I open with a special note about Barack Obama, a lawless
U.S. President. On January 31, 2011, a U.S. District Court judge ruled
the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 is
unconstitutional and is null and void, and, really, because of the ruling,
the federal government may no longer continue to implement the law.
Then, on February 2, 2011, a U.S. District Court judge
found the Barack Obama administration in contempt of court
in relation to the oil-drilling ban that the Barack Obama administration
has in place. Oil-drilling permits have yet to be issued and work
has yet to stop on implementing the Patient Protection and
Affordable Care Act of 2010. The country is truly in trouble.
Wake up!
There is a rule--Even though a book can be filled with thousands and thousands and thousands of words and is followed by millions of persons, the book can still be, in essence, nonsense, and what is unfortunate for the millions who follow the book and millions who do not is that the followers can spend countless hours each day and week and year, especially in early years of life, trying to learn and understand all that is contained in the book, and the work done can give the millions who study it a basic understanding of life that is incorrect, and then when those persons try to attach other types of information, especially truthful information, to the foundation of their knowledge, they have to reject truthful information since it does not fit the convoluted false basic knowledge contained in their minds, which is basis on which other information about life might be tied, and, as a result, the millions practice ways of life that are harmful to them and those who do not adhere to the book. Since I published the previous edition of Michigan Travel Tips, I came across an article in The Detroit News that showed one of millions who seem to profess books like The Communist Manifesto are made up of good knowledge, and the article--which was really a commentary piece--was written by David Skrbina, a lecturer in philosophy an environmental ethics at the Dearborn Campus of the University of Michigan, Dearborn, Wayne County, the Lower Peninsula (Skrbina, David. "Commentary: Michigan's population loss good for the environment." The Detroit News, 13 January 2011, 1:00 a.m.), and the article is filled with such nonsense thought as it would be better if the acreage per person were higher in Michigan and it would be better if Michigan had a seventy-percent drop in population over the next 100 years, and one piece of the text, which is truly a Marxist idea, is: "...Thus we are using more than our fair share." That quoted material shows that David Skrbina thinks there are too many people in Michigan and the people of Michigan are using too much of the resources of Earth, and a person can infer from the text--knowing David Skrbina is comparing the United States of America with other countries, especially Third World countries--that David Skrbina believes Michiganians are bad people, using much more than people in other countries are, and he thinks that is unfair, which is an idea pushed along by Marxist-type people and evil people. (I know, of course, many other countries have never developed because of their political systems, ideologies based in Marxism, and the leaders of such countries have put up restrictions in the form of rules and laws that block the citizens from having the opportunity to make their lives better, such as by making all types of businesses and by being able to create water-treatment plants and waste-water-treatment plants, invent things, and do much more, and the rulers want that way of life, because better conditions for the citizens would allow the citizens to discard the rulers or those that I also call the enslavers.") You should understand David Skrbina is one of the persons in Michigan--supposed educated--whose goal is to hinder the betterment and the improvement of Michigan, and, for example, he would be opposed to people creating new businesses, which are highly needed in Detroit, a dead city, and this is a man regularly passing along his nonsense, which is based on Marxism and The Communist Manifesto, on to students and others. If you meet David Skrbina, you will be meeting one of the defective people in Michigan, and defective people is not the topic of this edition of Michigan Travel Tips
Advertisement: The commercial in this edition of Michigan Travel Tips urges you to get a copy of Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, which is a book written by Mark R. Levin. This book will help you understand better what Barack Obama is--a man who is purposely hurting the country, even though he is the president of the country--but the book is really about enslavers--politicians--who do not believe in the values of The U.S. Constitution and how The U.S. Constitution is designed to limit the power of the government, especially a dictatorship, over the individual (the citizen). Remember: In the United States of America, it is the individuals who own the government and not the government that owns the citizens, the latter of which is what Barack Obama wants and is pushing for.
In the previous edition of Michigan Travel Tips, I mentioned that there is a World War II Jeep on display at the Royal Oak Historical Museum, Royal Oak, Oakland County, the Lower Peninsula, as a part of a World World II exhibit that will be set up for visitors through March 19, 2010, and the idea of cars and traveling in Michigan inspired me to make a review of other places in Michigan that have cars on display for this edition of Michigan Travel Tips. Some of the well-known places are the Automotive Hall of Fame, which is located in Dearborn (of Wayne County of the Lower Peninsula), The Gilmore -- Classic Car Club of America Museum, which is located at Hickory Corners (of Barry County in the Lower Peninsula), the Poll Museum of Transportation, which exists at Holland (of Ottawa County in the Lower Peninsula), the R.E. Olds Transportation Museum, which is at Lansing (of Ingham County in the Lower Peninsula), and the Walter P. Chrysler Museum, which is located at Auburn Hills (of Oakland County of the Lower Peninsula). And there are a number of places--museums and even stores--that have a car or a few cars on display; for example, two museums are the Motorsports Museum and Hall of Fame (which exists at Novi in Oakland County in the Lower Peninsula), and the Plymouth Historical Museum, which is located in Plymouth (of Wayne County in the Lower Peninsula), and several businesses along Woodward Avenue in southern Oakland County have cars on display inside, which a person can see while driving on Woodward Avenue, which is used for the annual Woodward Dream Cruise each August and which attracts thousands and thousands of persons, amounts of people that would probably irk David Skrbina, who would probably hope for seventy percent fewer persons. For this edition of Michigan Travel Tips, I make the big focus on the Wills Sainte Claire Auto Museum, which exists at Marysville (of St. Clair County of the Lower Peninsula). The goal of the Wills Sainte Claire Auto Museum is to show some of the history and work of C. Harold Wills and what he helped to bring forth in the early 1900s--automobiles that used gasoline. Between about 1902 and 1919, C. Harold Wills worked closely with Henry Ford as, for example, a designer; Henry Ford's automobile company was Ford Motor Company, which was based in Dearborn, Michigan. About sixty miles to the northeast of Dearborn is Marysville, where, in 1921, C. Harold Wills began to produce automobiles, which were considered sort of luxury cars. By 1926, when his business had to be ended, his factory had produced about 12,000 cars. Today, the Wills Sainte Claire Auto Museum shows off about a half dozen cars made by C. Harold Wills in the 1920s, and some of those are a 1922 Wills Sainte Claire, a 1925 Wills Sainte Claire, and a 1926 Wills 7 PaxSedan, and the museum has other memorabilia. This museum can be considered one of the small car museums in Michigan, and because it is a small museum, it is not open for spur-of-the-moment visits many days of the year--in fact, the museum is regularly open only from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the second Sunday of each month. Bt this museum can be seen through special appointment, so it can be said that the Wills Sainte Claire Auto Museum is open throughout the year. It is located in a former factory building and at 2408 Wills Street in Marysville, which is near Port Huron and the two Blue Water Bridges, which are two connecting points between the United States of America and Canada. Incidentally, the cars made by C. Harold Wills that are on display at the museum are some of the many millions of cars that have been made since the late 1800s that were not pushed into production by the federal government.
I have to place a commentary piece here. On Thursday, January 27, 2011, Frank Beckmann--the host of The Frank Beckmann Program, a weekday radio show on WJR-AM, Detroit, Michigan--interviewed a man name Mark Lee (of Lansing, Ingham County, of the Lower Peninsula), who, on the same day was featured in an article in the Detroit Free Press entitled "VOLT'S 1ST MICHIGAN CONNECTION" (Thompson, Chrissie. "VOLT'S 1ST MICHIGAN CONNECTION." Detroit Free Press, 27 January 2011, p. 1B.). Yes, Mark Lee is the first person in Michigan to have a "Volt," that partial electric car (not electric-only car) from General Motors that has a retail price of about $41,000. Mark Lee can charge the car overnight by using a regular outlet or charge it in about four hours with a special charger, which costs some several thousand dollars it seems and he did not have to pay for. And he will soon have a special charger set up at work, which he will not have to pay for. When Mark Lee bought his Volt, he got a $7,500 government rebate on the purchase price. Generally speaking, Mark Lee got $10,000 or so to buy the vehicle, which was bought from General Motors, which is controlled, in essence, by the federal government. I state clearly--You had to help Mark Lee buy his Volt! Frank Beckmann asked Mark Lee whether or not it bothered him that, in essence, others helped buy the car, and Frank Beckmann even brought up the idea that he [Frank Beckmann] received no rebate when he bought things in the past, such as his iPhone. Mark Lee--not a poor man--seemed to be unconcerned that someone else helped to pay for his car--you see, as Mark Lee passed along, it was new technology and expensive and not like an iPhone. When the first typewriters were sold in the 1800s, they were considered expensive, but the government did not give out rebates, and when the first cars were sold in the early 1900s, such as the 1926 Wills Roadster, the cars were expensive, but the government did not give out rebates, and when the first personal computers related to IBM were sold in the 1980s, they were considered expensive, but the government did not give out rebates, et cetera. Yes, if you travel in Michigan, you might see Mark Lee's Volt, and you will see a man who gets to act like a big shot by riding in a $41,000 car that you helped pay for while, in essence, promoting the coercive power of the federal government to direct what does get sold and what does not get sold in the marketplace. You are strongly urged to see my document entitled The Power and the Power Killers: Energy in the United States of America, which talks about electric cars, charging electric cars, and power plants (of various types) and which be reached by using this link: Power.
Promotional announcement: The Landmark Legal Foundation is made up of lawyers, such as Mark R. Levin (of The Mark Levin Show, a nationally syndicated radio show), who fight in court cases against those who do not uphold The U.S. Constitution and the rule of law for the country, and the Landmark Legal Foundation fights for the rights of the individual and against Marxists, communists, and the like. In this day and age when Barack Obama, who I am convinced has a truly highly ill mind, is going against the rules of the country while pursuing a goal--I believe--to hurt the country and remake it or destroy it, I believe the Landmark Legal Foundation needs your help desperately; for example, retired lawyers who want to protect the country should consider donating time to helping the Landmark Legal Foundation. I urge you to avoid making any donations to entities that promote manmade global warming or climate change and make a donation to the Landmark Legal Foundation instead (by the way, you should look into supporting the Heritage Foundation).
I end this edition of Michigan Travel Tips by noting that, sometimes, I get the feeling the people of Michigan are getting dumber or get the feeling, each day, the proportion of ignorant people to smart people is going more and more to the ignorant side of the scale, and, though that may not be true, on Sunday, January 23, 2011, I saw two articles in newspapers that made me wonder.
On that day, the Detroit Free Press published an article entitled "CREATIVELY SPEAKING: Schools adapt as fewer students know English" (Walsh-Sarnecki, Peggy. "CREATIVELY SPEAKING: Schools adapt as fewer students know English." Detroit Free Press, 23 January 2011, p. 4A.), and here are signs Michiganians are putting up with nonsense that hurts the country, presented through three portions of the article:
"Today, almost half of Michigan's school districts have students who speak little or no English, including every district in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties, according to Michigan Department of Education data. In 2002, only about 13% of districts were teaching students who didn't speak English."
"This year, the state will spend more than $12.8 million to help schools teach these students." "The West Bloomfield School District is now 10% Asian, and has students speaking 47 languages, including Arabic, Chaldea, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin, Russian and Urdu."
"Plymouth-Canton Community Schools used to be almost all white. It's now 12% Asian and 9% black, and students speak 74 languages or dialects."
When I went to schools in the 1950s and 1960s--Fred C. Fischer Elementary School, John Daly Junior High School, and Cherry Hill High School--of the Inkster/Dearborn Heights area of Michigan, all the students I met could speak English, though none of them were experts, and since the 1960s, I have noticed people--especially politicians--have been pushing the idea of not having English be the dominant language in the country, of allowing illegal immigrants to stay in the country and get free learning, and of making schools pay for the teaching of people who should not be allowed to stay in the country, their being here illegally.
On Sunday, January 23, 2011, the Daily Tribune (of the Detroit area) published an article from The Associated Press entitled "Study finds there may be limited learning in college" (The Associated Press "Study finds there may be limited learning in college" Daily Tribune, 23 January 2011, p. 8A.), and one piece of the article is:
"The research of more than 2,300 undergraduates found 45 percent of students show no significant improvement in the key measures of critical thinking, complex reasoning and writing by the end of their sophomore years." The findings were published in a book entitled "Academically Adrift: Limited Learning on College Campuses."
To understand more about the subject about ignorance in Michigan, I urge you to see my document informally entitled T.H.A.T. #82, which was published on the Internet on the date that this document was published on the Internet and which can be seen by using this link: T.H.A.T. #82.Special note: You are urged to see my document entitled Sharia Law, Shariah-Compliant Finance, Radical Islam, and Barack Obama, which has a section that reports on how recently the U.S. Department of Education--controlled by Barack Obama--worked to install classes in Arabic language and Arabic culture in some schools in, for one, a school district in Mansfield, Texas, and the classes were going to be mandatory, and to reach the document, you can use this link: Sharia.
If you go traveling in Michigan, you might meet some dumb Michiganians who got their inspiration from David Skrbina or who are like Mark Lee.
Enjoy your safe traveling in Michigan!
Stay well!
Victor
P.S. #1: Remember: While you travel in Michigan, remind your children or grandchildren that they should never pledge to be a "servant to Obama" or a servant to any politician or sing the praises of Barack Obama, and to help you remember other matters that you should teach children about bad politicians, such as Barack Obama (who can be described as an "enslaver"), see such other documents of mine as Conservatism for Children and What Conservatism Means (which can be reached through this link: Conservatism) and Lessons for Children about Politics and Dangerous People (which can be reached through this link: Children). (Note: I first passed along the subject of not being a "servant to Obama" and the like in the publication entitled T.H.A.T. #58, which can be reached through this link: T.H.A.T. #58.)
