It may be hard to believe, but Michigan truly has a number of rotten cities because they have rotten politicians, who were put in offices by rotten citizens, and Hamtramck is one such place. I have had ties to Hamtramck, and those ties are based in the 1970s and 1980s, when I was seeing a young gal in that city, who happened to be Ukrainian. There were a lot of Ukrainians in Hamtramck in the 1970s and 1980s, and I came to know several young Ukrainian gals of Hamtramck, such as one who is shown in a photograph of one of my videos that exist now on YouTube, and that video is called The Historic Owen Stanley Fawcett House of 1894 and WAYN-AM 860 Radio of Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, and the cute gal is Irene Futiak. In the 1980s, Ukrainians were moving out of Hamtramck in big numbers it seems to me, and many moved to Sterling Heights and Warren of Michigan--basically, the younger-generation people were moving on--and a Ukrainian Cultural Center was set up in Warren, where I attended at least one wedding as a guest in the 1980s. Since the 1980s, Hamtramck has gone to crap, and big evidence of that showed up in December 2023. By the way, it was in December 2023, when it became clearly known that results of a survey of Palestinians in Gaza showed that some 72 percent of the people in Gaza supported the attack by Hamas on Israel. The survey results were reported publicly by Reuters on December 14, 2023 ["Poll shows Palestinians back Oct. 7 attack on Israel, support for Hamas rises." Reuters.com, 14 December 2023.]. By the way, the attack on Israel by Hamas was premeditated; evidence of which are the tunnels under Gaza, which had have been built over many months and which had been set up store fighters and their equipment. Now, I back up one day. On December 13, 2024, the city council of Hamtramck passed "Resolution 2023-184," and it set up the renaming of a part of Holbrook Street in the Detroit area, and the part (between Buffalo Street and St. Aubin Street) was now to be called "Palestine Avenue," too. By the way, the mayor is Amer Ghalib. The mayor said such things in relation to the renaming as--"...The community wishes to express solidarity and compassion towards those affected by the tragedy..." and "...I know it's not going to change anything, but it's showing what Hamtramck stands for and what the community here stands for....". I state--It stands for shit! In December 2023, most of the Palestinians in Gaza--about 70 percent--supported the war by Hamas against Israel, and that is fact, and that shows off the crappy culture that exists in Gaza. Now, it is clear what the culture in Hamtramck is, and it is not good. The culture supported and supports the killing of Israelis and Israel, and the supporters in Gaza got the results of war, and killing came to them by Israel, and the people of Gaza deserved what they got, and those who were not smart enough to get out of Gaza when Hamas had taken control of Gaza--and the goals of Hamas had been known publicly--can only blame themselves for being stupid and for their inaction. It was on Thursday, March 7, 2024, that official and new street signs with "Palestine Avenue" began to be put up in Hamtramck; they were put up on top of existing Holbrook Street signs. It seems very likely to me that, some day, the "Holbrook" parts will be removed. When crap culture comes in, it replaces that which does not suit it, which is, at the very least, better than the crappy culture is. If you go to Hamtramck--and I have no reason to go any more--you will see crappy culture rising. Enjoy your traveling elsewhere in Michigan. [Booth-Singleton, DeJanay. Warning announcement! Because of incidents at schools for children and incidents at other places for people in general tied to "Sharia" or "Islamic Law" or even the religion/political system known as "Islam," I now regularly have this paragraph as a part of each edition of Michigan Travel Tips. The governmental system of the United States of America based on The U.S. Constitution and "Sharia" or, informally, Islamic law, are not compatible and cannot co-exist, and one reason is "Sharia" (et cetera) is a political system, in which there is one-party rule, and that one party is basically made up or controlled by religious leaders who base all the ways of their culture or society on "Sharia" or "Islamic Law." Those who uphold and practice "Sharia" have no tolerance for the existence of Christianity or Buddhism or Hinduism or non-religion, and that is a fact, and "Sharia" is a political system in which women are second-rate human bodies and in which clergy can be involved in determining business transactions, and there is no "freedom of speech" tied to politics in a society related to "Sharia." When you travel around Michigan and in other states of the country, watch for signs that rotten people are trying to teach you or family members, especially children, that "Sharia" is good and "Allah" is good and teach you or family members that the United States of America is bad and that, for instance, Christianity and Buddhism and Hinduism are bad, which I have evidence is happening and which is being brought about by people who are clearly working to make "Sharia" a dominant political system in the world (it is a political system as rotten as socialism and fascism and communism are, since it promotes violence and thuggery and coercion, and it promotes killing of non-followers behind the face of religion and a god, Allah). By the way, a society based on "Sharia" really creates nothing in the long run and does not advance the human society as a whole since it is too busy suppressing the ideas of people and keeping the ideas of the society based on ways of only a few minds up front (the political leaders), whose main purpose is to keep themselves enriched through the work of others, the many--it is a gang-run society really. Yes, if you run across people pushing the idea that Muslim stuff--particularly the true The Quran and not the translations of The Quran that are faked to hide the true nature of Islam--is better than the U.S. is, especially to little children, go public and make it known to other good people and fight back against it.
It is time to present information about places to see--new and not-so new this time.
I start with a "for-the-record" note for you and my Michigan history files. Something that is new is the "D-E-T-R-O-I-T" sign along I-94 between Central Avenue and Cecil Avenue in Detroit. It is not worth a person's time to purposely go out on the roads and see the sign. It is not that important. Actually, starting on April 9, 2024, Detroit began to set up a bunch of new signs, most of which are designed to give a "welcome" to people entering the city limits of Detroit. A new "welcome"-type sign can be found on southbound I-75 at Eight Mile Road, Westbound I-94 at Moross, eastbound I-96 at Telegraph, southbound Southfield Road at Eight Mile, and northbound Southfield Road at Ford Road. It seems it cost $425,000 for all the new signs. I hope they were made to last and not rust out in a few years or turn crappy looking. [Rahal,Sarah. I went back in time in my files, and I reminded myself that a boat called The Riverboat Queen was used to give boat tours at Frankenmuth (of Saginaw County of the Lower Peninsula) some twenty years ago or whatever. I wonder when the boat was retired. Today, a paddle boat called The Bavarian Belle is used to give some tours of the Cass River at Frankenmuth, or at least it is one way in which to float around for a while at Frankenmuth at least from roughly May to October of each year. Officially, the paddle boat is tied to a commercial venture that is informally called "Bavarian Belle Riverboat." Also at Frankenmuth is an entity called, for example, "Frankenmuth FunShips Tasting and Tours." For example, that entity gives wine and chocolate river tours, each of which cost about $25.00 for an adult. And the same entity has one-hour river tours and thirty-minute river tours available. If a person wants to go it alone, and entity called Frankenmuth Kayak Adventures rents out kayaks. But, of course, a person can bounce around in the water at Frankenmuth in the person's own kayak or canoe. Since my files were started in 1980s, I expect some things are gone and changes have taken place.
My files also have information about Fox Park, which is at 3979 East Gresham Highway of Pottersville, which is in Eaton County of the Lower Peninsula and to the southeast of Lansing. Old information in my files notes that the Capital Area Astronomy Society was sort of operating an observatory at the park a couple decades ago. I have not thought about the place in a couple decades. It seems, today, the entity known as Eaton County Parks now has control of the observatory. Information from Eaton County Parks on the Internet is rather weak. It seems, though, the observatory is made open to the public when a volunteer or volunteers can open it up, and when it might be open is some time during the summer tourism season. There is a fee. Fox Park has a small lake, where, for instance, children can go swimming. During the year, the park can be used by hikers and cross-county skiers, and fishing is allowed.
And now I take you on a visual tour of 40 Mile Point Lighthouse--sort of. On YouTube, you can now see a video of how I made a model of 40 Mile Point Lighthouse, showing what the real lighthouse looked like from 1914 to 1919 at least. By the way, the real 40 Mile Point Lighthouse is located along Lake Huron and is about seven miles north of Rogers City, Michigan. To see the model, go to YouTube and use "hologlobe press" as a search thing, and you will be given a way in which to enter the channel for "The Hologlobe Press" (a blue globe with "The Hologlobe Press" on it) and thumbs for all the videos that I have available on YouTube, and there are seven videos. Oh, one of the other videos will show you why the rush to change lead service lines to houses all over the country within ten years at a cost of billions and billions of dollars or people will be hurt is a scam, but you have to go all the way through the video to see my proof.
