of the name of a video to get to a particular video wished to be seen.  While on "google," you can call up "The Hologlobe Press", and then somewhere on the listings page, you will find access to the channel for "The Hologlobe Press".  And maybe, you will find other ways in which to get to the videos today.
