Well, here is another edition of Television History and Trivia or T.H.A.T.. To begin, I must note that this edition of T.H.A.T. does not have information about how NBC-TV, ABC-TV, and CNN--for the last month--were involved in putting out false information about the now-famous Mr. Zimmerman of the Trayvon Martin shooting case (in Florida), so if you wish to see how these news entities, in essence, lied about Mr. Zimmerman, you will have to track down the information for yourself (for me, I once again have evidence in my head that shows why NBC-TV, ABC-TV, and CNN are crap and deserve absolutely no respect), and, anyway, this edition of T.H.A.T. shows up other bad things and bad people on television, such as Elle Macpherson and Michelle Obama. By the way, this edition of T.H.A.T. does not show up how evil Roseanne Barr and Spike Lee are--they got involved in the Mr. Zimmerman incident, helping to push the racist lies that had been started by some media people (and you can track that down if you wish, especially if you are unaware of such truth). Yes, this edition of T.H.A.T. does have some good stuff.
Hey, Barack Obama is a perpetual liar, as I show through my document entitled Nonsense Statements and Quotations of Barack Obama, which can be reached by using the link at the end of this document. What is Michelle Obama? Well, she is another liar! Last month, in a question -and-answer segment, Michelle Obama made this statement to an eleven-year-old girl: "...You know, th, that's absolutely right, and 'Let's Move' doesn't do that. 'Let's Move' is not about telling, hav, having government telling people what to do, because, ah government doesn't have all the answers. I mean a problem that's this big and affects so many people requires everyone to step up. So, we're asking everyone to do their part. Parents have ta, ah, make some changes at home, you know, but they, but they need the information to be able to make those choices and they have to have access to affordable foods in their communities. Fresh and healthy goods, right? Ah, so, we need government to do its part, but we need businesses to do their part as well...." I found the statement presented in a video at The Blaze (Gabbay, Tiffany. "11-YEAR-OLD REPORTER CHALLENGES MICHELLE OBAMA ON 'GOVERNMENT' ROLE IN ANTI-CHILDHOOD OBESITY." The Blaze, 12 March 2012, 4:02 p.m.), and your favorite television newscast probably did not show you this nonsense set of words from Michelle Obama. Yes, Michelle Obama--who lied to a little girl in public--is a piece of crap of a woman!
And then we got this television show to avoid. On Sunday, March 18, 2012, the Cartoon Network launched a new series at 5:30 p.m. (Eastern Time), and it is called Speak Up. The first episode was about bullying, and the program was given an introduction--special message--from Barack Obama. What you had is a bully--Barack Obama--giving a special introduction to a program about bullying. And, yes Barack Obama is a bully and thug, and the proof is in the documents available at the Web site for The Hologlobe Press, and to see the list of documents, use this link: Site-Summary Page.
NBC-TV is basically run by "leftists," such as socialists and communists and supporters of Barack Obama, who is a communist and worse than a communist. On Tuesday, March 13, 2012, NBC-TV began to run a new series--Fashion Star. The program is hosted by Elle Macpherson. Oh, on March 17, 2012, Elle Macpherson, who is not a citizen of the United States of America, said publicly that she is a "socialist" and is a supporter of Barack Obama. I am not surprised that Elle Macpherson is working for NBC-TV or that NBC-TV has Elle Macpherson in a series. I will avoid Fashion Star, and one reason is I do not want to see an ugly woman--Elle Macpherson, who is a person who supports all-powerful government thuggery (which is what socialism (a.k.a. communism-light) has as a basis or main underlying nature).
Okay, let me run a portion of the interview during which Elle Macpherson made her statement. It was said in an interview with Howard Stern on Tuesday, March 17, 2012. I heard audio of the material that I am about to present at NewsBusters (Sheppard, Noel. "Supermodel Elle Macpherson Loves Obama: 'I'm Socialist - What Do You Expect?' NewsBusters, 17 March 2012, 18:02.).
Howard Stern: "Who should be the next president of the United States, Elle Macpherson?"
Elle Macpherson: "I think about Obama's gonna do it."
Howard Stern: "You like Obama?"
Elle Macpherson: "Ya, I'm living in, in London, and I'm Socialist -- What do you expect?"
You must understand that "socialism" is "communism" under restraint, and communism is "enslavism," which is tied to an ant society, in which a few--elites and basically people with ill minds--control the masses, often with force and violence, and it is not fun and it is not good for good people.
Note: Elle Macpherson is an Australian, one of the bad Australians. Here is news that your favorite television newscast, such on WJBK-HD, WDIV-HD, and WXYZ-HD, did not cover. On March 14, 2012, it was reported by at least a few news entities that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services--Kathleen Sebelius--had finalized a new health-care rule. Now, within a health-care plan related to "state health care exchanges" in the country, there will be a new fee--a one-dollar fee to cover abortion stuff. ["$1 abortion surcharge in Obamacare." The Daily Caller, 13 March 2012, 1:18 p.m.]
Did your favorite television newscast show the idiot thought that U.S. Representative Nancy Pelosi said on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday, March 21, 2012? She said: "...ah, which is, ah, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And that is exactly what the Affordable Care Act helps to guarantee--a healthier life, the liberty to, ah, of, um, to pursue happiness free of the constraints that lack of health care might provide to families. You want to be a photographer, a writer, an artist, a musician, you can do so. If you want to start a business, if you want to change jobs, under the Affordable Care Act, you have that abil, that liberty to pursue your happiness...." Such an idiot mind that the set of words shows.
Advertisement: In March 2009, a book called Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, which had been written by Mark R. Levin, was published. Through the book, Mark R. Levin talks about how tyranny has been creeping into the country, and he also talks about how the country has been changing from a representative republic, which has a constitution as a basis, to something, yet to be defined, and although Mark R. Levin says that it is the statist who is causing the change, especially those who are a part of the Democratic Party and in government jobs, I say that it is communists, socialists, would-be dictators, and Marxists, such as Barack Obama, who are making the changes, such as by discarding The U.S. Constitution. I urge you to see and read Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, and pass it on to others, especially teenagers and young adults (and consider listening to The Mark Levin Show, the nationally syndicated radio show, on a regular basis).
Since January 2009, when Barack Obama became the U.S. President, changes have come to the newsrooms of Detroit television stations--people have come and gone and some long-time staffers have quit the television news field--and a bunch of changes have happened recently. For example, Lori Pinson is gone from First Forecast Mornings (WWJ-TV, Channel 62) as the weather forecaster (she was let go late in 2011), and Simon Shaykhet left WJBK-HD (Channel 2) as a reporter and went to the FBI as a publicity man, and Bill Gallagher (of WJBK-HD) retired, and a bunch of new kids have recently showed up in the Detroit market, such as Ashlee Bracay (as a traffic reporter for WDIV-HD (Channel 4), Clancy Glover (as a reporter for WDIV-HD), Smita Kalokhe (as a reporter for WXYZ-HD, Channel 7), Julie Banovic (as a reporter for WXYZ-HD), Hally Vogel (as a weather reporter for WXYZ-HD), Rachel McCrary (as a traffic reporter for WXYZ-HD), Kim Russell (as a reporter for WXYZ-HD), Ross Jones (as a reporter for WXYZ-HD), Emily Schmidt (as a reporter for WXYZ-HD), and Brad Galli (as a sports reporter for WXYZ-HD). On Wednesday, February 29, 2012, I just happened to stumbled upon Don Shane as he was giving his final sign-off as a sports reporter and anchor for WXYZ-HD (and it was during the 11:00 p.m. newscast), and I have to note that, over the past few months, Don Shane looked as if his mind was slowing down--it was noticeable to me; on Thursday, March 1, 2012, Don Shane was a guest on The Frank Beckmann Show (a radio program aired on weekday mornings on WJR-AM, Detroit), and Don Shane reported that he was not ill and that the television news/sports business was changing and it was time for him to stop. Yes, the television business is changing, and, recently, over the last few years, a number of high-paid on-air anchors or reporters have left WXYZ-HD--in what appears to be budget cutting--and a bunch of kid-like reporters have been added to the station (and, by the way, the newscasts at WJBK-HD have become more obviously "socialistic" in tone); however, I note that I have seen what appears to be a brain that is breaking down--that of Don Shane's--over the last few months, and Don Shane's explanations on WJR-AM about his health did not ring true. Now, the sports team at WXYZ-HD is Tom Leyden and Brad Galli.
Announcement for the novice again: To get useful television-delivered news or Internet-delivered news, go to Fox News Channel, WorldNetDaily.com, "The Drudge Report," and CNS News (which is on the Internet and which was launched on June 16, 1998), since the entities do not blindly support Barack Obama, as do CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV (to learn about bad journalism, you might tune in to CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV from time to time to see how they differ from the Fox News Channel and those mentioned with it in presenting political stories and events, and you should discover CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV avoid covering things that make Barack Obama look bad or show his true nature, which could harm you). If you are unclear of my intentions, I say in different words that you should boycott CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV and hope they lose more ratings and advertising revenues, since they are expendable, and it is time for you to find the guts to be mean and heartless and cancel them--since they are hurting you.
Since September 2011, I have been doing intense search about The Mackinaw WAGB-83 (and, previously, The Mackinaw WAG-83), and I have been coming across stories in newspapers from 1944 to about 1980 that are from such places as Sault Ste. Marie (Michigan), Holland (Michigan), Ironwood (Michigan), and Manitowoc (Wisconsin), and besides becoming the most informed person about what The Mackinaw WAGB-83 was and did--it is now the heart of the Icebreaker Mackinaw Maritime Museum (at Mackinaw City, Michigan--I have come across information about local television far from where I grew up, the Detroit area. Last month, I came across an advertisement in the Janesville Daily Gazette, which is based at Janesville, Wisconsin, and which I am going to tell you about now. The advertisment--in the edition of the newspaper for March 17, 1955, page 5--was, in general, for a store called "Coast-to-Coast," which was located at 205 W. Milwaukee Street, Janesville. In the past, I have passed along information about what television sets people in the Detroit area in the late 1940s and early 1950s had, and the advertisement was specifically designed to promote a television set. The television set was a 21-inch "Deluxe Travler UHF-VHF." It was a decktop model, but a person could buy a console model with a 21-inch screen. The set had, for example, a non-glare screen, an 82-channel roto dial, and antenna equipment. The price of the set with the side things and installation was $299.95 at Coast-to-Coast. You could get the set for $10.00 down and $3.50 a week (on the installment plan). Oh, what was The Mackinaw WAG-83 doing on March 17, 1955. I am not exactly sure. On March 15, 1955, it was working in the lower St. Mary's River (a little south of the Soo Locks) and in the Straits of Mackinac area, breaking ice and making paths for ships (especially iron-ore freighters and grain freighters and coal freighters)--the shipping season was about to start--and over the next few days, it was scheduled to work in harbors of Lake Michigan, such as at Green Bay, Wisconsin, and the ship probably went from coast-to-coast (of Lake Michigan), working in harbors off of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (the south side of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan), harbors along the Lower Peninsula of Michigan, and harbors along Wisconsin, work that was commonplace for the March/April "breakout" work for the ship every year it was on the Great Lakes (from 1944 to 2006). ["Icebreaker Clearing." Janesville Daily Gazette, 17 March 1955, p. 5.]
Here is television programming news. Around early March 2012, TCT Family changed the programming lineup between about 8:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. Two of the programs that are gone are The Beverly Hillbillies and The Roy Rogers Show. Some of the programs that are now played in the programing block are Letter to Loretta (a 1950s television series featuring Loretta Young that was also called The Loretta Young Show), *Cowboy G-Men* (an early 1953 syndicated series featuring Russell Hayden and Jackie Coogan),Racket Squad (a 1950s series), and Dragnet (the 1950s edition).
Incidentally, in July 1953, people in New York City, New York, were seeing *Cowboy G-Men* on WPIX-TV at 5:30 p.m. on Sundays, and the show was sponsored by Taystee Bread.
Here is news to pass along about the Daystar network. On Saturdays, at 9:30 p.m. (Detroit Time), Daystar is showing ACLJ This Week, which features, for example, Jay Sekulow and Jordan Sekulow and which is related to the American Center for Law and Justice. If you are looking for something different to see, think about seeing ACLJ This Week, which is, for example, highly anti-Barack Obama and pro-Israel (Israel is not supported by Barack Obama).
By the way, America is filled with people of many different religions, and Daystar is a religious-based network, and on Sundays at 11:00 p.m., Daystar has a program hosted by Hal Lindsey that is entitled The Hal Lindsey Report. Although the program has much focus on a religion that may not be yours, I urge you to tune in The Hal Lindsey Report, since Hal Lindsey does present news that shows of the bad of the Barack Obama administration and Barack Obama, especially in relation to Israel.
. A reminder (updated): Remember to tell your children and grandchildren that they should never pledge to be a "servant to Obama" or a servant to any president, which was a topic in T.H.A.T. #58, and remember to tell them to not blindly "believe" in leaders, and that is a lesson in this edition of T.H.A.T., as it was in the past and will be in the future. By the way, remember, in the "Presidential Video," which is one topic of T.H.A.T. #58, one male says, "I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama."; one female says, "I pledge to be a servant to our president." And make sure your children and grandchildren are not singing songs at school that praise Barack Obama, which has been done by children at some schools around the country since January 2009, since children should never sing songs that praise any politician, especially a megalomaniac and narcissist like Barack Obama.
On Sunday, March 18, 2012, WTVS-HD, Channel 56.1, aired a locally made program called Bob Allison: 50 Years of Ask Your Neighbor. The program focused on Bob Allison (officially known as Bob Allesee), who has hosted a radio show on radio stations in the Detroit area since the early 1960s, one of which is the current station, WNZK-AM. The program had interview clips with Bob Allison, Glenn Haege (The Master Handyman), Michael Fezzey, Gloria Pitzer (The Recipe Detective), Joe Gagnon (The Appliance Doctor), Tom Doaksk, Al O'Neil, Rob Allison (Bob Allison's son), and Maggie Allesee (Bob Allison's wife). The program was presented during a pledge drive, and so the viewers were given live bits with the program, and because the entire presentation ran long, the station did not run the end credits for the program (which disappointed me). The television program was simple and pleasant, but the program--as presented--did not clearly state when Ask Your Neighbor first aired (the very first program and on what radio station), and the television special covered a bit of Bowling For Dollars, which Bob Allison hosted for some years on local television, but the television special did not make it clear when Bob Allison hosted Bowling For Dollars.
And on page 11 of the edition of TV Guide for April 9-15, 2012, there is an article entitled "From Little House to Big Business," and it focuses on Melissa Francis, who years ago was an actress on the television series called Little House on the Prairie. By the way, Harvard University is a highly left-wing university, which, for one, pushes for communism in the country and circumventing The United States Constitution (Barack Obama and a lot of Barack Obama's associates have ties to Harvard University). Today, Melissa Francis is an anchor on the Fox Business Network, and the article noted that Melissa Francis studied economics at Harvard University. Be wary of what Melissa Francis teaches, since it is possible she is sympathetic to Barack Obama.
Remember: The Prisoner with Patrick McGoohan was a television show that was produced across the pond and shown on CBS-TV in the late 1960s, and I urge you to find The Prisoner on DVD, maybe from a library, and watch it, and you should show it--all the episodes--to teenagers, or buy it as a present for teenagers.
Stay well!
Vic
P.S. #1: The telephone number of the U.S. Congressional Switchboard is: 1-202-224-3121. (Use it to fight against the creation of a national-health-care system, especially a system pushed through law by a defective thinker, a man who has created nothing, and a man whose history is mostly filled with tearing things down, a man who continually puts down the U.S.A.--Barack Obama. By the way, one of the more recent events in which he put down the entire business community of the country took place on Wednesday May 13, 2009, and you should see the second entry for Wednesday, May 13, 2009, in the document entitled Nonsense Statements and Quotations of Barack Obama).
