Generally speaking, between the 1940s and the 1970s, when television reviewers did television reviews, they only had to review programs for whether or not the productions were technically good, whether or not the writing was good, and weather or not the acting was good, and television reviewers did not have to deal with clearly out-in-the-open propaganda and warn people about it. (However, even by the 1960s, television news entities, such as CBS-TV with Walter Cronkite, did slant the news to the liberal side.) Today, what honest television reviewers remain--and I know none other than myself--have to deal with out-in-the-open propaganda of communists and such, which has been developing since the 1960s (such as around the time of The Bold Ones and The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour) to attain the current level. This edition of T.H.A.T. has examples of propaganda shows, but it does have an example of at least one good show, which was produced in the Detroit area for Detroit-area viewers.
Well, if the management of WTVS-TV, Channel 56, a PBS affiliate is wondering why real guys have abandoned for the most part the station, I have an answer. The answer is not giving viewers a good idea about when programs will run. Around 12:00 a.m., on Sunday, October 31, 2010, I noticed in a television-program-listings publication that at 2:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 31, 2010, WTVS-TV was going to air a program that I wanted to see. I set the recorder. Later on the day of October 31, 2010, I checked to see what I had recorded. Aaah! I ended up with a Woody Allen film. Ugh! Here is what was listed in the television-program-listings publication and what I did not get--Belly Dance Superstars: Live from Shanghai (which is actually known as Bellydance Superstars: The Art of Bellydancing: Live from Shanghai). What do you think I would rather see--Woody Allen or belly dancers? Well, I did research and found--it seems--the program had been run at 1:00 a.m. on October 31, 2010. Dang! When are those belly dancers coming back?
Some new series of the 2010-2011 broadcast network season have already been canceled, and none of the cancellations have surprised me, but even though some series have been canceled, I now provide a review of what the overall feel of the 2010-2011 season has been--in short, I will say that it has been boring because the overall feel of the broadcast networks is boring. Hawaii Five-0, which I talked about in the previous edition of T.H.A.T., is a remake or retread, and that fills an hour a week at least on CBS-TV, and this Hawaii Five-0 is only one of a number of series offered to viewers this season that have titles that have been used before. Chase is a series on NBC-TV that fills an hour of time each week, and that title has been used before; for example, a made-for-TV movie that was a pilot for a series was entitled Chase, and it aired on NBC-TV on March 24, 1973, and the series entitled Chase aired during the 1973-1974 season on NBC-TV, and, by the way, Jennifer O'Neill was one performer in a TV-movie entitled Chase that was shown on November 23, 1985, on CBS-TV, and The Chase was a TV-movie that NBC-TV aired on February 10, 1991. Lone Star was offered up to viewers this season by Fox (and it only lasted for two episodes), and NBC-TV aired a pilot for a proposed series entitled Lone Star on July 31, 1983 (and, by the way, Larry Hagman hosted a documentary series entitled Lone Star that PBS-affiliated stations used in 1985, and the focus of the series was Texas. The Defenders was a series that was shown on CBS-TV from roughly September 1961 to September 1965, and it featured such actors as E.G. Marshall and Robert Reed, and now there is a new The Defenders on CBS-TV for an hour every week (at least), and it features Jim Belushi and Jerry O'Connell. Fox TV has a series called The Good Guys, and that series title was used by CBS-TV for a series that was shown during the 1968-1969 season, which featured such performers as Bob Denver and Herb Edelman. This season, Human Target is a series that belongs to Fox TV, and in the 1991-1992 season, ABC-TV gave viewers Human Target, which had Rick Springfield as one of the regular performers, and the Human Target series of the 1991-1992 focused on a character called Christopher Chance, as the current series does. From roughly early 1997 to early 2001, La Femme Nikita was a series shown by USA that was about a woman named Nikita (played by Peta Wilson), and Nikita (played by Maggie Q) is back on television--this time Fox TV--in a series called Nikita. NBC-TV still has Parenthood on the air (the series is a hold-over from last season), and Ed Begley Jr. (a big-time "Liberal") was a featured performer in the series called Parenthood that NBC-TV had for viewers in the 1990-1991 season (and, incidentally, The WB network gave viewers The Parent 'Hood during the 1994-1995 season, the 1995-1996 season, and the 1996-1997 season (and some episodes were seen on the network in early mid-1999)). Roughly, in the 1990s, a big hit for Fox TV was Beverly Hills, 90210, and since September 2008, The CW has had 90210. This season, the "NCIS" franchise uses at least two hours a week, and the "Law & Order" franchise uses at least two hours a week, and the "CSI" franchise uses at least three hours a week. I must say this--and, yes, it is commentary--there are such gag-me-with-a-tuner series as The Amazing Race, The Biggest Loser, Dateline, 48 Hours Mystery, America's Next Top Model, School Pride, Survivor: Nicaragua, Super Nanny, and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, and those shows that I have listed eat up nine hours. In addition, some shows get a double run in a week, because, for example, CBS-TV and NBC-TV run extra episodes of some series on Saturday evenings, which eat up a bunch of hours--up to five hours--each week. Of course, for many, many years, Fox TV has been giving double runs of Cops on Saturdays, and that eats up an hour each week. In the comedy lineup, viewers have what network executives and many viewers would call "comedy" shows, but many are crude, especially when they talk about "penis" stuff (as Mike & Molly has) and $#@! My Dad Says, and title for $#@! My Dad Says is a title that would never have been put on television in the heyday of television--from the 1940s to about the 1980s, when producers knew how to make likable things and make fun things (which--I say--the producers of today cannot make because they are not fun people and do not know how to make fun). As I noted in the previous edition of T.H.A.T., a lot of the shows are murder shows, and they are all are doing the same thing (and then there are a bunch of such shows on cable networks). And that is why the broadcast networks are boring.
Here is an aside: Let me go back to the 1950s. Then--yes--there were a lot of cowboy series or western series on the broadcast networks. However, for example, there were variety shows, and sometimes there were "specials" that featured big-name performers, and much time was filled with really fun comedies ("sitcoms"), and there were detective shows, and prime-time schedules had game shows. And during that long-ago period, viewers did not get double runs of series in a week or have series that had several episodes shown in the same week, which is commonplace today (and one example of that is Dancing with the Stars).
Yes, indeed, the broadcast networks are in big trouble, unable to make fun shows and--it seems to me--unwilling make fun shows, and, certainly, since a lot of hard-line liberals are producing television shows (who are nothing like the liberals of the 1950s, who liked the country), few people are making stories that look at the U.S. in a good light or want to to make stories that look at the U.S. in a good light, and all those liberal producers are pushing their politically defective ideas in shows--their communism, their socialism, et cetera--and that makes the stories unawatchable.
Advertisement: In March 2009, a book called Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, which had been written by Mark R. Levin, was published. Through the book, Mark R. Levin talks about how tyranny has been creeping into the country, and he also talks about how the country has been changing from a representative republic, which has a constitution as a basis, to something, yet to be defined, and although Mark R. Levin says that it is the statist who is causing the change, especially those who are a part of the Democratic Party and in government jobs, I say that it is communists, socialists, would-be dictators, and Marxists, such as Barack Obama, who are making the changes, such as by discarding The U.S. Constitution. I urge you to see and read Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, and pass it on to others, especially teenagers and young adults (and consider listening to The Mark Levin Show, the nationally syndicated radio show, on a regular basis).
All is not bad with television in Detroit! In Detroit, though, there is high unemployment, and communists and the like are screwing up the city, and the Detroit Symphony, which has been around since 1893, is having big budget troubles--because of lack of attendence--and musicians are striking. On Sunday, October 24, 2010, WADL-TV, Channel 38, did something that reminded me a bit of what television was in the 1940s in Detroit, when the medium was being developed and producers were trying all sorts of programs, such as classic-dance specials. On October 24, 2010, WADL-TV aired a two-hour live program entitled The Musicians of the Detroit Symphony: Playing with Pride, and it was a program that was hoping to promote the Detroit Symphony.
Let me explain what the program was. It was hosted by Emery King and took place at Christ Church Cranbrook (which is in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan). The program started with a presentation of "The Four Seasons" by Antonio Vivaldi, and soloists were Sarah Crocker, Kimberly Kennedy, Elayna Duitman, and Joseph Siliverstein, who was also the conductor for the presentation. There was an intermission, during which Corbin Wagner (who plays the French horn and is a non-professional interviewer) interviewed Caroline Coade and Ken Thompkins, two members of the Detroit Symphony. Then, the second presentation was Johannes Brahm's "Symphony No. 2 in D Major" (Op. 73). The final segment was an interview--Corbin Wagner interviewed Rick Robinson, who is a bass player for the symphony.
I can report that, basically, the program was good. The music was good. The camera work was good. The sound was good. The audience was good (avoiding coughing and such when music was being played and when there were breaks). And Corbin Wagner was good enough as the interviewer, given his experience or lack of experience.
So, who gets applause for producing and putting together the program? The executive producer was Kevin Adell (the C.E.O. and owner of WADL-TV). The producer was Steve Antoniotti. The consulting producer was Denise 'Doty' Johnson. The director of engineering was Tom Ponsart. The director was Bob Gothro. The audio designer was Ed Wolfrum.
I do not list all the persons who took part, but I note that I had to use two index cards to reference this program in my television files (so if you took part in the program and do not see yourself listed here, you are listed in my files--for history).
Yes, there was a bad part, which reminded me of my days of taking television-production class and television-direction class at Wayne State University, Detroit, in the early 1970s. When Corbin Wagner was doing the interviews and when he and the interviewee were seen in a two-shot, the two persons looked as if they were cut-outs. What seemed was happening during the interviews was Corbin Wagner and the interview were sitting before a "green screen"-like thing, and a background was put behind them electronically. When the two-shot was on the screen, the two persons in the shot looked flat.
Well, that's that--the good and the bad.
Remember two thoughts. I urge WADL-TV to air the program yet again, if possible, such as on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day or Christmas Day evening (it has been repeated at least once). And this program should be given a local Emmy (given all the other garbage that has received local Emmys in the past).
Here is a side note--a commentary thought. Emery King was once a reporter and news anchor for Channel 4 in Detroit (I will not list the dates here). He has been involved in producing specials for local television, such as for Channel 56, and examples are what I call the sickening programs about race relations in Detroit. Although Emery King did a good job for The Musicians of the Detroit Symphony: Playing with Pride, I wish the program would have had a better man or woman as host.
Hope WADL-TV runs The Musicians of the Detroit Symphony: Playing with Pride again.Oh, I have to back up a day from October 24, 2010, and talk about another program broadcast by WADL-TV. Channel 38 airs a program entitled Schwartz's Law, a locally program talk show featuring Michael Schwartz, on Saturdays. On October 23, 2010, I tuned into the program to get a sample set of credits. The executive producers of the program were Michael Schwartz and Kevin Adell. Wake up guys! The sound quality during the interview segment was bad--really bad--and it was the type of bad that my instructor in television courses of the 1970s--Dr. Jack Warfield--would have flunked me for doing. Yeah, hide a microphone in some simple object on the table, even you have to drill a hole up the center of the table! [I did not watch the entire program, since some of the early thoughts from the interviewee were defective.]
So, WADL-TV, you get one good mark and one bad mark, and it is surprising that I have to give you one bad when your one good was truly good.
Commentary: Yeah! Do you know a "Meathead" who played a "Meathead" on television? Well, Rob Reiner is a "Meathead" who played "Meathead" on television? Rob Reiner played "Meathead" on All in the Family (a series broadcast by CBS-TV) from the 1970-1971 season through the 1977-1978 season on a regular basis. On October 22, 2010, Rob Reiner showed the world that he is a "Meathead" in real life, and I present the evidence in the "Rob Reiner" section of the document entitled Never Forget These Media "Darlings" ?: A Guide for the Individual in the United States of America, which can be reached by using the link at the end of this document.
On Thursday, October 19, 2010, I came across an article--such a little thing--in the Detroit Free Press entitled "Obama to appear on 'Mythbusters'" (Hammerstein, B.J. "Obama to appear on 'Mythbusters'." Detroit Free Press, 19 October 2010, p. 2D.). The scheduled date for the episode that would have Barack Obama was December 8, 2010. Given all that I know about Barack Obama, I was appalled the Mythbusters gang would have Barack Obama within one of their episodes. It is no myth--the Mythbusters gang is made up of supporters of communists,Marxists, socialists, et cetera. I urge you to avoid Mythbusters.
Announcement: I have just urged you to avoid Mythbusters, and now I will give you something else to see instead. On October 21, 2010, I posted a portion of a fiction story--a portion of a manuscript for a book--entitled An Erotic Tale at Horror Castle on the Internet. The copy of the story on the Internet is an adult story or a story for adults, but it is not the "adult" version, so it is an Internet-friendly piece. I make it clear, though, it is not a kiddy story, or I can say that it is not for children. To see An Erotic Tale at Horror Castle, you can use this Castle link, and have fun and have fun passing the document along.
Lately, I have been pushing the idea that "communism" and "socialism" and "liberalism" and the like should be considered "enslavism," which is a political ideology pushed by people who wish to rule others as kings or dictators and the like, and such persons can be considered "enslavists" or "enslavers" (such persons work to enslave other men and women, and it is their life's work). "Enslavists," such as "communists," dislike the private sector or businesses, because people in the business world are threats to "enslavists" or "enslavers," because business people can be seen as being higher in stature than enslavists or enslavers are in a community, a country, or the world. Enslavists or enslavers want to have the most power that they can, and enslavers and enslavists in the United States of America over the last number of decades have be working to beat down businesses, and that is especially true lately--so that they make citizens come to hate business people. During the end of the week of Monday, October 4, 2010, and the beginning of the week of Monday, October 11, 2010, people were hearing how Barack Obama and Democrats were attacking an entity known as the "U.S. Chamber of Commerce." By the way, throughout the United States of America, communities have, as they have had for many decades, entities called "chambers of commerce," and such entities are business-oriented organizations that work to promote to people, such as tourists, that the tourists should come to the communities spend money or use the services of the businesses. Businesses provide jobs to people, who get money that they can use to live their lives. Look at what happened on Face the Nation on Sunday, October 10, 2010. David Axelrod was a guest on the program, which is a weekly program shown by CBS-TV, and David Axelrod is a Senior Advisor to Barack Obama, and the host of the show--Bob Schieffer--played a commercial from the Democratic National Committee that, for one, attacked the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Keep in mind the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is not a federal-government entity. The part of the commercial that was played was: "Karl Rove, Ed Gillespie--they're Bush cronies. The U.S. Chamber of Commerice--they're big schills for big business. And they're stealing our democracy, spending millions from secret donors to elect Republicans to do their bidding in Congress. It appears they've even taken secret foreign money to influence our elections. It's incredible Republicans benefiting from secret foreign money." Bob Scheiffer said, "Now, I want to ask you about that, because The New York Times, ah, looked into the Chamber specifically and said, 'The Chamber really isn't, ah, putting foreign money into the campaign...." and "...But this part about foreign money, it, that appears to be peanuts, Mr. Axelrod. I'm mean, eh, eh, do you have any evidence that it's anything other than peanuts?" David Axelrod then said, "Well, do you have any evidence that it's not, Bob? The fact is the Chamber [the U.S. Chamber of Commerce] has asserted that, but they won't release any information about where their campaign money is coming from, and that's at the core of the problem here...." Later, David Axelrod said, "...If the Chamber opens up its books and says 'Here's where our political money's coming from. Here are the million dollar, two-million, or three-million dollar contributions we've gotten from this company or that industry.' Ah, they will know. But until they do that, all we have is their assertion." (By the way, the 1907 Tillman Act says that foreign money cannot be used in elections.) Bob Schieffer then said: "Do you? I guess I would put it this way. If, if the only charge three weeks into the election that the Democrats can make is that this somehow, this may or may not be foreign money coming into the campaign, ah, is that the best you can do?" And David Axelrod said, "No, I think that, dah, we have, ah, ah, a more fundamental concern, Bob, which is that the, the Republican Party, the interest groups who are now the, the major force in some of these campaigns want to turn the clock back to the very same policies that got us into this mess in the first place, that exploded our deficits, that put the special interests in control to write their own rules--the oil industry, Wall Street, insurance industry--that presided over economic policies...."
To me, David Axelrod sounded like a man with an ill mind who was lashing out. The tone of his voice was clearly that of a man on defense, trying to push a lie, He sounded at least somewhat desperate, like a little boy trying to pass on a cover up about something that he had done wrong.
Really, this incident should not be forgotten over the next two years--it should be remembered right up to the election of November 2012--Barack Obama's man attacked all businesses.Announcement for the novice again: To get useful television-delivered news or Internet-delivered news, go to Fox News Channel, WorldNetDaily.com, "The Drudge Report," and CNS News (which is on the Internet and which was launched on June 16, 1998), since the entities do not blindly support Barack Obama, as do CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV (to learn about bad journalism, you might tune in to CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV from time to time to see how they differ from the Fox News Channel and those mentioned with it in presenting political stories and events, and you should discover CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV avoid covering things that make Barack Obama look bad or show his true nature, which could harm you). If you are unclear of my intentions, I say in different words that you should boycott CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV and hope they lose more ratings and advertising revenues, since they are expendable, and it is time for you to find the guts to be mean and heartless and cancel them--since they are hurting you.
On Thursday, October 28, 2010, I watched a bit of The Talk, the new weekday show on CBS-TV for women. The show features five women talking about women things--Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne, Sara Gilbert, Leah Remini, and Holly Robinson-Peete. On this day, they got on the subject of divorce (the topic came up when it was reported that the parents of Miley Cyrus were getting a divorce). Holly Robinson-Peete mentioned that her parents got divorced when she was young, around the time her father became a regular on Sesame Street. Sara Gilbert mentioned her parents split. And Leah Remini said that her parents also split. What you have is a bunch of women who had defective childhoods, and it seems to me these women will pass along their defective ways to women all over the country through this show on CBS-TV. By the way, Sharon Osbourne has had a defective family, a highlight of which has been drug use.
Public Service Announcement: If you wish to avoid giving a donation to nonprofit groups that support "manmade global warming" legislation or "manmade climate-change" legislation, give to something better--particularly the Heritage Foundation and the Landmark Legal Foundation, which are organizations that support The U.S. Constitution and are working to defeat Barack Obama's plans to take over the country. (You should see my document entitled "CAP AND TRADE" and Carbon Dioxide Facts and Nonsense, which can be reached through this link: Carbon.)
I thought I should mention this, since no one else did or will. Coleman Young Jr. still hosts the television program called The Young Effect on WGPR-TV, Channel 31 (analog) on Sunday evenings. On Sunday, October 31, 2010, his guest was a big-time Marxist--a woman named Jocelyn Benson, who was running as a Democrat to become the Secretary of State in Michigan (in relation to the election of November 2, 2010). You may be unaware but Marxists have been working to get elected as Secretaries of States in the states, since Secretaries of States oversee elections in the states, and that means Marxists--who are lairs and enslavists and dislike the United States of America--can make it easier for other Marxists, communists, and people like Barack Obama to corrupt elections. By the way, Coleman Young Jr. talks like a Marxist. I wonder how many people who watched The Young Effect of October 31, 2010, were unaware just how dangerous Marxists--like Coleman Young Jr. and Jocelyn Benson--would be for Detroit and Michigan, and I wonder how many people did not understand Jocelyn Benson passed along Marxist propaganda on the program. Ugh! Incidentally, Coleman Young Jr. was running to be a State Senator, and such a dangerous man he is, being a big supporter of Jocelyn Benson and Barack Obama, who is truly an evil man--even for blacks--since Marxism and communism and socialism and like defective political ideologies have no color barrier--enslavers feel no remorse about enslaving and using those of the same color or race as they are. (Fortunately for Detroiters, Jocelyn Benson lost in the election, and unfortunately for Detroiters, Coleman Young Jr. won.)
I note this--not for a moment did Jocelyn Benson's facial expressions show sincerity and her smiles were forced, yet a bunch of blacks in Detroit put their trust in her face, and I say that--it seems to me--some blacks in Detroit have never learned what the face of real evil is.
By the way, I see WGPR-TV has been running things like old TV-movies and episodes of The Beverly Hillbillies, and I wonder if they have obtained the rights to air those things or they are, for example, simply running DVDs without paying license fees.
Oh, did you watch the election-results programs of November 2, 2010/November 3, 2010, on television? I avoided them. I did come across a piece of information about Detroit that you probably missed and I feel you must be aware of. There was an election for a new governor in Michigan on November 2, 2010. Of the two main possible winners, one person was a Republican (though not a "conservative"), and one was a Marxist, running as the representative of the Democratic Party. It is very, very rare when a person will win an election by winning with more than 80 percent of the vote, and when such a thing happens, it is news or should be. Marxism is not what the country was founded on, yet in Detroit in the election for governor, the Marxist--Virg Bernero--won with 94 percent of the vote. That figure of "94 percent" shows that Detroit is a dead city and more pain is going to come to the people of Detroit for decades and decades to come! ["How Snyder won." Detroit Free Press, 4 November 2010, p. 3A.]
And now I have a lesson to pass along to what are probably the very few smart black girls, the very few smart young black women, or the very few smart black women who are left in Detroit. Detroit cannot be saved in your lifetimes. Detroit has to become even more a place of pain till there is a revolt against enslavism--a revolt by blacks (the regular citizens) against the blacks who are the enslavers (politicians and the like). Detroit has to fall apart more to expose to an unmistakable degree the defectiveness of the enslavers' ideology (since people just do not believe yet, though evidence is all around). Get out, girl! Get smarter, girl! Put yourself where you can be seen by smart and honorable good men and leave the players and slugs of Detroit behind. Nothing is guaranteed in life, but if you try, you may find better, though it may take years or decades; if you do not gamble and try, you will gain nothing, and you will be a slave to what Barack Obama believes--enslavism (and an ant society). I wish the best for you. To see evidence of why Detroit is dead, see my document entitled Detroit and Death: A Future View of the United States of America, which can be reached by using this link: Detroit. As inspiration for you to push on, you should see my document entitled An Erotic Tale at Horror Castle, which can be reached by using this link: Castle.Hold it! On Monday, November 8, 2010, the mayor of Detroit (Dave Bing) and other persons were at WXYZ-TV, Channel 7, in Detroit to make commercials under this banner: "I'm a Believer." It looks at if the commercials will begin to run somewhere, such as in Detroit, in January 2011. The idea is to get people involved in volunteering to make the city better, such as by picking up trash. So, you have a city--Detroit--where the full unemployment rate is above twenty percent, and now you have the mayor and others working to get people not to work--where they get pay--but to volunteer. It seems the advertising campaign has $30,000 in the budget. What nonsense it is! The mayor and his associates are not working to make it better for businesses--even small businesses--to get going in Detroit, such as by spending time on reducing burdens related to rules and laws on businesses, but are working to get out-of-work people to volunteer. Should not people out of work be looking for jobs? When people have jobs and feel better about their lives, they feel better about where they live, and, usually, they volunteer to help neighbors, neighborhood groups, and community entities (during their spare time), and they do not have to be sold--through commercials--to volunteer. Yes, Detroit is a dead city! ["'I'm a Believer' ad campaign in Detroit." WOOD-TV, 9 November 2010, 10:42 a.m. EST.]
A reminder (updated): Remember to tell your children and grandchildren that they should never pledge to be a "servant to Obama" or a servant to any president, which was a topic in T.H.A.T. #58, and remember to tell them to not blindly "believe" in leaders, and that is a lesson in this edition of T.H.A.T., as it was in the past and will be in the future. By the way, remember, in the "Presidential Video," which is one topic of T.H.A.T. #58, one male says, "I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama."; one female says, "I pledge to be a servant to our president." And make sure your children and grandchildren are not singing songs at school that praise Barack Obama, which has been done by children at some schools around the country since January 2009, since children should never sing songs that praise any politician, especially a megalomaniac and narcissist like Barack Obama.
Well, maybe it is time for humor. On Monday, November 1, 2010, NBC-TV gave viewers a program called The Women of SNL, and the program showed off, for instance, the work on Saturday Night Live of Kristin Wiig, Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph, Cheri Oteri, Rachel Dratch, Amy Poehler, Laraine Newman, Ana Gasteyer, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Nora Dunn. And if you want humor, that program is not one to see, whether on a Internet presentation or in repeat form on NBC-TV. For the most part, The Women of SNL showed off a lot of unfunny and unpleasant ugly women, and, in fact, it was a painful presentation to watch.
Oh, I did not see Victoria Jackson on The Women of SNL, and I bet she was not presented on the program since she does not support Barack Obama.
Boy, oh, boy, Nora Dunn is truly an ugly woman!
On Tuesday, November 2, 2010, I was flipping through the channels and for a few moments caught a bit of The Doctors, a show that is syndicated on a Monday-through-Friday basis. The topic, which I caught in midstream, was something about the "Girl Up" challenge related to the United Nations and some type of trip by a host to Africa. It seems The Doctors are going to make Africa all better. I say that the only way to fix Africa is to get the people in Africa to throw off dictatorships, tribal crap, and communism and get people in this country to stop throwing money at the continent without teaching how something like a U.S. Constitution government works. I say in jest, "So feel good, and send money to the United Nations and support The Doctors, which supports the United Nations."
Okay, it is true some of the staffers of TMZ, which is syndicated on a Monday-through-Friday basis, are dumb and dangerous. On Thursday, November 4, 2010, Harvey Levin, who is the host, got on the subject of a city in California--San Francisco--banning prizes or toys in McDonald's "Happy Meals." I say that a government entity in this country has no authority or right to make such a law, and I say that, to make such a law, the entity that makes the law is tyrannical, and, in essence, that was Harvey Levin's point of view. Unfortunately for Harvey Levin, some of his staffers, such as a blonde, are dumb and argued it was okay, and those staffers are young persons, and since the show is produced in California, you can see why I call California, which is bankrupt, is a dead state--it having citizens who are dumb and who elect such defectives--Marxists and communists--as Nancy Pelosi, Jerry Brown, Barbara Boxer....
Now, I have a series for you to watch out for and have your children avoid. On Sunday, November 7, 2010, I saw an episode of Eco Company, a syndicated program, on WMYD-TV, Channel 20.1. The series is a highly left-wing show hosted by young persons (Jordan Fowler, Adam Courtin, Jessica Mann, Brendan Young, and Jalena Xeane-Lee), and it focuses on saving energy, saving the planet, and manmade-global-warming nonsense, and on the episode that I saw, I saw, for instance, Jalena Xeane-Lee do a story in which she was in San Francisco and made an adobe brick and made cookies (only a few) through a cheaply constructed solar-energy system to save the planet. The program--with a highly propaganda slant that communists might do--comes from Red Willow Films and Trifecta Entertainment & Media, and the executive producer is Robert N. Anderson. Be aware of what your chilren are watching! (You are urged to see my document entitled "CAP AND TRADE" and Carbon Dioxide Facts and Nonsense, which can be reached by using this link: Carbon.)
And then on Sunday, November 7, 2010, WXYZ-TV had an ecology-based program pushing a "green" life, and this program was entitled Golden Age of Green. One main goal of the program was to promote the idea that CO2 is bad for the environment, even though CO2 is what plants need to live. One fact that was presented--used to scare people--was each person produces "22 tons of CO2 a year." So? Although the manmade-global-warming or the manmade-climate-change idea has been proved to be a hoax, the communistic environmentalists are pushing on, such as pushing on for "cap-and-trade" laws in the United States of America, though not pushing it for such places as China and India. So, who put this propaganda together? It was sponsored by Professional Engineers in California Government. California is controlled by left-wing people--Marxist-type people--and is bankrupt, and to add to that, on November 2, 2010, enough people in California voted for a defective man to be the next governor--Jerry Brown, who had been a governor for the state in the past and helped guide the way to what California is now. Ask yourself--Why did government people in a dead state put together this program that could be seen elsewhere in the country? The television program was written, directed, and produced by Filmsight Productions (Brad Marshland, Morgan Schmidt-Feng, Rivkah Beth Medow, and Chris Brown). Oh, the host was Becky Worley. At the end of the program, the producers showed all these wonderful scenes--utopian scenes--some of which had little children being happy little children, and the producers played the song called "Right Now," which sounded like one of those left-wing anthem songs or one of those we-can-do-to songs. B. Quincy Griffin wrote the music for the production.
Let me remind you of something and make a contrast. Back in the 1950s and 1960s, television stations aired music shows (dance shows), movies, bowling shows, wrestling shows, et cetera on Saturdays and Sundays during the daytime. And now television stations show infomercials and propaganda pieces, such as shows about "CO2."
Remember: The Prisoner with Patrick McGoohan was a television show that was produced across the pond and shown on CBS-TV in the late 1960s, and I urge you to find The Prisoner on DVD, maybe from a library, and watch it, and you should show it--all the episodes--to teenagers, or buy it as a present for teenagers.
Stay well!
Vic
P.S. #1: The telephone number of the U.S. Congressional Switchboard is: 1-202-224-3121. (Use it to fight against the creation of a national-health-care system, especially a system pushed through law by a defective thinker, a man who has created nothing, and a man whose history is mostly filled with tearing things down, a man who continually puts down the U.S.A.--Barack Obama. By the way, one of the more recent events in which he put down the entire business community of the country took place on Wednesday May 13, 2009, and you should see the second entry for Wednesday, May 13, 2009, in the document entitled Nonsense Statements and Quotations of Barack Obama).
P.S. #2: Do not forget that, since late 2008, I have put within editions of Michigan Travel Tips information about "green technology," "global warming" stuff, and "climate change" stuff, and to get to the catalog for all the Michigan Travel Tips publications, use this link: Travel.
