For a long time, I have been saying that we are in "The Pseudo Information Age and the Age of Ignorance," and what is driving this day and age is ugliness and ugly people--what is in the minds of so many people. Ugliness is communism, which is hard-line and violent socialism, which is truly an ugly way of life for a society, and, for one, anyone who upholds the ways of socialism and communism has a ugly mind, and many of the people who uphold the ways of socialism and communism are in the Democratic Party of the country, but they are not the only people. Certainly, many people--or, really, most of the people who can be called prominent in the entertainment industry and the news industry are ugly people, since they are pushing communism and socialism, and the range goes from the hosts and many of the guests of the Sunday morning political-based shows (where every week it is easy to find dumb comments and evil comments, even from some Republicans) to the hosts of the broadcast network morning shows to the broadcast network news anchors to many of the actors and production staffers of network television shows. Yes, ugliness is commonplace on television, and it is highly evident on the prime-time period for broadcast networks. I could easily give a year-long course at a university showing up the ugliness and the ugly people on television--showing up the ugly thought and thinking--since it is so commonplace. Because there is so much ugliness on television today, much of this edition of T.H.A.T. shows off ugliness on television. [Note: To learn about ugliness--Barack Obama's ugly women--you are urged to see my document entitled Barack Obama's Women -- Ugly Through and Through: Facts, Information, and Opinion (A Lesson for Hoped-to-Be Men, which can be reached through this Ugly link and which is marked with "Parental Discretion Advised".]
Since I published the previous edition of T.H.A.T., a big story that has been available through some media outlets is the Solyndra scandal, which I first learned was a scandal through The Mark Levin Show (a nationally syndicated radio show hosted by Mark R. Levin) on Wednesday, September 13, 2011, and on that day, Mark R. Levin interviewed a woman who worked for a company that had been involved in making the Solyndra plant. During the interview, the woman noted how, while the plant was being made, using, for one, funds (535-million dollars) obtained from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (or the "Stimulus Act"), people knew the company was going to fail, since the Chinese had developed a process to make, in essence, solar panels at a cheaper cost, and yet Barack Obama had gone to the plant (on May 26, 2010) to promote it as part of his "green" jobs and "green" industries for the future and people had pushed on to make the plant. On September 14, 2011, an FBI team raided the Solyndra and confiscated papers and records, and in the days to come, the U.S. Congress would run an investigation, which, for example, involved having executives (D.W. Stover Jr. and Brian Harrison) of the company show up at an investigation hearing.
On Friday, September 23, 2011, people could see a committee hearing (Natural Resources Committee) held by the U.S. House of Representatives on C-SPAN. At one point, U.S. Representative Frederick Upton (a Republican related to Michigan) had the floor and said: "...First, let's talk about clean energy. Yes, Republicans do support innovation, and we are uniform in our support of any solution that improves our energy security..." and "...we may question whether the federal government is capable of selecting the most promising companies and technologies, we have concerns about the 'Stimulus' when it passed in 2009, and we have concerns when it failed to deliver the jobs that were promised. This is not a debate about the virtues of clean energy. It is a serious inquiry into reckless use of taxpayer dollars on a company that was known to pose serious risks before a single dime went out the door." Later, U.S. Representative Henry Waxman (a Democrat related to California) spoke, and Henry Waxman noted in July 2011, an executive had told him everything was going well at Solyndra, and Henry Waxman pushed the idea that, because private entities had invested in Solyndra, the federal government had been doing the right thing, and Henry Waxman also said that "...Climate change is real and is caused by man...."
I note that, while I watched the hearing, I saw how, for one, Henry Waxman was working to cover up or take blame of any wrongdoing away from the Barack Obama administration, as were other Democrats on the committee, and while I watched I kept in mind the interview conducted by Mark R. Levin on September 13, 2011, and how Mark R. Levin noted that the Solyndra incident seemed to be a "fraud" event or a "scam," and I also kept in mind my belief Solyndra was all phony so that Barack Obama could push "green" on the country and work to shut down oil companies and oil drilling on American territory and shut down coal companies as part of a plot to destroy America.
Note: To learn more about this event or scandal, you are urged to see my document entitled "CAP AND TRADE" and Carbon Dioxide Facts and Nonsense, which can be reached by using this Carbon link, and the document has evidence that shows Henry Waxman's idea about climate change being real and being caused by man is nonsense.Special commentary: "Operation Fast and Furious"--this is another scandal tied to the Barack Obama administration, and smart people understand it is a scandal in which the Barack Obama administration was working to make it seem guns are readily available in the United States of America and the availability of guns has to be restricted, and a smart person knows the Barack Obama administration is made up of communists and socialists who want a high degree of gun control enacted in this country--basically, a policy that outlaws guns--so that the people cannot fight back against them and their policies of "enslavism," as happens in existing communist countries, such as China, Russia, and Cuba.
"Operation Fast and Furious" was a recent operation of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (or ATF) of the federal government, the head of which is a position appointed by a U.S. President, such as Barack Obama. On September 21, 2011, the ATF sent out a letter that noted that people who use "medical marijuana" may not own guns. Whether or not you are opposed to the "medical-marijuana" idea, you should see the ATF has enacted a covert attack on the rights of individuals to own guns (I am not talking about a person using an illegal drug and then using a gun, using the gun to commit a crime, which a person not using an illegal drug can do on the person's own volition). ["Operation Fast and Furious." Wikipedia.com, 1 October 2011; Ingold, John. "ATF say medical-marijuana patients are prohibited from owning guns." Special commentary: Since September 17, 2011, another big story has been tied to "Occupy Wall Street," a protest event to which other protest events are tied, and over the next several weeks, it became publicly evident that the event was being pushed along by communists and anarchists (given how one list of demands from a protester was, in essence, like the planks of the "Communist Manifesto"). In late September 2011 and early October 2011, a number of celebrities showed support for the communistic/anarchistic event, and some of those were Roseanne Barr, Susan Sarandon, Michael Moore, Alyssa Milano, Lupe Fiasco, Russell Simmons, Deepak Chopra, Alex Baldwin, Dr. Cornel West, and Yoko Ono. I state that all the celebrities who supported the "Occupy Wall Street" should be boycotted--you should avoid every piece of entertainment product that they are attached to, since they are enemies of the country and enemies of yours. Advertisement: In March 2009, a book called Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, which had been written by Mark R. Levin, was published. Through the book, Mark R. Levin talks about how tyranny has been creeping into the country, and he also talks about how the country has been changing from a representative republic, which has a constitution as a basis, to something, yet to be defined, and although Mark R. Levin says that it is the statist who is causing the change, especially those who are a part of the Democratic Party and in government jobs, I say that it is communists, socialists, would-be dictators, and Marxists, such as Barack Obama, who are making the changes, such as by discarding The U.S. Constitution. I urge you to see and read Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, and pass it on to others, especially teenagers and young adults (and consider listening to The Mark Levin Show, the nationally syndicated radio show, on a regular basis).
The new television season for the broadcast networks is here, and as usual, TV Guide had a special edition called the "Fall Preview," and, this year, I noticed something different for a "Fall Preview," which was issued for the week of September 12-18, 2011. For years, the special edition devoted to the "fall preview" contained a grid that showed what shows were scheduled for what days and what times on the broadcast networks, and all seven days were covered. Well, this year, the "Fall Preview" grid, which was on pages 42 nd 43, did not have "Saturday" listed, so it seems TV Guide has given up talking about Saturdays, as it seems network executives have. Saturday is, as it has been for several seasons, mostly devoted to repeat stuff. And then there is something subtle to talk about--if you look at the grid for Sunday, you will see TV Guide chopped off the 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Let me add this thought to this edition of T.H.A.T. that has ties to TV Guide but is not really about TV Guide. I looked at the photographs related to the series presented in the "Fall Preview" edition of TV Guide, and I noticed how many more women without shape (such as breast shape) are on new prime-time television season. Here are some of the gals: Emily Van Camp (of Revenge), Jane Levy (of Suburgatory), Ginnifer Goodwin (of Unforgettable), Rachel Bilson (of Hart of Dixie), Jamie King (Hart of Dixie), Zooey Deschanel (of New Girl), Minka Kelly (Charlie's Angels), Annie Ilonzeh (of Charlie's Angels), Whitney Cummings (of Whitney), and Rachael Taylor (of Charlie's Angels). I say that too many women on prime-time television look like girls or little girls, and, I wonder if "liberal" television is pushing "girls" (those shaped like little girls or somewhat like boys or not muscular guys) and not "women" as sex objects to the males of the country, as I have noted in the past. Where are the women? Well, at least in the "Fall Preview" edition of TV Guide, there were two seemingly shapely women shown on page 21--one a brunette gal and one a brown-skin gal (Naturi Naughton)--who are on the television series called The Playboy Club.
Oh, well, The Playboy Club has already been shelved--cancelled.
Announcement for the novice again: To get useful television-delivered news or Internet-delivered news, go to Fox News Channel, WorldNetDaily.com, "The Drudge Report," and CNS News (which is on the Internet and which was launched on June 16, 1998), since the entities do not blindly support Barack Obama, as do CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV (to learn about bad journalism, you might tune in to CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV from time to time to see how they differ from the Fox News Channel and those mentioned with it in presenting political stories and events, and you should discover CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV avoid covering things that make Barack Obama look bad or show his true nature, which could harm you). If you are unclear of my intentions, I say in different words that you should boycott CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV and hope they lose more ratings and advertising revenues, since they are expendable, and it is time for you to find the guts to be mean and heartless and cancel them--since they are hurting you.
Lou Dobbs had U.S. Representative Louis Gohmert (a Republican related to Texas) as a guest on the Fox Business Network on Wednesday, September 14, 2011, and, by the way, it was the same day when Barack Obama said to an audience at North Carolina State University: "...But if you love me, if you love me, you gotta help me pass this bill! If you love me, you got to help me pass this bill!...." (which was tied to the so-called "American Jobs Act," which Barack Obama had said recently he was submitting to the U.S. Congress). At one point during the interview, Louis Gohmert said: "...We finally got it [Barack Obama's bill]. I've finished going through it about five a.m. Tuesday morning, and it's scares me to death. The things this does to the American economy and American jobs is unbelievable. He builds in so much new government. If you like Freddie and Fannie, you will love the American Infrastructure Financing Authority. If you like the FCC running the airwaves, you 're gonna love the brand-new Public Safety Broadband Corporation...." By the way, before Barack Obama filed his bill, Louis Gohmert had filed a bill called the "American Jobs Act," a different bill than what Barack Obama would submit, and so Louis Gohmert got the first official use of the name--"American Jobs Act." (You are strongly urged to see my document entitled Madness in a President and Other Matters of a Defective Mind, which has more about the "if you love me" comment and which can be reached by using this link: Madness.)
On Friday, September 30, 2011, I happened to stumble upon a "garbage" segment offered by Good Morning America (a weekday show on ABC-TV). It was about 8:30 a.m., the one of the hosts--Chris Cuomo--interviewed some kindergarten-type children in a segment called "Bringing America Back: The Kids With the Answers." The segment was garbage, because it was a pandering/propaganda segment, using children. The host asked some questions, one of which was about Barack Obama and jobs and the future. Basically, at the age that the children were, they were stupid about the world, and a person can expect useless answers from children of that age, and yet ABC-TV used the segment to, in essence, promote Barack Obama and a supposedly bright future. Such garbage it was!
Here is one piece of proof--one portion of the segment:
Chris Cuomo: "What do you want to be when you grow up"
Girl: "I wanna to be a President."
Chris Cuomo: "So you want to be President of the United States?"
Girl (affirmatively): "Ah-hum."
Chris Cuomo: "Do you think you're smart enough?"
Girl: "Yes."
Chris Cuomo: "Why should I vote for you?"
Girl: "I will like ask the rich people to give some of the money to the government and ask the government to give the people who really need the money."
Chris Cuomo: "Oh, yeah? Okay. I represent the rich people now. I don't want to give anymore money."
Girl: "Well, then you're greedy."
I say--Yes, such crap can come out of the minds and mouths of children--when they are indoctrinated--and the segment showed off the ugly mind of Chris Cuomo. [If Art Linkletter were alive, I wondered what he would think of the segment--for years, Art Linkletter did interview segments with children on television, but he did not handle them as Chris Cuomo did this segment.]Every Sunday morning, I find I can tune into a poltical-news show and can turn on my recorder at just any point and record nonsense thought, which I could put in an edition of T.H.A.T.. On Sunday, October 2, 2011, I tuned into This Week, and Howard Shultz of Starbucks was a guest for a few minutes. The theme was the gridlock in Washington (or the brokeness of Washington) and the business climate, and Howard Shultz said: "...But ma, make no mistake that the, the issue at hand right now is a disfuntionality in Washington and the lack of understanding that this is not, no longer a crisis, this is an emergency in America, and as a result of that, we need political courage and political will to solve our problems...." This is a flap-doodle statement. At the moment, communists and socialists are working to make the country a one-party country or communistic or socialistic and run mostly by Democrats (a.k.a. communists and socialists today), and what is needed now is blockage in Washington and gridlock in Washington so that no more big laws are enacted that disfavor business--the communists and socialists must be stopped. And, also, the way to solve the economic problem is to get the crap-ass communistic and socialistic ideas out of the way of businesses! Government cannot make businesses make the economy improve through laws that tax and regulate more, and there is no compromising on that thought--it is fact. The economic climate can only change when businesses are not burdened by centralized government rules and dictates, as had been the rule in this country for most of the history of the country! It is hard enough to run a business and keep it running because of competition and the ever-changing whims of buyers or customers, and it is even harder when government, which is made up of, for the most part, selfish people and ignorant people and arrogant people and evil people with little business sense make dictates that they say will equal the playing field or make everyone equal or produce economic justice, which is the what liars--the Democrats--say that they are doing and pretend to do. Actually, Howard Shultz produced no good thought about what the problem with the economy really is and skirted the issue by saying nothing concrete. [I heard worse bits of thought on the show, but I did not have the recorder running, but as I have said, I could start a recorder at any moment and get nonsense to show.]
Public Service Announcement: If you wish to avoid giving a donation to nonprofit groups that support "manmade global warming" legislation or "manmade climate-change" legislation, such as the very bad American Clean Energy and Security Act (which is also known as the Waxman-Markey Bill), give to something better--particularly the Heritage Foundation and the Landmark Legal Foundation, which are organizations that support The U.S. Constitution and are working to defeat Barack Obama's plans to take over the country. (You should see my document entitled "CAP AND TRADE" and Carbon Dioxide Facts and Nonsense, which can be reached through this link: Carbon.)
On Tuesday, September 13, 2011, NBC-TV began airing a new season of Parenthood (on a weekly basis). Ugh! One opening scene had a man serving up cooked eggs for his daughter, and the daughter balked at eating them. The man looked like a pansy-ass man. The rule should have been from the father--Eat the damn eggs, daughter. And so goes the male because of the feminist movement. The father is feminized and lets the children set the rules, and that is the garbage pushed on prime-time television, and the series is a gag piece for real men.
A reminder (updated): Remember to tell your children and grandchildren that they should never pledge to be a "servant to Obama" or a servant to any president, which was a topic in T.H.A.T. #58, and remember to tell them to not blindly "believe" in leaders, and that is a lesson in this edition of T.H.A.T., as it was in the past and will be in the future. By the way, remember, in the "Presidential Video," which is one topic of T.H.A.T. #58, one male says, "I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama."; one female says, "I pledge to be a servant to our president." And make sure your children and grandchildren are not singing songs at school that praise Barack Obama, which has been done by children at some schools around the country since January 2009, since children should never sing songs that praise any politician, especially a megalomaniac and narcissist like Barack Obama.
"Police Arrest Men On I-96"--this was one caption shown on the television screen by WDIV-TV, Channel 4.1, while Ruth Spencer (who was acting as an news anchor) got to cover a live story on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, a little before 4:30 p.m. during her regular half-hour newscast for weekdays (at 4:00 p.m.). She had no real information to work with, except what was being shown by a camera on the helicopter for the station--"Sky 4"--that was flying over an arrest scene on a freeway. Her ad-libbing of what was going on was such a nonsense moment. At one point, a caption shown had "westbound" I-96, and she was saying "eastbound" I-96. She could not report what exit the incident was taking place near, but she said that maybe you should avoid the area. One of her big statements said several times was roughly--Many state police units are on the scene. All in all, it was one of the bad moments of Detroit television news history, and Ruth Spencer really did sound like a dummy.
Another fun--Ha!--television moment was the return of The Biggest Loser, and Alison Sweeney at the opening of the first episode referred to working to fight back the "obesity epidemic" that is sweeping the nation, and I then turned the channel.
Oh, have you seen any "cool" television lately. On September 12, 2011, WMYD-TV began to run "The Cool TV" network on subchannel 20.2. The Cool TV is mostly a network that runs music videos or video clips, covering material from the 1960s to today. In the early 1970s, I was involved in programming music for a university radio station and learned what good and bad tunes are, and since the 1990s, the popular music industry has put out a lot of bad music, and there are a lot of bad songs being played that are not good, and, in fact, I can say that many popular tunes today are depressing or loud or angry--basically, not fun, especially the rap tunes. I watched The Cool TV network for a while in late September 2011, and I did not feel the network was "cool." To me, more than ninety percent of the videos (tunes) were throwaways--angry, unlikable, depressing (which is the state of affairs of the music industry today). "The Cool TV" is not "cool."
How many comedies gave viewers nudity or implied nudity this prime-time season on the broadcast networks so far? Well, in the first episode of the new season of Two and a Half Men, Ashton Kutcher in the nude (covered by special effects). And viewers got to see Zooey Deschanel in the nude (almost) in the first episode of New Girl.
Being away from home, I had to catch an episode of Hart of Dixie (a prime-time series pushed out by The CW Network) in order to get a sampling of credits. The episode looked flat--not only because the lead actress (Rachel Bilson) is one of those gals with almost no breasts and who looks like a little girl--and staged and, mostly, phony; for example, Rachel Bilson had a scene in which she was using those "paddle"-things to bring a guy back to life with a shock, and Rachel Bilson handled the bit like a newbie actress (a high-schooler in acting class for the first time). To me, it looks as if the producers of the series, such as Leila Gerstein (the creator of the series), put a girl in a part that needed a woman (who can act).
I have a "for-the-record" note. Since June 5, 2010, WMYD-TV has aired (though not regularly every week) a locally produced program called Comics Continuum, which is basically a show all about comic-book related things, such as television shows and movies. I finally caught an episode for credits on Monday, September 19, 2011, at 12:30 a.m. (over the last year or so, the show has had various air times). The host is a young woman--Jordan Trovillion. For that episode, Rob Allistetter was the writer, director, and producer, and Rob Allistetter and Jason Karas were the editors, and Jason Karas also did the graphics, and the theme music was credited to Dynamic Music Partners (Lolita Ritmanis, Michael McCuistion, and Kristopher Carter). I guess I can say that, for Detroit, Comics Continuum is the first locally produced show devoted to comic-book-related things. And that is that!
Oh, it is refreshing to hear a man orally beat down an idiot on television, and such as incident happened on Thursday, October 6, 2011, when Herman Cain was on Lawrence O'Donnell's Last Word show on MSNBC. Herman Cain said a number of refreshing things, but I only cover a few. By the way, Lawrence O'Donnell was the idiot, though really he should be called a bad man. Here are the few statements made by Herman Cain:
"...Let me ask you a question. Did you expect every black student in every black college in America to be out there in the middle of every fight? The answer is 'no.' So for you to say--Why was I sittin' on the sidelines?--I think that is an inaccurate deduction that you're tryin' to make. You didn't know, Lawrence, what I was doin' with the rest of my life. You didn't know what my family situation may have been. Maybe--just maybe--I had a sick relative, which is why I might not have been sitting or doing the freedom rides. So what I'm saying, Lawrence--with all due respect, my friend--you're deduction is incorrect and not logical. Okay?..."
"...Lawence, I'm gonna try this one more time. I graduated from high school in 1963. Okay? I didn't start college until the fall of 1963. Now, I don't understand why you're tryin' to make a big deal out of this small point, when we have an economy that is on life support. We have fourteen-million people out of work, and you want to try and deduce something that is incorrect from my words in my book...."
"...The answer is 'yes.' The Democrats have succeeded at brainwashing a lot of the American people. First of all, taxing people more that make over a million dollars isn't gonna solve the problem. Secondly, they have just taken class warfare to another level. When for decades, you are tellin' the American people that we ought to take more from the rich in order to help pay off our debts, but yet the debts don't get paid off, they're just playing the class-warfare card. I would counter that, Lawence, with fifty percent of the taxpayers now pay ninety-seven percent of the taxes. I think that's pretty fair already...."
"...They've brainwashed a lot of black Americans into just voting Democrat and not even considering an idea that would come from a conservative or Republican. The second part--'yes.' Some people--both Republicans and Democrat--have bought into the class-warfare card, but a lot of people haven't. So, you know, that number could be eighty-one percent or eighty-five percent. That just means they've been succeeding. Now, what I'm doin' is to try and unbrainwash people by presenting solutions that'll allow everybody to try and achieve their dreams based upon their own individual effort in this nation. That's what this nation is supposed to be about...."
Remember: MSNBC is the socialist/communist network, and Herman Cain is neither a socialist nor a communist.Remember: The Prisoner with Patrick McGoohan was a television show that was produced across the pond and shown on CBS-TV in the late 1960s, and I urge you to find The Prisoner on DVD, maybe from a library, and watch it, and you should show it--all the episodes--to teenagers, or buy it as a present for teenagers.
Stay well!

P.S. #1: The telephone number of the U.S. Congressional Switchboard is: 1-202-224-3121. (Use it to fight against the creation of a national-health-care system, especially a system pushed through law by a defective thinker, a man who has created nothing, and a man whose history is mostly filled with tearing things down, a man who continually puts down the U.S.A.--Barack Obama. By the way, one of the more recent events in which he put down the entire business community of the country took place on Wednesday May 13, 2009, and you should see the second entry for Wednesday, May 13, 2009, in the document entitled Nonsense Statements and Quotations of Barack Obama).
