I open this edition of T.H.A.T. by presenting a collage of thoughts. Recently, I have been watching shows from the 1960s, such as Lost in Space, on WADL-HD, Channel 38.1, Detroit, and shows on the Retro Television Network, instead of shows on prime-time network television. I watched Charlie Rose interview four persons who are pro-manmade-global-warming persons on Charlie Rose on December 18, 2009, and while I watched, I noticed how odd the people were, especially Eileen Claussen, and I say that, in essence, their defective personalities showed up on the screen (to see some of the interview, you should see my document entitled "CAP AND TRADE" and Carbon Dioxide Facts and Nonsense, which can be reached by using this link: Carbon). In the end, you cannot really hide what you are to the television camera, and they did not. I got sample credits for a Better Off Ted, the weekly series on ABC-TV, on Tuesday, December 22, 2009, and, boy, the characters are all unlikable (you should watch the series with the sound turned down so that you can study the facial expressions). On Wednesday, December 23, 2009, I was sort of surfing the Internet to see if I could come up with the name of a series that I saw in the very late 1950s or very early 1960s when I was visiting grandparents in St. Joseph, Michigan (I lived in Inkster, Michigan at the time), and the series never aired in the Detroit area, but it did in the St. Joseph area, because it was broadcast on a Chicago, Illinois, television station), and all I remember is the series was a serial, and some children sort of went back in time or got trapped in caves with dinosaurs, and the series was filmed and in black and white, and it was shown on weekdays as part of another series, maybe The Mickey Mouse Club. I got side tracked while searching for that old serial, because I ran across clips of old shows, such as Beany & Cecil, Q.T. Hush, and The Rootie Kazootie Club, and I saw parts of two episodes of a serial-type children's show called Diver Dan, which was shown in syndication in the early 1960s, either as parts of locally produced shows or as half-hour blocks (depending on the station involved).
Let me talk a bit about Diver Dan (which Mark R. Levin might remember, since I get the impression that Mark R. Levin, who is a very smart man today, was a television fan when he was younger--in the days when television was better than it is today). In essence, Diver Dan was made up of seven-minute filmed episodes, and the series involved two people (Diver Dan and Miss Minerva) and marionettes, most of which were fish. Basically, the set was an underwater set (a studio made to look like the bottom of the sea), and Diver Dan would come down into scenes in a diving suit. At times, real fish could be seen swimming about, because it looks as if the producers put a fish tank between the camera and the set at times. So, Diver Dan was the main character, who in the first episode, went down to the bottom of the sea and heard voices--he ended up meeting talking fish and other new friends. Miss Minerva became a new friend, and she was a mermaid (with long blonde hair). Some of the fish friends and other friends (marionettes) were Finney Haddock, Doc Sturgeon, Goldie the Goldfish, Sea Biscuit the Seahorse, Skipper Kipper, and Gabby the Clam. The two bad fish were Baron Barracuda and his sidekick, Trigger Fish. It was a fun show for little children, and, "for the record," I pass along some credits: Frank Freda played Diver Dan; Suzanne Turner (truly a pretty and likable gal) played Miss Minerva; three puppeteers were Martin Kreiner, Harold Taylor, and John Caracciolo; the executive producer was Louis W. Kellman; the producer was Hal Tunis; and the series was created by J. Anthony Ferlaine. The series came from A Brian Cartoon Production in association with Young Productions, Inc., and it was distribution by ITC.
If I had to choose between letting a child see Sesame Street, which is politically based liberal show, or Diver Dan, I would let the child see Diver Dan, which seems to be available on DVD.
Oh, I can make the argument that Mark R. Levin became a smart man because he watched television as a child when television was in the good age and the likable age, instead of television of in this unlikable age.Advertisement: In March 2009, a book called Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, which had been written by Mark R. Levin, was published. Through the book, Mark R. Levin talks about how tyranny has been creeping into the country, and he also talks about how the country has been changing from a representative republic, which has a constitution as a basis, to something, yet to be defined, and although Mark R. Levin says that it is the statist who is causing the change, especially those who are a part of the Democratic Party and in government jobs, I say that it is communists, socialists, would-be dictators, and Marxists, such as Barack Obama, who are making the changes, such as by discarding The U.S. Constitution. I urge you to see and read Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, and pass it on to others, especially teenagers and young adults (and consider listening to The Mark Levin Show, the nationally syndicated radio show, on a regular basis).
Oh, let me show you how dangerous the Democratic Party is to the United States of America, since your favorite television newscasters probably will not tell you this (and if they did not tell you, you will now learn more how useless they are to your life). Barack Obama and the Democrats in the U.S. Congress (and at times a few Republicans) have pushed through trillions in spending since January 20, 2009, and now the country is in bad fiscal shape, and I think that the overspending was done purposely to hurt the country. Did you near that, in November 2009, some congressmen, such as U.S. Senator Kent Conrad, were pushing the idea of creating an eighteen-member commission (a board of some type) to help curb spending? Yes, they want to create another government-based entity to stop the people who are supposed to be fiscally responsible (the U.S. Congress and Barack Obama) and be in charge of trying to stop the U.S. Congress and Barack Obama from spending too much. That shows how bad the U.S. Congress is--especially the members wo are attached to the Democratic Party, which has control of the U.S. Congress. (Pianin, Eric. "On Hill, Bipartisan Support Emerging For Commission To Control Health Costs." The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation, 11 November 2009.)
Announcement for the novice again: To get useful television-delivered news or Internet-delivered news, go to Fox News Channel, WorldNetDaily.com, "The Drudge Report," and CNS News (which is on the Internet and which was launched on June 16, 1998), since the entities do not blindly support Barack Obama, as do CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV (to learn about bad journalism, you might tune in to CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV from time to time to see how they differ from the Fox News Channel and those mentioned with it in presenting political stories and events, and you should discover CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV avoid covering things that make Barack Obama look bad or show his true nature, which could harm you). If you are unclear of my intentions, I say in different words that you should boycott CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV and hope they lose more ratings and advertising revenues, since they are expendable, and it is time for you to find the guts to be mean and heartless and cancel them--since they are hurting you.
Here is something your favorite television newscasters probably failed to cover, though it is extremely important to know. On December 16, 2009, an amendment to a health-care bill in the U.S. Senate began to be read by the clerk (or the team of clerks) of the U.S. Senate, and while it was being read, the reading was stopped, which is against the rules of the U.S. Senate, as noted in Riddick's Senate Procedure, p. 43 and 44 ("Dr. Coburn Takes Stand In U.S. Senate." ARRA News Service, 16 December 2009). The Democratic Party showed that it will violate rules to push through a health-care bill. Then, another incident took place that showed how dangerous the Democratic Party is. On December 21, 2009, U.S. Senator Jim DeMint (a Republican related to South Carolina) made a speech on the floor of the U.S. Senate that noted that the Democratic Party put language in the health-care bill that was about to be voted on that noted that features of the bill could not be repealed in the future, an idea that has never been allowed to be put in any legislation before, and that is a sign of the garbage minds of the Democratic Party. (You are urged to see my document entitled Reasons That the Democratic Party is a Dangerous and Corrupt Entity That Must be Crushed and Destroyed, which can be reached by using this link: Democratic Party.)
Let me make this clear: If any U.S. Congress were able to make a law that could block any future U.S. Congress from changing any law, especially a bad law, you would have a bad country in which to live, and if a U.S. Congress were to set the precedent that noted that they could make laws that could never be removed, you would have a dictatorial society and a dead country, and the U.S. Congress could make law after law after law that could never be removed--and you would have tyranny in the highest form. And you now have more knowledge about the dangerous and defective mind of Barack Obama.
Warning: It seems very likely you have not heard much about the United Nations climate-change treaty that many politicians, such as Barack Obama, are hoping to create, because the main media, such as NBC-TV, care not if the United States of America becomes just another country governed under a proposed international main communist country and if The U.S. Constitution and rights for you get trumped by international laws, such as Sharia Law and communist rules of other countries of the world. Over the next few weeks or months, you are going to learn how deep the evilness is within the main media of the United States of America. If you have little information in your mind about the badness of the proposed treaty, you should see what I have passed along to you from Lord Christopher Monckton in my document entitled World Tyranny: Warnings about the Insane Who are Trying to Create a Communist World Country, and I say that, through it, you will get a better appreciation of your enemy (and to see World Tyranny: Warnings about the Insane Who are Trying to Create a Communist World Country, you can use this link: World). When you have an enemy, you hate the enemy and you shut the enemy down! The war is on, and you do not have to be nice!
This document now presents some information that is presented "for the record." In 1947, Sonny Eliot made his first appearance as a television personality, and on Wednesday, December 16, 2009, Sonny Eliot made another appearance in a television show, which had happened to be a documentary entitled Detroit: Our Greatest Generation. That means that Sonny Eliot has the record for the longest time being on television in Detroit--or the longest time between the first time and the last time, and, generally speaking, the length of time is about 62 years. (Remember: Mostly, Sonny Eliot is known for having been a weathercaster on Channel 4, when it was WWJ-TV and WDIV-TV, and, by the way, Sonny Eliot was first on radio in 1946 and is still on radio.)
Now, I have to talk about Detroit: Our Greatest Generation. The documentary was shown on WDIV-TV, Channel 4, from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2009. The goal of the program was to show reminiscences of soldiers and flyers who were members of the U.S. military during World War II, and one of the flyers was Sonny Eliot.
I watched the entire documentary as it was on WDIV-TV; on Sunday, December 13, 2009, a roughly one-hundred-minute version had been shown before an audience at the Fox Theatre as part of a special event. When the end credits were running for me, I saw that a three-hour version was available for people to see online, and my files now have all the credits for the show listed. Here, "for the record," are some of the credits related to the program: Keith Famie was the executive producer; Toni Wisne Isabina, Steve Sabina, and Bobb Gillette were co-executive producers; Kevin Hewitt was the cinematographer; Ben Logan was the producer; Chris Kassel was the co-creator/writer, Chris Kassel was the photography, Nick Hrycyk was the editor; and Patrick Harwood did sound design.
And now I say, "And now, we have Barack Obama, who threatened U.S. Senator Ben Nelson by saying that the federal government would shut down the U.S. Strategy Command center in Nebraska, if Ben Nelson did not vote for a health-care bill. To shut it down would remove jobs from Nebraska. Such a piece of crap Barack Obama is! If you want to see real men, see Detroit: Our Greatest Generation. Barack Obama is no man, and I should love to tell that to his face."
The Web site at which the documentary exists online is: www.detroitgreatestgeneration.com.Public Service Announcement: If you wish to avoid giving a donation to nonprofit groups that support "manmade global warming" legislation or "manmade climate-change" legislation, such as the very bad American Clean Energy and Security Act (which is also known as the Waxman-Markey Bill), give to something better--particularly the Heritage Foundation and the Landmark Legal Foundation, which are organizations that support The U.S. Constitution and are working to defeat Barack Obama's plans to take over the country. (You should see my document entitled "CAP AND TRADE" and Carbon Dioxide Facts and Nonsense, which can be reached through this link: Carbon.)
Let me remind you of some text that I presented in the previous edition of T.H.A.T.. "My research has convinced me that Barack Obama's wish to switch to a federal-government-run health-care system would be a bad idea, since such systems are failing in such countries as Canada and England (to see the problems with the health-care system in the U.K., you should see the many real newspaper articles and such that are available through liberty-page.com (I talked about the topic more fully in Michigan Travel Tips #60, which can be reached at this link: Travel #60)). To date, I have yet to see a good and long and detailed television program about the health-care system in the U.K. presented on MSNBC, CNN. NBC-TV, CBS-TV, or ABC-TV, which would really show how the government-run health-care system in the U.K. is falling apart and how individuals, especially the elderly, are being treated terribly." (By the way, the health-care system in England was set up in 1948, and the health-care system in Canada was created in 1984, and the system in England is in worse shape than the system in Canada is, because the system in England is older than the system in Canada is--it takes time for badness to show up and develop into very bad.)
Announcement (again): Since national broadcast television networks do a poor job of covering information about many important topics, I will try to take up the work of filling in some of the holes. I urge you to see www.saveourhealthcarenow.com and www.noperformancetax.org, because they have important information about the country. The former has information about the health-care industry in the United States of America, and you should and must see it, and you are urged to sign the petition that exists there, and the latter has information about a proposed tax system related to radio stations and music, and the latter will show you what nonsense that U.S. Representative John Conyers (a Democrat of Michigan) is trying to push on the country.
A television set in the United States of America does not have a Channel One, and a television set in the United States of America never has, but there is something called "Channel One" or "Channel One News"), as there has been since 1989. On Monday, October 19, 2009, I learned through a boy who called into The Mark Levin Show (a nationally syndicated radio show) that Channel One was being used to push Barack Obama and his climate-change junk regularly. Generally speaking, Channel One was created by Whittle Communications as a newscast for schools in 1989, and instrumental in setting up the channel was a man named Christopher Whittle, and, late in 1994, the channel became the property of K-III Communications (which became known as Primedia, Inc., in 1997), and, in early 2007, the channel became the property of Alloy Media and Marketing, and, in mid-2007, NBC News became a supplier of programming for Channel One, and, in late 2009, CBS News became a supplier of programming for Channel One. Find out what our children are seeing on Channel One, if it is available at the school to which your children go, because it may be bad--it may be pushing the idea that Barack Obama is good and Barack Obama's policies are good, and that is crap.
Public Service Announcement: Rules for Radicals, which is a book put together by Saul Alinsky (a communist) about 35 years ago, is a book that Barack Obama is very familiar with and follows, and if you wonder what you can do in relation to Barack Obama to beat him, I say, "Well, see my document entitled Rules of a Radical Destroyer: The Barack Obama Case, which can be reached though this link: Radical.
As I show in a number of documents, Barack Obama is a defective man and dangerous to the country, and, here, I note yet another event that shows his defectiveness and dangerousness, and what I note was probably not reported on your favorite television newscast (by the way, the Detroit Free Press, which is a highly liberal newspaper, did not cover the event). In 1923, the International Criminal Police Commission was created, and, in 1956, it became known as the International Criminal Police Organization or Interpol, and, today, it is an organization involving 188 countries, and, in essence, it is an organization that is designed as a entity at which police from around the world can cooperate on compiling information about persons and can exchange information about persons, such as wanted or known criminals. On July 1, 2002, International Criminal Court (based in The Hague, Neatherlands) was created through international treaty, and the main purpose of the entity is to prosecute individuals for what are deemed as crimes against humanity or war crimes, and the United States of America is not a member of the court system. On December 16, 2009, Barack Obama made a change to an existing Executive Order (12425), an Executive Order that had been made by U.S. President Ronald Reagan on June 16,1983. The order involves Interpol (or the International Criminal Police Organization), and, for one, the order exempts Interpol from Freedom of Information Act rules, such as about releasing documents that are wanted for some reason, and it means Interpol has a freedom that real U.S. law enforcement entities do not have--full immunity in the country--and that is not good, since, for one, courts in the U.S. will not be able to obtain or seize any documents related to court cases from Interpol or Interpol can refuse to give up evidence that could pertain to court cases (and also, incidentally, Interpol is exempt from U.S. taxes). I report here that, since January 20, 2009, I have been exposed to information that hints that the Barack Obama administration and Democratic Party-associated organizations (such as Democrats.com) are pushing to have former U.S. President George W. Bush and former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney tried on war crimes (because of, for one, the war in Iraq). ("International Criminal Court." Wikipedia.com, 30 December 2009.; "Interpol." Wikipedia.com, 29 December 2009.; Unruh, Bob. "Obama gives foreign cops new police powers in U.S." WorldNewDaily, 28 December 2009, 8:57 p.m. Eastern.)
Note: You should see my document entitled Justice for All?: The Rules are Changing Under Barack Obama, which has more information about Executive Order Number 12425 and can be reached by using this link: Justice.)At the Web site for The Hologlobe Press, you will find documents that show things that many persons in the main media would never show you--and that is what Barack Obama is. One such document is Sharia Law, Sharia-Compliant Finance, Radical Islam, and Barack Obama, which talks about how business ways tied to Sharia Law can hurt the United States of America, and at the end of that document, I show a tie in between Barack Obama and radicals who want a big portion of the southwestern region of the United States of America to secede from the United States of America, and those people can be considered Latino-based radicals, some of whom are or have been members of the National Council of La Raza (or the Council of "The Race"). Here, I report about the same type of information as that reported in Sharia Law, Sharia-Compliant Finance, Radical Islam, and Barack Obama. In 2009, Barack Obama was able to get a woman closely tied with the National Council of La Raza appointed to a judgeship of the U.S. Supreme Court, and the woman is Sonia Sotomayor, and, on December 9, 2009, Barack Obama nominated a former board member of the National Council of La Raza to become the ambassador to the Republic of El Salvador, and that woman is Mari Del Carmen Aponte. I bet your favorite television newscast did not note that information for you.
A reminder (updated): Remember to tell your children and grandchildren that they should never pledge to be a "servant to Obama" or a servant to any president, which was a topic in T.H.A.T. #58, and remember to tell them to not blindly "believe" in leaders, and that is a lesson in this edition of T.H.A.T., as it was in the past and will be in the future. By the way, remember, in the "Presidential Video," which is one topic of T.H.A.T. #58, one male says, "I pledge to be of service to Barack Obama."; one female says, "I pledge to be a servant to our president." And make sure your children and grandchildren are not singing songs at school that praise Barack Obama, which has been done by children at some schools around the country since January 2009, since children should never sing songs that praise any a politician, especially a megalomaniac and narcissist like Barack Obama.
In the previous edition of T.H.A.T., I talked about an episode of On the Point with Rev. Wendell Anthony that was shown on WADL-TV, Channel 38.1, on Saturday, November 21, 2009, and I noted that I was going to talk about other shows on WADL-TV in this edition of T.H.A.T., and here is the discussion, and I can say that On the Point with Rev. Wendell Anthony was a bad show for many reasons and I can say that most of the other shows were not bad shows, though they were locally produced. At 7:00 p.m., on Friday, November 20, 2009, I finally was able to catch an episode of I Luv 2 Hustle, which is another dance show of sorts. It features "hustle" type dancing and "line dancing," and there was even a dance-step demonstration, which was done at a club called Mr. Smooth Cafe. The host was DJ Maestro (a guy), and the co-hosts were Boneus (a guy) and Nina Ross. DJ Maestro is a very likable guy, coming off as a regular guy and not a street thug, but one problem that I noticed with him is, at the beginning of the show, he tried to act sort of like a street DJ who is supposed to be rough, but the action came off as forced and faked. I say that he should be himself, especially since the show looked like a family show. The show was made up of a host segment, a dance segment (done at a club), a host segment, and dance segment, et cetera. In the dance segments, the dancers ranged from children to older adults, all of whom seemed to be having a good time, especially with the fun DJ Maestro video called "Turbo Time." The host segments were flat, since each segment was a stagnant one-camera production, and the hosts lacked material to say, and they repeated some material too much. Yet, I can say that I Luv 2 Hustle was a likable very low-budget show, and I have to say that the cast needs more preparation, which involves digging up more to say during the host segments. And I do urge Boneus to get rid of the dark glasses--let the gals in the audience see the eyes, Boneus. "For the record," I note that I Luv 2 Hustle had Sam Anderson and Keith Butts as the executive producers, DJ Maestro as the producer, and Bill Soule as the director, and the host at Mr. Smooth Cafe was O.T. (who was listed in the credits as a production assistant). I Luv to Hustle airs at 3:30 p.m. Saturdays (the show moved to the time slot on January 2, 2010). On November 21, 2009, I caught an episode of IRA: Independent Retailers' Association, which was hosted by a gal (and I add that the gal was a cutie), and I can only call her Ms. Harris, since the show did not show the correct spelling of her name (which sounded like Drina Harris), and since an email sent to the station resulted in no response. Ms. Harris basically introduced several segments, each of which was a visit to a Detroit-area business and each of which was hosted by the owner. The episode covered two businesses based in Detroit--Simply Casual and Silver Fox Furs--and one business in Southfield--Fashion International. Generally, the owners of the stores were pleasant and presented their merchandise well. I believe the segment of Silver Fox Furs was hosted by Richard Welch, but I had to be away from the television set when the man was introduced, so I will say that the man who hosted the segment did a fine job, and young men in Detroit who want to see how to handle the self as a businessman should study this man. He was dressed well and seemed knowledgeable. This show was shown at 11:00 a.m. (I do wish the packagers of the show would give at least a few credits, such as the name of the host in text on the screen.) Another show that I caught on November 21, 2009, was an episode of Dance Party (basically, I first talked about this series when it was called D Party: The Ultimate Dance Show in T.H.A.T. #44, which can be reached by using this link: T.H.A.T. #44). Dance Party was and is a half-hour dance show, featuring, mostly, hip-hop music, and the episode that I saw was hosted by DJ Steady Rock (a guy) and Ina (who should be told by the producers to stand tall and not slouch). (By the way, in November 2008, when I did my last sampling of credits, the hosts for Dance Party were DJ. Steady Rock, Big Dogg Blast (a guy), and Deelishis (a gal).) This Dance Party episode was not as good as the early episodes of D Party: The Ultimate Dance Show had been, since there was no dance-instruction segment, as there had been with the first episodes, so the episode was nothing more than teens dancing to tunes, most of which would never have made it on to CKLW-AM in the late 1960s and early 1970s, when Motown guys and gals got their good material on the station, and that is because most of the tunes on the episode were tinny and sort of boring. Okay, tune in to see Ina (if she stands tall). I will note that the erotic-dancer award for the episode of Dance Party that I caught would go to the gal with red hair. The episode of Dance Party was shown at 7:30 p.m., and, actually, Dance Party is shown on weeknights at 7:30 p.m. and shown on Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. (and, by the way, on Saturday, January 9, 2010, Ina was in a cotton dress, and that was good, and I do hope Ina's long hair was her hair and not her hair with extensions, and if it was her hair, I say, "Do not cut it! Do not cut it!"). At 8:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 21, 2009, I discovered that Channel 38.1 runs a movie--usually for two hours--that the movie show is now hosted by someone, and the host is Joelle Lukasiewicz, who, back in around 2005, was the host for a series called Pet News U Can Use on the station.
On Thursday, December 10, 2009, James Hansen, who has been associated with NASA, appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman, which is a program that is shown on weeknight late-evenings on CBS-TV, and the interview between James Hansen and David Letterman gave audiences some interesting facts about people, some of which I now show by giving you a portion of the interview in text form:
David Letterman: "Our next guest is, ah, one of the world's leading climatologists often referred to as the 'grandfather of global warming,' and this is his new book Storms of My Grandchildren: The Truth About the Coming Climate Catastrophy and Our Last Chance to Save Humanity. Happy holidays!" There was laughter from the audience. "Please welcome, Dr. James Hansen." David Letterman waited for James Hansen to arrive and sit down. "Welcome to the show."
James Hansen: "Glad to be here."
David Letterman: "I, ah, ah, I, I hope this isn't one of those deals where I end up doing all of the talking, because I get so worked up about this, and, and I have so little actual knowledge, but I, I, I just like talking about this topic, so I'm gonna, I'm gonna try and let you talk a little bit. Okay?"
James Hansen: "I hear that you actually know quite a lot about it."
David Letterman: "Oh, Oh, I don't know a lot about it, but I, I, I, I, my viewpoint is that were doomed! Your viewpoint is, is that we're nearly doomed."
James Hansen: "Nearly doomed."
The interview continued on, but the remainder will not be presented here (a portion exists in my document entitled "CAP AND TRADE" and Carbon Dioxide Facts and Nonsense, which can be reached by using this Carbon link). Here, a person can see David Letterman is an idiot and dangerous, since he is pushing the idea of manmade global warming, though he shows that he knows little about it--but David Letterman does believe the planet is "doomed." Now, in this episode of the show, David Letterman presented only one side of the manmade-global-warming issue. However, James Hansen and David Letterman did talk about the emails related to the Climatic Research Unit of the University of East Anglia and "Climate-gate," but they both discounted the emails as useless, saying, in essence, given how much evidence there is about manmade global warming. They presented no information to disprove the emails (which really do show that manmade-climate-change is a sham or a hoax). Such garbage David Letterman is, but David Letterman has shown himself to be a socialist or worse by supporting Barack Obama, who is a communist and worse than a communist, and Barack Obama is pushing the dangerous cap-and-trade legislation on the country.Well, I must report that I was able to catch a report about climate change on PBS NewsHour on December 24, 2009, and knowing what I know about reporting (gained over several decades) and knowing that climate change is a lie, I have to say that PBS NewsHour has fully reached the communist level of reporting or the Marxist level of reporting. It was a truly rotten report, and it was a fear mongering report, noting how, for example, because of the rise in temperature, more people are going to end up at the hospital with asthma--there will be more pollen--and because of the heat, poor people who cut sugar cane will not be able to work as hard, and, yes, the developed world will have to deal with sewage-overflow events. Here are some segments from the report:
At one point, the reporter (Ray Suarez, who is also known as Rafael Suarez, Jr.) said: "But most climate scientists say, 'We're still in the early stages of global climate change, and, for now, the most severe effects of rising sea levels or too little rain followed by too much is among the developing world's major concerns. For example, a storm in Bangladesh can drive millions of gallons of sea water inland, fouling water supplies and threatening farm land." [What does a particular storm have to do with climate change? Storms and big storms have happened for ages. Because the reporter talked about a storm does not prove manmade global warming or manmade global climate change. Cause and effect was not proved or even talked about.]
At one point, Kristie Ebi who had written material for the IPCC of the United Nations was shown saying this: "There was a recent workshop in Bangladesh. As part of that, there were field trips out to rural areas of Bangladesh where they're having salt-water intrusion, which is affecting the rice crops, and voluntarily, a farmer--an illiterate farmer--said, 'Climate change has a taste. It's tastes like salt.'" [Just because there is salt-water intrusion is no evidence of global climate change. And, certainly, an illiterate farmer is no expert in climate change, especially one who is unaware of the rest of the world and what goes on. And the farmer surely cannot prove the idea of global climate change.]
At another point, the reporter said: "In developing nations, the increase in temperatures could affect the ability to be economically productive. As the world's poorest people try to work themselves out of poverty, the climates they live in are making it harder to work hard." [And why are the people poor? One reason is they live in countries with dictators, tribal rulers, communist rulers, et cetera, who have worked to suppress the people and keep the people poor.]
Here was a comment from Dr. Tord Kjellstrom (of Australia's National Centre for Population Health): "And, ah, as the only way to protect your body from overheating and getting heat stroke, which may even kill you, is to actually slow down work. It means that you are less efficient in the work you do and you, ah, ah, get less income, if you are an agricultural worker that is cutting sugar cane in Nicaragua, for instance, then you will produce less sugar per day, if it's very hot, and you get paid less." [This had nothing to do with proving the idea of manmade climate change or manmade global warming. By the way, the man did not have an accent of an Australian. Where did he come from? Did he go to Australian to push an agenda and a lie--manmade global warming?]
At another point, Dr. Richard Weber, an allergist at National Jewish Health, said in a clip: "For the past several years, there have been reports coming out that the increase in CO2 means that the ragweed plants grow more vigorously. They have more above-ground biomass, which, in English, means they're bigger. Okay? They start pollinating sooner, so they flower earlier and they produce more pollen. So there's an increase in the amount of pollen that's being released into the air." [I say, "Ugh!"]
The previous paragraph was followed by this statement by the reporter: "It doesn't end there. Dr. Weber said explosive growth in grass pollens after heavy rains will flood the world's emergency rooms with asthma patients. Higher seas and higher humidity will bring more illness from mold spores."
The final statement from the reporter was: "The question is, now that the Copenhagen conference has pushed deadlines further into the future, will that message resonate with world leaders and change behavior fast enough to prevent what may be devastating health effects from global warming?"
This report was not reporting, this was a one-sided report from pro-manmade-global-warming people, such as two interviewees associated with the IPCC (which is involved in "Climate-gate"). It was propaganda of the highest degree, right down to the final shot of a smoke-stack-like structure. The story was a collection of feelings and suppositions and guesses and predictions.Incidentally, it was on December 7, 2009, when PBS NewsHour appeared as a replacement for The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer.
Here is a "for the record" section about WHPR-TV, Channel 33 (analog). It was on December 30, 2009, I discovered that WHPR-TV is now running a wrestling series on Saturdays at roughly 8:00 p.m. and Mondays at roughly 9:00 p.m. It is entitled The Original AWWL Big Time Wrestling. Since December 20, 2009, I have learned the show was first shown on Saturday, November 28, 2009; the program had been taped at WHPR-TV on November 14, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. The series is made up of new material and old material--the old material is made up of bouts recorded at some time in the past featuring such wrestlers as Dick the Bruiser, The Sheik, and Bobo Brazil (but the material, based on one show seen, may not come from the original Big Time Wrestling series of over thirty years ago). Each episode runs about one hour. Some of the wrestlers who might show up--based on what I saw at a Web site for the show--are Sabu, Mr. Hughes, Dick the Bruiser Jr,, and Bobo Brazil Jr.
Was it not great to see Barack Obama on 60 Minutes (on CBS-TV) and a program entitled Christmas at the White House: An Oprah Primtime Special (on ABC-TV) on Sunday, December 13, 2009? I say in jest--I am sure you learned a lot, such as about the proposed Consumer Financial Protection Agency, which, for one, will have the power to break up companies at any time, if the entity should be created by the federal government through the Consumer Financial Protection Agency Act bill. Oh, the interviews did not talk about the Consumer Financial Protection Agency, and that is because, if the entity were created, the country would have a communist-type entity that could determine what business could or could not exist in the country. The interview of Barack Obama on 60 Minutes was done by Steve Kroft, and here is a portion of that interview:
Barack Obama: "I did not run for office ta be helpin' out a bunch of, you know, fat-cat bankers on Wall Street. The only ones that are going to be paying out these fat bonuses, ah, are the ones that have now paid back that TARP money and already....
They talked over each other.
Steve Kroft: "That's why they paid it back so quickly?"
Barack Obama: "The people on Wall Street still don't get it! They don't get it! If they're still puzzled, why is it people are mad at the banks? Well, let's see. You know, you guys, are drawin' down ten, twenty-million dollar bonuses after America went through the worst economic year that it's gone through in, in decades. And you guys caused the problem! And we got ten-percent unemployment. Why do you think people might be a little frustrated?"
The final sentence of Barack Obama's was said loudly, and it showed Barack Obama was not pleased. It must be stated here that the banks did not cause the economic crisis of around 2008!. Barack Obama is pushing a lie! Yes, Wall Street was involved in the crisis, which, in the sequence of events, got started by the federal government's policies related to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and, to learn more, you are urged to see my document entitled THOUGHTS AND PIECES OF LOGIC for the individual woman and the individual man, which can be reached by using this link at the end of this document). On Sunday, January 3, 2010, I watched two local (Detroit) politically themed talk shows--Flash Point (hosted with Devon Scillan and shown on WDIV-HD, Channel 4.1) and Spotlight on the News (hosted on by Chuck Stokes and shown on WXYZ-HD, Channel 7.1). In the last year, Barack Obama has been instrumental in the sale of some parts of U.S. auto makers to entities in foreign countries (such as China and Italy), and Barack Obama has given Interpol immunity status in the country (and it cannot be forced to give up document through the Freedom of Information Act any longer), and Barack Obama is trying to push through cap-and-trade rules in the country and is working to put the U.S. under a U.N. climate-change treaty that would make The U.S. Constitution subservient to the treaty, and Barack Obama has many close associates (such as "czars") who are tax cheats, sexual deviants, or thieves. Barack Obama has done a lot of damage--purposely, as I see it--to the United States of America, and yet the three guests on Spotlight on the News gave Barack Obama no less than a "B-" for a grade (by the way, Warren Pierce of WJR-AM gave the worst grade, but that still shows how bad Warren Pierce is). I say that Barack Obama has earned an "E" and is dangerous to the country as it was founded. On Flash Point, one topic noted how the country is so partisan now, but no one--even Nolan Finley (a political writer for The Detroit News)--noted how the country is so partisan because Barack Obama is a communist/socialist/Marxist and is doing things that are against what this country has been about since the founding, causing people to be really angry, and, by the way, one of the useless Democrats on the show was Debbie Dingell (the wife of U.S. Representative John Dingell, who is associated with Michigan and has been trying for decades to put the country on a national health-care system). (You are urged to see my document entitled THE CRUD AROUND BARACK OBAMA: My Rule--"Like Minds Get Together", which can be reached by using this Crud link, and you are urged to see my document entitled Never Forget These Media "Darlings" ?: A Guide for the Individual in the United States of America, which can be reached by using this Media link.)
Here is some "for-the-record" news about two news events. On Monday, January 4, 2010, ABC-TV began to run World News with Diane Sawyer on weekday evenings, and the first story presented happened to be about the bitter cold affecting the North American continent, and the story was reported on by Sam Champion (it is too bad the report was not done by Kate Snow, who was one of the several other reporters seen on the first show), and, on Tuesday, January 5, 2010, the weeknight evening news show entitled WorldFocus, which is hosted by Daljit Dhaliwal and made available to PBS-associated stations, did a report about the cold weather--sometimes unusually cold weather--around the globe, such as in Beijing, China. I bet the manmade-global-warming proponents must have been irked by these stories presented by the two liberal-slanted or highly liberal-slanted newscasts, since they helped to blow away more of the myth and hoax about manmade climate change being played on the world.
A day or so before, I published this edition of T.H.A.T., people were hearing the news that NBC-TV was going to try to fix programming problems--bad ratings at 10:00 p.m. on weekdays (from The Jay Leno Show) and bad ratings at 11:35 p.m. on weekdays (from The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien), and I was not surprised by the news. Let's go back to T.H.A.T. #58--In this document, I give the big reason why Conan O'Brien was going to fail (to see T.H.A.T. #58, you may use this link: T.H.A.T. #58). Let's go back to T.H.A.T. #66--In this document, I talk about Jay Leno's show, and it shows why Jay Leno was going to fail (to see T.H.A.T. #66, you may use this link: T.H.A.T. #66). Now, NBC-TV is going to push Jay Leno back to 11:35 p.m. and push Conan O'Brien farther back in time, but NBC-TV still has an unlikable Conan O'Brien and now a somewhat unlikable Jay Leno, and NBC-TV has a 10:00 p.m. weekday block that now gives a bad feel in the minds of viewers, and it exists on a network that has a bad feel (given the types of news operations it runs and the types of entertainment shows that are broadcast, such as the highly left-wing politically themed Law and Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit). So, what is NBC-TV going to do? We shall see, and I will evaluate the result when it shows up. I do expect more trouble for NBC-TV, because the impression that I have is the programming executives at NBC-TV are not smart or likable, given that what they put on the air does show what is in their heads. I expect more reality shows and more NBC Dateline-type stuff. Ugh!
On Saturday, January 9, 2010, in the morning, I watched an episode of the old-time series entitled The Cisco Kid on the Retro Television Network, and I got to see Bill Kennedy playing "Red Kelly," a crook; from the 1950s to the 1980s, Bill Kennedy would host movie shows for Detroit-area television viewers. The episode had a copyright date of 1950 (or MCML), and the guest cast had Phyllis Coates (who would go on to play, for a short while, Lois Lane on Adventures of Superman, which would feature George Reeves as Superman/Clark Kent), Michael Tagan, Tom Tyler, and David Bruce. I noticed the director of photography for the episode was Kenneth Peach, whose son, Ken Peach, Jr., would be involved in television production in the years to come.
Oh, on Saturday, January 9, 2010, at about 12:15 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, ABC-TV ran a promotional announcement for "Pledge for Change," which was aimed a children (during a children's programming block) and which featured Disney-related stars (children), and it was pushing the idea of saving the planet from manmade climate change, and it was really nothing more than indoctrination of children by Disney and ABC-TV, and maybe you should have your children avoid the Saturday-morning programming block on ABC-TV, and, certainly, you should explain to children why the promotional announcement was bad and evil, given that manmade climate change is a hoax and is being perpetuated by communists and other defective persons, who are working to hurt the United States of America and willing to lie to children to accomplish their goal.
The Prisoner with Patrick McGoohan was a television show of the late 1960s, and it was likable show of the 1960s (remember, Diver Dan was a likable show of the 1960s, too), and again I urge you to find The Prisoner on DVD, maybe from a library, and watch it, and you should show it--all the episodes--to teenagers, or buy it as a present for teenagers (I have not seen the 2009 The Prisoner series, and so I cannot recommend it yet, if ever).
Stay well!
Vic
P.S. #1: The telephone number of the U.S. Congressional Switchboard is: 1-202-224-3121. (Use it to fight against the creation of a national-health-care system, especially a system pushed through law by a defective thinker, a man who has created nothing, and a man whose history is mostly filled with tearing things down, a man who continually puts down the U.S.A.--Barack Obama. By the way, one of the more recent events in which he put down the entire business community of the country took place on Wednesday May 13, 2009, and you should see the second entry for Wednesday, May 13, 2009, in the document entitled Nonsense Statements and Quotations of Barack Obama).
