In the 1940s, television stations regularly broadcast a test pattern, which has various sizes of circles and various types of lines, and one purpose of the test pattern is so that, a person familiar with adjusting the picture screen, such as height, and the picture was in black and white. The test pattern got better for viewers when color broadcasting became possible in the 1950s. Today, you will not see a test pattern broadcast by any television station based in the Detroit area, and because of that, you might have a hard time finding something good to watch on television.
Instead of watching television for a few minutes, read this edition of Television History and Trivia (or T.H.A.T.).
I was going to begin with something good, which is in the next paragraph, till I watched the speech by Barack Obama in the U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday, September 8, 2011, when he put out for the public to see, if the public was paying attention, his dislike for The United States Constitution. Today, people are fighting in court to kill the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010, because it mandates that you must buy something, and if the law is allowed to stay around, a precedent will have been set in which the federal government can tell you at any time what you can and cannot buy or what you must buy, such as a car or whatever. I know the law is unconstitutional, but "enslavists" are working to convince people it is, and, most certainly, some people in the U.S. Supreme Court--when a case about the law shows up at the U.S. Supreme Court--will say it is (but they are, as I believe, defective and evil people). Social Security is bankrupt, and in the book entitled Liberty and Tyranny; A Conservative Manifesto (which was written by Mark R. Levin), you can see how in the 1930s the law about Social Security was put together through trickery and upheld in court through nonsense interpretation of The United States Constitution, which is a document that is designed to be rigid in relation to what the government can and cannot do, or the country would be a tyranny and the country would have dictators. During the speech on September 8, 2011, Barack Obama said: "...What kind of country would this be if this Chamber had voted down Social Security or Medicare just because it violated some rigid idea about what the government could or could not do...." Yes, to Barack Obama, The United States Constitution is rigid, since it is an annoyance and is in his way, and in his mind, there must be this idea--"Hell with it!" By the way, it was almost as if Barack Obama, through his statement, was pushing the idea that people in the U.S. Congress or the U.S. Supreme Court or elsewhere should forget The United States Constitution and make whatever laws they want to, even if the laws violate the ways of The United States Constitution.
Now I go with something good in video form. I can do welding with an oxy-acetylene torch, and I can cut steel with the torch, and, recently, I had to do some cutting of steel, and I wondered if the Internet had good videos about setting the torch flames. I saw a bunch of videos on YouTube, and most were very vague about what the proper flames should look like for welding, brazing, and cutting, but I found two good videos. One video about setting a welding flame and a brazing flame came from George Goehl, and it is entitled "3 Oxygen Acetylene Flames," and one video about setting a cutting flame had a man named "Freddie" (the name may be misspelled) as the host, and it is called "how to cut with a torch. Oxygen Acetylene welding cutting torch." They are good and useful videos. By the way, a number of videos talked about the "neutral flame," and a viewer could not tell what a "neutral flame" is, since all that could be seen is a big flame coming out of the torches, and one video showed a man cutting steel, and I know the flame was set improperly for cutting since the man had a lot of slag on his work. So, Freddie and George are the guys to see!
On August 1, 2011, television in Detroit got worse for viewers, but only now am I able to report on it, having not been in the Detroit area in early August 2011 around the time so that I could have reported on the change in the previous edition of T.H.A.T.. What happened is the management of the WXYZ-TV group dropped carrying "RTV" (which originally had been known as "RTN," which stood for the Retro Television Network) on 7.2 (the second subchannel for the station) and began to carry "Live Well Network." Ugh! Live Well Network presents mostly cooking shows and infomercials (some of which are cooking related). So since RTV is gone from Detroit, viewers have fewer likable shows to see. Oh, I have to report that the schedule for RTV had been changed drastically a little before WXYZ-TV dropped the network, but the network was still good counter programming to all the other broadcast channels available in Detroit at the time. I have to say that, in the Detroit area WADL-TV airs the greatest number of likable programs, but it does have some that are bad for the long-range image or tone of the station, such as Curb Your Enthusiasm and Cheaters, though they may draw enough viewers to keep them on the station.
On Tuesday, August 30, 2011, I saw information in the Detroit Free Press (Hammerstein, B.J. "NAMES+FACES: WALD launching new channel." Detroit Free Press, 30 August 2011, p. 2D.) that showed television in Detroit was going to get a little better. The story noted that the WADL-station group is going to start carrying "Antenna TV," a network with movies and old television shows, on October 1, 2011, and it will be carried on Channel 38.2. I looked at the schedule of the network, and I saw it has some fun series, but it has All in the Family, which is touted by many persons as a good series and which I tout as a series that is overall unlikable and helped lead to producers making more and more comedies that would not focus on comedy for comedy sake--they pushed or push social-issue crap, unlikable people, and sexual situations. Look at the sitcoms of today! Oh, I am tired of All in the Family and Maude--and the yelling and screaming!
Here is a side note related to All in the Family. Late in the run of the series, Danielle Brisbois played a little girl who comes to live with the Bunkers. Around 1998, Danielle Brisbois was involved with a musical group called the New Radicals, which released an album entitled "Maybe You've Been Brainwashed Too," two songs on which were "Mother We Just Can't Get Enough" and "You Get What You Give," both of which were fun tunes. Later, in 2008, Danielle Brisbois was involved with a band called The Not So Silent Majority, and one song that she sang lead on for the band was "Obama Rock." I say that Danielle Brisbois grew up to be an idiot woman or a supporter of "enslavism" and a big-time enslavist--Barack Obama. Maybe, she was brainwashed!
Advertisement: In March 2009, a book called Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, which had been written by Mark R. Levin, was published. Through the book, Mark R. Levin talks about how tyranny has been creeping into the country, and he also talks about how the country has been changing from a representative republic, which has a constitution as a basis, to something, yet to be defined, and although Mark R. Levin says that it is the statist who is causing the change, especially those who are a part of the Democratic Party and in government jobs, I say that it is communists, socialists, would-be dictators, and Marxists, such as Barack Obama, who are making the changes, such as by discarding The U.S. Constitution. I urge you to see and read Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, and pass it on to others, especially teenagers and young adults (and consider listening to The Mark Levin Show, the nationally syndicated radio show, on a regular basis).
For a number of years, I have been saying that we are in "The Pseudo Information Age and the Age of Ignorance." One reason that I use that set of words is many media people in high-paying jobs are stupid or evil and are passing along defective information. Because so many media people are passing along stupid information or are lying, many American are quite stupid about the United States of America and political ways that are bad for the individual and about the defectiveness of Barack Obama, particularly his mind and beliefs. Here, I am going to show you some examples of the nonsense that media people--on television--present to the American public, and, really, here, I have evidence that showed up on television since I published the previous edition of T.H.A.T. In essence, what I am doing is teaching logic and passing along real knowledge about life.
On Wednesday, August 10, 2011, Michael Bloomberg (the mayor of New York City, New York) was on Good Morning America (a show that airs on ABC-TV on weekday mornings). George Stephanopoulos interviewed him. At one point, Michael Bloomberg said: "...For better or worse, no matter what your political persuasion is, a President is our President. We have to get behind the President...." This man is trying to teach a defective way of life--to have people believe they should follow a man no matter how bad the man is, and Barack Obama is a bad man. A rule of life is--You do not have to follow and get behind and support a bad man.
Eugene Joseph Dionne (a writer at The Washington Post) appeared on the The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell on MSNBC on Wednesday, August 10, 2011. Some of what Eugene Joseph Dionne said is: "...And I think I have a long list of things he [Barack Obama] could do. And, I, I think that what he needs to do is put them to the Republican Congress when they get back and say--Yes, we should do his things about raising unemploy...re, renewing unemployment insurance, payroll tax cuts, infrastructure bank, do something about the mortgage problem, ah, add aid to state and local government. Every time we add private-sector jobs, we're losing state and local jobs...." Much contained with the set of words could be torn down, but I will only comment on one issue. Eugene Joseph Dionne pushed the belief--a defective belief--that "...Every time we add private-sector jobs, we're losing state and local jobs....," making people believe it is bad to add private-sector jobs because it hurts government, and that is high-grade nonsense, especially since the more that the number of private-sector jobs increases, the more people can end up paying taxes to government (government, which produces no lasting wealth or assets, such as goods, in a society gets operating funds from taxes).
And then I have information from TV Guide to show you. In the edition for August 15-28, 2011, the publishers had an article entitled "THE BUCKS START HERE!" (Battaglio, Stephen, and Michael Schneider. 'THE BUCKS START HERE!" TV Guide, 15-28 August 2011, pp. 20-23), and the article had information about who makes what kind of money while working in television. On page 22, it is reported that Lawrence O'Donnell makes about two-million dollars a year, and that means he makes two-million dollars a year for passing along crap information. Also on page 22, it is reported that George Stephanopoulos makes--from working on Good Morning America--about six-million dollars a year, and that means he makes about six-million dollars a year for passing along crap information. Lawrence O'Donnell and George Stephanopoulos support the ways of Barack Obama, who wants to take more taxes from the American people so that he can spend and spend and spend more money. On Sunday, August 21, 2011, David Axelrod, who is a very close associate of Barack Obama's, was a guest on State of the Union on CNN. Look at one statement that David Axelrod said:"...I think what you'll find when the President per, ah, ah, unveils, ah, the entire program that there's nothing in there, ah, that, ah, that reasonable people shouldn't be able to, ah, agree on. Ah, and if we make the House Republicans--in particularly that Tea Party faction--if we make them the standard, ah, we're in deep trouble. This is the group that almost brought us to the brink of default. And, ah, one of the problems that I have, ah, ah, right now, is too few Republicans are willing to stand up and say to that group--Back off, let's do what's good for the country, let's not be so partisan, so ideological that we can't come together and solve our problem...." David Axelrod showed in this statement how he works as a communist propogandist--he lies and uses misinformation. Since January 2011, it has been the Democrats in the U.S. Congress and Barack Obama who have pushed through having the federal government overspend by some five-trillion (or 5,000-billion dollars), and is was not people who believe in the ways of The United States Constitution, who make up what is called the "Tea Party movement" (there is no such thing as a "Tea Party" as a political party). The people who called them "Tea Party" people are people who support the ways of The United States Constitution and are not socialists and communists and the like--all of whom are "enslavists"--who are people like Barack Obama, U.S. Representative John Conyers, and U.S. Senator Harry Reid. The "Tea Party" people did not bring the country nearly to default, and, anyway, before the signing of the Budget Control Act of 2011 into law by Barack Obama, it had been well known that the country was not going to go into default if the Budget Control Act was not made a law, since the country had enough cash to pay off any outstanding debts that came due and had to be paid off. Yes, to David Axelrod, there are not enough Republicans in the U.S. Congress who are "Republicans" in name and socialists and communists in true ideology, so David Axelrod showed that he wants more "Republican" to act like socialists and communists and follow the ways of Barack Obama. People who uphold and believe in the ways of The United States Constitution should not give up to the ways of the socialists and communists and let the socialists and communists run free in the government! And David Axelrod also said on the program: "...We've taken some big hits in the, ah, last six months that nobody, ah, could have anticipated--the Arab Spring and its impact on oil prices, the Japanese earthquake, and the problems that Europe is experiencing now have all impacted on our economy...." David Axelrod's idea that the bad economy in the United States of America is tied mostly to the causes that he listed is nonsense.
It was on Thursday, August 25, 2011, that a man named Austan Goolsbee appeared on Hannity (hosted by Sean Hannity), a show that is aired on weeknights on Fox News Channel. During the show, Austan Goolsbee, who had once been an economic adviser for Barack Obama, made this statement: "...In the year 2010, which is when most of the clips when the President was saying we we're growing again, we were growing! And over that seventeen months, we added two-and-a-half-million jobs. Now, at the beginning of this year, we get earthquakes, tsunamis, revolutions in the Middle East, European financial crises. Now they even got earthquakes outside of Washington, D.C...." Austan Goolsbee passed along crap through television!
Let me show you something that a so-called newscaster would not have done on television in the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s, and 1970s. On August 31, 2011, Ed Schultz was hosting his show called The Ed Show (on MSNBC), and he said: "...Fact! They [Republicans in the U.S. Congress] don't give a damn about you workin' folks in America, and they don't give a damn about creating jobs! And that's why they've just been heckling from the stands. They've never been a player...." This set of words followed about four minutes of misinformation and spin from Ed Schultz related to why John Boehner had not allowed Barack Obama to speak before a joint session of the U.S. House on Representatives at the same time that a Republican debate, which had been scheduled for weeks, was going to take place, and, for one, Ed Schultz noted that Republicans chose not to allow Barack Obama at this requested time because they did not want a jobs bill. Such defective rambling by Ed Schultz--on the highly left-wing--would not have happened years ago, and so you know more about the nature of television today and the communist and communist supporter.
Special note: I would not be a player, if it meant playing with a communist--Barack Obama--and playing with his rules.Announcement for the novice again: To get useful television-delivered news or Internet-delivered news, go to Fox News Channel, WorldNetDaily.com, "The Drudge Report," and CNS News (which is on the Internet and which was launched on June 16, 1998), since the entities do not blindly support Barack Obama, as do CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV (to learn about bad journalism, you might tune in to CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV from time to time to see how they differ from the Fox News Channel and those mentioned with it in presenting political stories and events, and you should discover CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV avoid covering things that make Barack Obama look bad or show his true nature, which could harm you). If you are unclear of my intentions, I say in different words that you should boycott CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV and hope they lose more ratings and advertising revenues, since they are expendable, and it is time for you to find the guts to be mean and heartless and cancel them--since they are hurting you.
Okay, In the early 1980s, Emma Samms began to play Holly Sutton on the soap opera known and General Hospital, which is a daytime show on ABC-TV, and she played the character for a few years, and then went on to do other things, and later she played the character in several more stints. On Monday, August 15, 2011, ABC Family (a cable network) began to run a weekly series entitled The Lying Game. The featured performer in the show-- --plays identical twins. One of the twins is called "Emma," and the other twin is called "Sutton." Okay, got that?
Public Service Announcement: If you wish to avoid giving a donation to nonprofit groups that support "manmade global warming" legislation or "manmade climate-change" legislation, such as the very bad American Clean Energy and Security Act (which is also known as the Waxman-Markey Bill), give to something better--particularly the Heritage Foundation and the Landmark Legal Foundation, which are organizations that support The U.S. Constitution and are working to defeat Barack Obama's plans to take over the country. (You should see my document entitled "CAP AND TRADE" and Carbon Dioxide Facts and Nonsense, which can be reached through this link: Carbon.)
On August 16, 2011, the head of the U.S. Department of Agriculture was Tom Vilsack, and on this day, Tom Vilsack appeared on Morning Joe, a program shown by MSNBC. One comment that Tom Vilsack said in the short interview is: "... I should point out that when you talk about the SNAP program or the food-stamp program, you have to recognize that it's also an economic stimulus. Every dollar of SNAP benefits generates a dollar eighty four in the economy towards economic activity. If people are able to buy a little bit more at the grocery store, then someone's got to stock it, shelve it, package it, process it, ship it. All of those are jobs. Ah, it's the most direct stimulus you can get into the economy during tough times...." This statement is high-profile nonsense and defective thought. Let us say that we have an imaginary country, and there are ten persons in the country, and all the ten persons work and make money, and then five persons get fired or leave their jobs, and that means only five persons are working and making income that is taxed, and the taxed money goes to the government, and the people who do not work get unemployment income from the government, which means the money comes from the people who work and passes through the government to the people who are not working, so what is happening is the government is taking money from people, who then cannot spend the money on stuff, and is giving it to others, so less money can be spent by the people who work to spur the economy, and money taken from the people who work is being spent by the people who do not work, so there is no gain, and there is a loss, since the people who do not work are not making things, which can have value or wealth for a short time or a long time, adding to the overall wealth of the country, but, of course, the government can print more and more money every day that it can give to the people who do not work, but what that does is devalue the value of each dollar in the marketplace and creates inflation. I show that Tom Vilsack promoted crap on television!
Special commentary: Look at three incidents that show up the nature of evil men--communists and socialists and such (people who can be grouped under the heading of "enslavists").
So, did your favorite television newscaster, such as, maybe, Huel Perkins, play video of some events tied to the "Congressional Black Caucus" that I now show you in text form? I start with a statement made by U.S. Representative Cedric Richmond (a Democrat related to Louisiana) on August 17, 2011, in Atlanta (Georgia) at a town-hall event. Cedric Richmond said: "...Actually, we're fighting four wars! In the fourth war, there's a war that the Tea Party, ah, has started with the United States--more particularly the President--and they are willing to in this war have as casualties the fourtheen-point-one-million Americans that don't have a job. They're willing to wreck this economy simply for political gain...." This man spoke crap--though he is a U.S. Representative--since people who might be called members of the Tea Party movement are people who support the ways of The United States Constitution, which, I can prove, is not liked by Barack Obama (who is a communist and black radical). Now, let me jump to a video of U.S. Representative Andre Carson (a Democrat related to Indiana) that was produced at a "Congressional Black Caucus" town-meeting event in Miami (Florida) on August 22, 2011. Look at one thing that Andre Carson said on that day: "...This is the effort that we're seeing of Jim Crow. Some people in Congress, right now, would love to see us as second-class citizens. Some of them in Congress, right now, with the Tea Party movement would love to see you and me--I'm sorry...--hanging on a tree...." This statement shows that Andre Carson--a Muslim--is a racist or a "race baiter." Incidentally, it was Democrats of the South who were instrumental in the lynchings in years past. These two men help show the nature of the Democrat Party as it is today!
Oh, did your favorite television newscast present the information that I do in his paragraph? On Monday, September 5, 2011, Barack Obama was in Detroit to speak before a crowd--hardline union supporters--and U.S. Representative Gary Peters (a Democrat related to Michigan) had spoken a little before Barack Obama did, and one thing Gary Peters did is talk about how Barack Obama worked to bailout the General Motors and Chrysler, and during the discussion, he put down "Tea Party" members, hinting that they are not really the people who support America or are not the working people of America, as shown in his sentence talking about "...Tea Party angst...." Tea Party-type people, who can be blacks, whites, et cetera, are people who support the ways of The United States Constitution, a document that, for one, is designed to block "enslavists" like Barack Obama from working like a dictator over the country, and it is evident Barack Obama does not like The United States Constitution.
Oh, did your favorite television newscast present this information? Also at that union event in Detroit of September 5, 2011, Jimmy Hoffa Jr. (the head of the Teamsters Union) spoke. [By the way, the history of the Teamsters Union is filled with thuggism and corruption and misuse of union dues.] One thing that he said or yelled is: "...We got to keep an eye on the battle that we face--the war on workers. And you see it everywhere, and it is the Tea Party. And you know there's only one way to beat and win that war. The one thing about working people is we like a good fight. And you know what? They got a war. They got a war with us. And there's just gonna be one winner. It's gonna be the workers of a Michigan and America. We're gonna win that war. President Obama, this is your army! We are ready to march! And, President Obama, we want one thing--jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs. That's what we're gonna tell him. He's gonna be. When he sees what we're doin' here, he will be inspired. But he needs help. And, you know what, everybody here's gotta vote. If we go back and keep the eyes on the prize, let's take these son-of-a-bitches out and give America back to America where we belong!...." The subject once again was Tea Party people--people who are fighting against an "enslavist" and quite mentally ill man--Barack Obama. The statement shows up a piece of crap of a man--Jimmy Hoffa Jr. (who, I say, can be called a labor-union "goon," which is a long-used term for such persons). Yes, Jimmy Hoffa Jr.'s statement shows the nature of a thug, a man who wishes to control the stupid workers for self gain (prestige and union-dues money) and a man who likes to hurt people for his gain.In the Flow with Affion Crockett began to run on Fox TV on Sunday, August 14, 2011, in prime time. The first episode was a one-hour version, but the following editions are normally half-hour versions. I saw the program of August 21, 2011, which was a half-hour edition that opened with Chris Brown (who was a guest on the program) having a "Michael Jackson" challenge against Affion Crockett, and the bit was a dead issue, and, generally speaking, the episode was lame and had an unlikable tone, especially the "ego" bit at the end. By the way, during the "Michael Jackson" bit, I felt the audience was providing fake laughter, doing laughter simply because they thought they should and because it was expected of them or because they were plants. In the Flow with Affion Crockett did not flow with comedy that I would want to see from week to week. "For the record," I note that the executive producers listed on the episode that I saw were Marcus King, Jamie Rucker King, Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, Mitchell Hurwitz, Todd Yasui, Carl Jones (who were actually listed as a "co-executive producer"), and Jamie Foxx (the well-known performer, producer, et cetera). And fourteen persons got listed as writers. ["I Love Lucy"--that famous television series of the 1950s, which WADL-TV, Channel 38.1, carried recently--had three to five writers for episodes.]
Commentary: So, on Monday, August 22, 2011, I tuned into WHPR-TV, Channel 33 (analog), to see what was going on, and it was the ten o'clock hour in the morning. Three persons--two guys and one gal--were doing some type of a talk show; I could not get their names, having joined the program in progress. I could easily tell they were pushing socialism and people's getting handouts from the government, and they were Barack Obama supporters. The guy on the right side of the screen had a T-shirt on that promoted the idea of recalling the Mayor Detroit--Dave Bing. One reason that he was pushing for the recall of Dave Bing is he thought Dave Bing was holding back "stimulus" money from Barack Obama and not getting to the "people." During the portion of the program that I was able to see, they were talking about setting up community meetings, and they were pushing people to sign petitions to recall Dave Bing. I can say that one reason that Dave Bing might fail in getting Detroit on a better course is such people as the three who were on the screen--who were pushing socialism--with their beliefs, which will undercut what good efforts that Dave Bing might have. [Note: At 10:00 a.m., the station ran a announcement that promoted the idea that you can have a show on WHPR-TV, which, as was promoted, can reach a potential audience of 1,000,000. The number might indicate how many households the station might be able to be seen in. It seems very likely to me WHPR-TV does not have 1,000,000 viewers.]
"For the record," I note that Dish Nation began to run on WJBK-HD, Channel 2.1, on Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at 12:00 a.m., and it runs at 12:00 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. This syndicated product has DJs (a term used very loosely) and their associates of morning radio shows from several cities around the country talking about celebrities and entertainment topics, and they focus on the "dish" stuff (put-down stuff). One team is Blaine Fowler and Allyson Martinek of WDVD-FM in Detroit, and the other regular people seen are Scott Shannon, Todd Bettengill, Cooper Lawrence, DJ Felli Fel, Rock-T, Jessi Malay, Rickey Smiley, Gary with da Tea, Ebony Steele, and HeadKrack. The teams do a lot of laughing, but much of the laughing is not really sparked by something funny, but I note that, generally speaking, the cast is likable (I say that not knowing what is really in their heads).
On Saturday, September 3, 2011, I tuned into WGTQ-DT (Channel 8.1), an ABC affiliate in Michigan, and noticed it as carrying a new weekly block of programs for young people. It began at 9:00 a.m. with Jack Hanna's Wild Countdown, and the following programs were Ocean Mysteries with Jeff Corwin from Georgia Aquarium, Born to Explore, Culture Click (which was hosted by a woman named Nzinga Blake, who, to me, did not look likable), Everyday Health, and Food for Thought with Claire Thomas. Overall, the block of programming had that "liberal" tone to it, and I really became angry when I saw the opening of Food for Thought with Claire Thomas, which promoted a sham--Michelle Obama's tending to her garden. Each program ran a half hour, and the block, of course, ran for three hours, and, overall, the block was shown under the umbrella title called "Litton's Weekend Adventure" (Litton is, for one, a program-syndicating company). I consider the block of programming "nonsense television" and something to be avoided and forgotten.
A reminder (updated): Remember to tell your children and grandchildren that they should never pledge to be a "servant to Obama" or a servant to any president, which was a topic in T.H.A.T. #58, and remember to tell them to not blindly "believe" in leaders, and that is a lesson in this edition of T.H.A.T., as it was in the past and will be in the future. By the way, remember, in the "Presidential Video," which is one topic of T.H.A.T. #58, one male says, "I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama."; one female says, "I pledge to be a servant to our president." And make sure your children and grandchildren are not singing songs at school that praise Barack Obama, which has been done by children at some schools around the country since January 2009, since children should never sing songs that praise any politician, especially a megalomaniac and narcissist like Barack Obama.
On Thursday, February 7, 1985, at 10:00 p.m., WTVS-TV (a PBS affiliate), Channel 56, aired Amos 'n Andy: Anatomy of a Controversy, which was hosted by George Kirby, and the show looked at the 1951-1953 sitcom known as The Amos 'n Andy Show, and on Tuesday, August 24, 2011, WHPR-TV, Channel 33, aired the show. (By the way, I do not know if WHPR-TV paid any license fee to air the show or simply played it off a DVD without paying a license fee). I report that Amos 'n Andy was a likable show, having likable performers and characters, even those characters that were con artists, despite what the NAACP people thought in the 1960s when the show was pulled from syndicated and what the NAACP people think today (the NAACP is a communistic and socialistic entity). The Amos 'n Andy Show was and is certainly a much better series than In the Flow with Affion Crockett is.
Note: It was CBS-TV that aired The Amos 'n Andy Show in 1951, and the advertiser of the show--Blatz Beer--was paying about $40,000 a week to sponsor the show.Remember: The Prisoner with Patrick McGoohan was a television show that was produced across the pond and shown on CBS-TV in the late 1960s, and I urge you to find The Prisoner on DVD, maybe from a library, and watch it, and you should show it--all the episodes--to teenagers, or buy it as a present for teenagers.
Stay well!

P.S. #1: The telephone number of the U.S. Congressional Switchboard is: 1-202-224-3121. (Use it to fight against the creation of a national-health-care system, especially a system pushed through law by a defective thinker, a man who has created nothing, and a man whose history is mostly filled with tearing things down, a man who continually puts down the U.S.A.--Barack Obama. By the way, one of the more recent events in which he put down the entire business community of the country took place on Wednesday May 13, 2009, and you should see the second entry for Wednesday, May 13, 2009, in the document entitled Nonsense Statements and Quotations of Barack Obama).
P.S. #2: Do not forget that, since late 2008, I have put within editions of Michigan Travel Tips information about "green technology," "global warming" stuff, and "climate change" stuff, and to get to the catalog for all the Michigan Travel Tips publications, use this link: Travel.
