In late November 2011, the European Union (a government entity of Europe) announced after about three years of work or something or other--maybe some talks or discussions or debates behind the scenes--that drinking water does not stop dehydration, and it ruled that commercials may not say that drinking water stops dehydration (Doughty, Steve.  "Now barmy EU says you CAN'T claim drinking water stops dehydration," 18 November 2011, 10:02 p.m.; Doughty, Steve.  "EU bans claims water prevents dehydration."  The Courier Mail, 21 November 2011, 12:12 p.m.), which is a rule that affects companies tied to countries in the European Union..  I say in jest--Well, you will not find any desert land in Michigan, so I guess I can say that you have nothing to worry about with respect to problems with dehydration if you do not have drinking any water with you while you travel in Michigan.  I wonder what my little toads would think about the statement and dictate from the European Union (to learn about my little toads, who like water and I kept alive with water or revived with water, you should see my document entitled Michigan Travel Tips #89, which can be reached by using this Travel #89 link).  Of course, if you go to Arizona, where there is desert-like land at times and where people are really having trouble with invaders from Mexico, you might want to have some water around, despite what the people of the European Union, such as communists, have said (recently, I heard how relatives of people who work as U.S. border-patrol people in Arizona have to keep quiet about their relatives and what their relatives do for fear of being kidnapped or hurt by thugs and such).  A person's suggesting drinking water does not stop dehydration shows off the defective mind and an evil mind of the person.  A person with an evil mind--that is what you can find in Europe, but it is also what you can find in Michigan from time to time, as I showed in T.H.A.T. #91 (which can be reached by using this T.H.A.T. #91 link) by my talking about Craig Covey (a county commissioner for Oakland County, Michigan), who as a sitting politician and organized an "Occupy Wall Street" rally--an anti-U.S. Constitution or pro-communist rally--for Ferndale (Michigan) for October 28, 2011. (By the way, the Daily Tribune, a newspaper in Oakland County, Michigan, published a story entitled "Covey pleads the Fifth: Former Ferndale mayor testifies in medical marijuana entrapment hearing" on July 15, 2011 (Hopkins, Carol.  "Covey pleads the Fifth: Former Ferndale mayor testifies in medical marijuana entrapment hearing."  Daily Tribune, 15 July 2011, pp. 1A and 5A.).)  Like countries in Europe, Michigan is under attack by socialists and communists, who are creating ludicrous laws so that they can control the "masses," a term that they regularly use, and, through a number of decades of teaching lies, some have been able to set up cultural structures that have killed cities in Michigan, especially Detroit, and they are working to spread their crud to more communities, and, in the case of Detroit, the communists and socialists in and out of government also have an additional feature to their personas--black radicalism tied to Black Liberation Theology and the hatred of "whites."

Welcome to this special edition of Michigan Travel Tips, which is most certainly special, as you shall mostly certainly see.

Advertisement: The commercial in this edition of Michigan Travel Tips urges you to get a copy of Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, which is a book written by Mark R. Levin.  This book will help you understand better what Barack Obama is--a man who is purposely hurting the country, even though he is the president of the country--but the book is really about enslavers--politicians--who do not believe in the values of The U.S. Constitution and how The U.S. Constitution is designed to limit the power of the government, especially a dictatorship, over the individual (the citizen).  Remember: In the United States of America, it is the individuals who own the government and not the government that owns the citizens, the latter of which is what Barack Obama wants and is pushing for.

On the week of Sunday, November 27, 2011, a number of events that took place in the country, most of which took place in Detroit, inspired the focus of this edition of Michigan Travel Tips.

On Sunday, November 27, 2011, The New York Times published a piece of writing from Thomas E. Edsall (Edsall, Thomas E.  "The Future of the Obama Coalition."  The New York Times, 27 November 2011, 11:34 p.m.), and the opening three lines of the piece are: "For decades, Democrats have suffered continuous and increasingly severe losses among white voters.  But preparations by Democratic operatives for the 2012 election make it clear for the first time that the party will explicitly abandon the white working class.  All pretense of trying to win a majority of  the white working class has been effectively jettisoned in favor of cementing a center-left coalition made up, on the one hand, of voters who have gotten ahead on the basis of educational attainment--professors, artists, designers, editors, human resources managers, lawyers, librarians, social workers, teachers and therapists--and a second, substantial constituency of lower-income voters who are disproportionately African-American and Hispanic."  I say that what is meant is the Democratic Party--which is really a communist party now and is headed by a man who is at least  communist (Barack Obama)--has many people who are racist against "whites" and are against people who work, and, really, the people in that political party are hostile to non-communists and such.

Here is an aside.  I have to note that, from the roughly the 1700s to July 28, 1951, Detroit grew from a little settlement to a big city, and on July 28, 1951, there was a big birthday parade in downtown Detroit, which, incidentally, was broadcast by WXYZ-TV, and that was a big-deal event, and Detroit did well in the 1950s and much of the 1960s, and then radical blacks, such as socialists and communists, started the push for "enslavism" (such as communism) as the underlying political structure in Detroit, and then, in the 1970s, Mayor Coleman A. Young pushed to make blacks in Detroit hate whites, and he was instrumental is pushing whites out of Detroit, and he also pushed out blacks who were seeing rising crime and corruption and dislike having to live with rising crime and corruption, and the corruption and mismanagement, as a rule, rose in Detroit from the 1970s to today, passing through, for one, a number of scandals, such as the Kwame Kilpatrick mess of a few years ago, and, today, the city is basically bankrupt, and there is nothing to celebrate, such as with a big parade, and Detroit is on the verge of having the financial decisions made by a emergency financial manager appointed by the State of Michigan (the governor of which is "white" and a Republican), and what Detroit is is really a slave city, in which a few blacks have, for the most part, blacks as slaves, many of whom are functionally illiterate malcontents and miscreants, who believe they are owed something from others for simply being alive (the mayor is black, and the city council is black, and, as noted by the U.S. Census Bureau, 82.7 percent of the population is black).

On the morning of Thursday, December 1, 2011, I opened up an e-mail that had been sent to me the previous night and found it had some text about Detroit and twelve photographs that showed wasted buildings in Detroit, none of which I really needed to see, my being well aware of what Detroit is (which you can see by looking at my document entitled Detroit and Death: A Future View of the United States of America, which can be reached by using this Detroit link), and around the time I was working with the email document, I heard spoken words from a Detroit City Council person named JoAnn Watson and spoken words from Reverend Charles Williams of King Solomon Baptist Church in Detroit.  I heard Reverend Charles Williams' words when Frank Beckmann of The Frank Beckmann Show of WJR-AM was interviewing Charles Williams, and the main topic of the interview was an upcoming "occupy"-type event that was scheduled to take place in Washington, D.C., and one of the things that Reverend Charles Williams said is: "...We want a jobs bill, and we want economic equity...."  It is public knowledge "occupy"-type events are driven by socialists and communists and are anti-United States Constitution events, and it has been shown that many of the persons taking part in the "occupy"-type events are the dregs of society, and the events have been smelly and dirty events, and many of people tied to the events are looking for handouts from the federal government, which is a part of what "economic equity" and "economic justice" mean.  Also on the morning of Thursday, December 1, 2011, JoAnn Watson said: "...There is nothin' to be gained from people who have been elected by the citizens of Detroit to give away their city to a Republican governor on the basis, on the basis that you might be at the table for thirty seconds!  It's given away the city!...." and "...We have inherited this city from Coleman Alexander Young, Maryann Mahaffey, Erma Henderson, Rosa... Parks!  We have no right to give away this city!...."  Incidentally, Coleman Alexander Young, Maryann Mahaffey, and Erma Henderson were "progressives" ("progressives" are communists or socialists), and they are only some of the communists and such who have been instrumental in causing the deterioration of Detroit and most of the people who are in Detroit now (about 90 percent of the persons who voted for the next governor of Michigan in November 2010 voted for a hard-line "socialist").  JoAnn Watson--another socialist at least--is, as you can see by the quotation that I have presented, a racist, and such people as JoAnn Watson and Reverend Charles Williams and many citizens of the dead Detroit support and look up to Barack Obama, a truly detective and evil man, as can be seen by looking at what Barack Obama said at a fund-raiser in New York City on the evening of Wednesday, November 30, 2011: "...I mean, I worry the way parents worry, but they're [Sasha and Malia Obama are] on a path that is going to be successful, even if the country as a whole is not successful...."  What type of man as a U.S. President would say "even if the country as a whole is not successful...." and give a hint at a negative outcome for the United States of America for the future?

And then on Friday, December 2, 2011, some stories published in a newspaper and on the Internet caught my attention.  On the front page of the Detroit Free Press--the communistic/socialistic newspaper (evidence of that is shown off almost everyday in stories written by such writers as Rochelle Riley and Leonard Pitts Jr.)--for Friday, December 2, 2011, the headline on the front page was "City to Snyder: We'll fix Detroit" (which hinted that the rulers of Detroit were telling the Governor of Michigan Rick Snyder to butt out), and on the front page was a photograph, in which a bunch of persons--many of whom looked like thugs--were standing around the Mayor of Detroit Dave Bing, and nearly front and center in the photograph was the thuggish looking JoAnn Watson, who was standing in front of Ken Cockrel Jr., who is a communist and is the son of a past city councilman and communist known as Ken Cockrel Sr.  The photograph reminded me of other socialists/communists who are members of the Detroit City Council, such as Saunteel Jenkins, who was, for example, the Chief of Staff for Maryann Mahaffey at the entity known as Democratic Socialists for America, and Brenda Jones, who has been on the Honorary Host Committee for the Maurice and Jane Sugar Law Center for Economic & Social Justice (when I read the word "Sugar" while typing out the name of the law center, I was thinking about the "sugar daddy" idea and people getting money or, in essence, stealing money from others because of the law center and the courts, and I pictured in my mind an image of Kwame Kenyatta, who I talk about in T.H.A.T. #92, which can be reached by using this T.H.A.T. #92 link).  Also on December 2, 2011, I saw stories that showed the unemployment figures for November 2011, and Lucia Mutikani wrote a story for Reuters called "Jobless rate drops to 8.6 percent, hiring picks up" that was available through Yahoo! News, and the story noted that the jobless rate went from 9.0 to 8.6, but in the story, there was this set of words: "...was due to people leaving the labor force...." (Mutikani, Lucia.  "Jobless rate drops to 8.6 percent, hiring picks up." Reuters (through Yahoo! News), 2 December 2011.).  In addition, Forbes.com through Yahoo! Finance had a story written by Susan Adams called "America's Worst Cities for Finding a Job" on the Internet on December 1, 2011, and it noted that, of the worst cities to find jobs, Detroit was number five on the list, noting, roughly, that about "2.75" persons can be seeking a job for every job available, but the story did not note whether or not the number of jobs available or being created is down over last month or over last year or over last whatever (and I bet the number of jobs available or being created is down, so the "2.75" figure is nonsense, and the jobless picture is really worse than that hinted at in the article) (Adams, Susan.  "America's Worst Cities for Finding a Job." Forbes.com (through Yahoo! Finance), 1 December 2011.).  On Friday, December 2, 2011, I found an article at CBSDetroit.com, which had been written by Vicki Thomas, called "Lawmakers Hope To Make Money With Detroit-Only Lottery" (Thomas, Vicki.  "Lawmakers Hope To Make Money With Detroit-Only Lottery."  CBSDetroit.com, 1 December 2011, 6:50 a.m.), and it noted that Kwame Kenyatta is behind the push to create a lottery for Detroit to make money for Detroit, which, I say, would have the city trying to get more money out of poor people (since poor people are usually the ones who get hooked into playing lotteries, feeling they might hit it big and get out of their mess), and although lotteries do not create anything substantial over the long run, Kwame Kenyatta, who always comes off looking like and acting like a thuggish tribal leader of a Third World African country, is pushing for a lottery and promotion a nonsense solution to make Detroit a better place.

Promotional announcement: The Landmark Legal Foundation is made up of lawyers, such as Mark R. Levin (of The Mark Levin Show, a nationally syndicated radio show), who fight in court cases against those who do not uphold The U.S. Constitution and the rule of law for the country, and the Landmark Legal Foundation fights for the rights of the individual and against Marxists, communists, and the like.  In this day and age when Barack Obama, who, I am convinced, has a truly highly ill mind, is going against the rules of the country while pursuing a goal--I believe--to hurt the country and remake it or destroy it, I believe the Landmark Legal Foundation needs your help desperately; for example, retired lawyers who want to protect the country should consider donating time to helping the Landmark Legal Foundation.  I urge you to avoid making any donations to entities that promote manmade global warming or climate change and make a donation to the Landmark Legal Foundation instead (by the way, you should look into supporting the Heritage Foundation).

On December 3, 2011, the management of the Detroit Science Center finally opened up the doors to visitors again (because of lack of money, the museum doors had been closed on September 26, 2011); if you look at the past two editions of Michigan Travel Tips, you will see I have talked about the Detroit Science Center in both editions.  So, the Detroit Science Center is open.  Oops!  No, it is not!  It was only open for one special event.  Because of lack of money, the Detroit Science Center--once a big-deal thing--is still closed, and if it were open, I would not urge you to see the place.

In fact, I no longer--till further notice--promote Detroit as a place to visit through Michigan Travel Tips.  Like a bad relative, such as a big-deal liar and ill-minded sister-in-law, I have canceled Detroit as a worthwhile place to see, because there is a time when you have to leave crap behind and let it go to dust or cut off it at the knees.  For one, I have shown in this document the racism that exists in Detroit against "whites," and I can see Detroit having trouble with riots in the very near future, when the black slaves beg for more from the government, and I would not want readers of Michigan Travel Tips to end up in a mess by going to Detroit, following my urging to see a tourist attraction in Detroit.  Detroit has been getting away with crap since the 1960s, and I do not promote crap!  A person has to remember such lines alike "We're all in this together" are crap and are promoted by crappy people, such as communists who want make good people take up the slack for crappy people, and a person has to remember sometimes a person has to chop off a dead limb of a tree so that the tree will live.

I guess I can now suggest places to see in this edition of Michigan Travel Tips.  If you go to Sault Ste. Marie (of Chippewa County of the Upper Peninsula) in the spring, such the Tower of History, you will not see what look like hundreds of bombed-out buildings, left to rot to dust, as you will in Detroit, caused by those who feel someone else should do the up-keep work, and you will have pretty settings at Sault Ste. Marie to shoot photographs.  If you are a guy and go to Hancock (of Houghton County of the Upper Peninsula) in the summer, you can put your gal in a cotton summer dress and walk with her down main street and not feel your gal is in danger, such as from street gangs or street thugs who are about to pounce on her, and you can take your time touring the Copper Country Community Arts Center or see the Finnish-American Heritage Center.   If you go  to Mio in the fall, you can take photographs of the pink elephant that stands in front of a restaurant along M-33.  And if you go to the Zeeland area (of Ottawa County of the Lower Peninsula) this winter, you might have to fight a snowstorm to get there, but you can sit safely on a bench in the downtown area and forget Detroit.

In Michigan, you can find and visit the sites of former towns, which are called "ghost towns," as you can in other states of the United States of America, and, for instance, there are several ghost-town sites in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.  A place can become a ghost town for many reasons, one reason of which is an industry fades away, such as underground copper mining, and towns can disappear and fall in ruin because of corruption or ignorance, which are commonplace in the world, even in Michigan, and evil minds, like those of Barack Obama and Craig Covey.  Maybe in the next century, people will mosey about in "Old Ghost-Town Detroit," looking for rubble that made up foundation walls of buildings, stubs of what were once telephone poles and light poles, pieces of once-cherished items, et cetera.

Remember: For the most part, the culture of Detroit is a collage of socialism, communism, thugism, corruption, thievery, ignorance, gutterism, and racism, which fit under the main political system that I define as "enslavism," and, in fact, Detroit is, in essence, a society with a few rulers, who happen to be "blacks" and are most unlikable people, and a lot of "black slaves," and even if the financial crisis is corrected somewhat soon in Detroit, such as through the help of an emergency financial  manager, the culture will not have been changed or the ignorance will not have been thrown off, so nothing will really have been gained for the long run.

Enjoy your safe traveling in Michigan!

    Stay well!

    Victor

P.S. #1: Remember: While you travel in Michigan, remind your children or grandchildren that they should never pledge to be a "servant to Obama" or a servant to any politician or sing the praises of Barack Obama, and to help you remember other matters that you should teach children about bad politicians, such as Barack Obama (who can be described as an "enslaver"), see such other documents of mine as Conservatism for Children and What Conservatism Means (which can be reached through this link: Conservatism) and Lessons for Children about Politics and Dangerous People (which can be reached through this link: Children).  (Note: I first passed along the subject of not being a "servant to Obama" and the like in the publication entitled T.H.A.T. #58, which can be reached through this link: T.H.A.T. #58.)
