Fresh in mind while I type is a news story that I heard recently, and the story gives me more evidence that Barack Obama is going to hurt tourism even more in Michigan in the days to come, and his working to hurt tourism comes down to policies related to "carbon," and the story that is in my mind specifically deals with oil. Now, you may have in mind that those oil companies are purposely working to hurt the country and take money from you so that they can get richer and richer and richer, or that is what you are going to think hard about when the price of gasoline goes up in the future, maybe in the near future, such as at the start of the summer tourist season. Of course, you may not have in mind, for example, that (1), if the oil companies make the price too high, people will stop buying gasoline and that will hurt the oil companies and (2) the oil companies are made up of investors, such as your neighbors, who have invested in oil companies to make money for the future (such as for retirement years). Since the 1970s, oil companies have been hampered by the federal government in their ability to drill for oil on land or in waters associated with the United States of America, and that has forced oil companies to get crude oil from other places in the world, such as countries in the Middle East, which has a lot of countries--such as Sharia-law based countries--that wish to do harm to the United States of America (you are urged to see my document entitled Sharia Law, Shariah-Compliant Finance, Radical Islam, and Barack Obama, which shows how Islamists are working to purposely hurt the financial structure of the United States of America and which can be reached by using this link: Sharia). A number of my documents at the Web site for The Hologlobe Press show evidence that Barack Obama is purposely working to hurt the United States of America, and this document now notes the news story that is in my head--On Wednesday, January 6, 2010, Ken Salazar, who is the head of the U.S. Department of the Interior and had been put in the job by Barack Obama, announced more restrictions and stricter restrictions on the drilling of oil and gas on U.S. lands (by the way, in 2009, Ken Salazar had canceled 60 of 77 leases in Utah) (The Associated Press. "Salazar Toughens Rules for Drilling on Federal Land." The Wall Street Journal, 6 January 2010, 4:42 p.m. ET). When oil companies have to get oil to refine from other countries, your money leaves this country and goes to countries that could be dangerous to the United States of America, and that story shows Barack Obama is purposely working to hurt the oil industry and the financial industry in the country and is working to hurt you.
In the year to come, you may plan to visit places in Michigan--when they are open, of course--and some of the places could be the Kresge Art Museum (East Lansing, Ingham County of the Lower Peninsula), the Newaygo County Sports Park (Newaygo, Newaygo County, the Lower Peninsula), or the Carl Gerstacker Preserve (Cedarville, Mackinac County of the Upper Peninsula), and when you travel, I do hope you think about and pass along to children some ideas. A man who works to block the drilling for oil in the country by oil U.S.-based companies and forcing U.S. oil companies to get oil from other countries has an ill mind. A man who works to force a national health-care system on the country--a health-care system that is being put together behind closed doors--has an ill mind. A man who puts down doctors and nurses and the managers of oil companies, supports dictators, such as those in Iran, and waits three days before making a comment on the "Underwear Bomber" incident of December 25, 2009, has an ill mind. A man who gives Interpol, which is an international police agency, full immunity in the United States of America through an Executive Order has an ill mind. A man who works to control the salaries of all the people in a country, which is what a Marxist or communist likes to do, is the sign of a man who is highly, highly jealous of others and what those others earn and has an ill mind. All these ideas show a man who likes to hurt millions of people, and that is the sign of a man who is insane, and that is what Barack Obama is. Commentary and tourism facts: Well, it seems I am the first to report that a new tourist attraction is being worked on (others have reported that the thing is being worked on, but they have not reported the thing as a new tourist attraction). On December 23, 2009, I saw two stories in the Detroit Free Press for the day that caught my eye and led to my doing a little research. A group of people are working to set up a wind farm out on Lake Michigan--sort of between Pentwater and Silver Lake State Park--and it is called the Aegir Project. Two of the entities working to create the wind farm are Scandia Wind Offshore (which is a unit of Scandia Wind), which is based in Minnesota, and Havgul Clean Energy, which is based in Norway. The groups involved in the proposed wind farm want to set up over one hundred wind turbines out in Lake Michigan, and they might even use up to 200 wind turbines, and they plan to set up the wind turbines over a one-hundred-square mile area. Since the wind farm will be one mile or two miles off shore, people will be able to see the wind farm from the shore, and this area is a very important summer vacation area, which has good beaches and which is frequented by pleasure boaters. Yes, it should surely be something that will draw a lot of tourists (I say this in jest), and I cannot wait to see it (I say this in jest). It is too bad for Governor Jennifer Granholm of Michigan, who has been pushing wind power for the state and blocking other types of electric generation, will not be able to gloat about it as part of the dedication ceremony related to starting it up--an event at which she could have her picture taken--but she will no longer be the governor. Ha! Ha! Ha! Of course, maybe, this nonsense wind farm will be blocked from being built, and that is what I hope, since the money that is being proposed to build it would be better invested in a nuclear power plant or a coal-fired power plant. I am rooting for this wind farm to be blocked by a bunch of tough guys and gals, especially by a big group of citizens who will shout and scream and fight against the push for this wind farm, knowing wind farms are being pushed by dangerous people like Barack Obama and Jennifer Granholm who are working to reduce the availability of enough energy for industry in the country, such as small broaching machine shops and tool shops and other little factories, which the country needs. And, by the way, I say this--"Hey, guys, do you want to see a bunch of wind mills in the background of your photographs of your cutie and great bikini gals? Get your butts in gear, guys, whether on motorcycles or snowmobiles or trucks, and pass along the word about this nonsense wind farm." Oh, if you really want to see a wind farm, head to Huron County of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan--The Harvest Wind Farm is in the Pigeon/Elkton area (I talk about it in my document entitled The Power and the Power Killers: Energy in the United States of America).
Actually, there are better things to see in Huron County than a wind farm. The St. Mary's Historical Museum is at Parisville. "I love Parisville in the spring time"--while traveling to Parisville, you can sing these words to the song that goes "I love Paris in the spring time...." The Frank Murphy Museum is at Harbor Beach. Huron County is bordered to the northwest, north, and east by water, such as Lake Huron, so you can use the boat launches along the shore to go on fishing trips. The Thumb Area Bottom Land Preserve is located in Huron County, as is the Water Fowl Bay Wildlife Refuge.
Promotional announcement: The Landmark Legal Foundation is made up of lawyers, such as Mark R. Levin (of The Mark Levin Show, a nationally syndicated radio show), who fight in court cases against those who do not uphold The U.S. Constitution and the rule of law for the country, and the Landmark Legal Foundation fights for the rights of the individual and against Marxists, communists, and the like. In this day and age when Barack Obama, who I am convinced has a truly highly ill mind, is going against the rules of the country while pursuing a goal--I believe--to hurt the country and remake it or destroy it, I think the Landmark Legal Foundation needs your help desperately; for example, retired lawyers who want to protect the country should consider donating time to helping the Landmark Legal Foundation. I urge you to avoid making any donations to entities that promote manmade global warming or climate change and make a donation to the Landmark Legal Foundation instead (by the way, you should look into supporting the Heritage Foundation).
Let me see. On December 18, 2009, Barack Obama was in Copenhagen, Denmark, to push for an international climate-change treaty that would make The U.S. Constitution subservient to the international treaty and put the American people under the thumb of people in other countries, such as communists and dictators, and when he was there, he had about four inches of snow on the ground--four inches of snow on the ground is an unusual occurrence for Copenhagen--and Barack Obama made a speech, even though "Climate-gate" was the big international story, that promoted that something had to be done about manmade global warming or manmade climate change (though it is a lie). Then, Barack Obama went home--went to Washington, D.C.--and he ended up looking over the city covered with snow, and, officially, when the snowstorm was gone, Washington, D.C., had sixteen inches of snow (on December 21, 2009, AccuWeather reported in an article entitled "New Storm Map, Totals, Social Weather Summary" that the storm dropped 31 inches of snow on Quinwood, West Virginia; 30 inches of snow on Wintergreen, Virginia; and 27.5 inches of snow on East Patchogue, New York). Around the same time, a lot of other cities and towns of the northeastern region of the country received a lot of snow. I guess there are good snowmobiling conditions out in the East, and I wonder if it is possible to see snowmobiles riding along the streets, as can be done in some cities in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and parts of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan in winter--when there is enough snow.
