    I open this little document about television with some little notes. Between 1949 and the early 2000s, people could learn about some of the happenings in radio and television by seeing the Detroit newspapers, and now little about local television or radio gets reported, so in the future, people will not be able to look back at old editions of Detroit newspapers and see what was happenings, as I can do today in relation to television and radio in the 1940s and 1950s, for example. I just happened to tune into The Nine (of WJBK-TV, Channel 2.1) on November 8, 2024, and I learned, for example, WNIC-FM (100.3) is now in a new building in downtown Detroit, and the station fired up the yearly presentation of Christmas music for every day for the next number of weeks. Then, the hosts of The Nine for the day (Lee Thomas, Deena Centofanti, and Ryan Ermanni) went on to other matters, and Lee Thomas guided the conversation to a product (show) on Netflix called Investigation Alien, which seems to be something that will help show aliens are among us, and I say that the idea that aliens are around you on Earth is crap, and Deena Centofanti (a shallow thinker, as I have shown before) noted how aliens seem to be around messing with people and animals on Earth. It was all crap! No aliens are going to mess with people and animals after having traveled countless miles through the universe. It is all stupid, like the stupid stuff that ws being pushed out in the late 1950s and early 1960s when I was a boy, in which people worked to sell the idea (with jackass photographs) that alien spaceships were flying around us. And no one in the last 70 years has shown any real proof that aliens are around or here. Save your money and skip Investigation Alien. Another point for this introduction is about Katie Couric, who has been a so-called journalist on television for a number of decades, such as with NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV, and when she was younger she was a cheerleader (and I can still see in my mind an image of her as a cheerleader that was taken some 45 years ago). Now, Katie Couric is a cheerleader for communism and socialism and progressivism (bad forms of government), as she has been for decades. On November 7, 2024, I got exposed to a video--"Why Donald Trump is a Fascist, and What That Means"--on YouTube from Katie Couric. In essence, a "fascist" is a dictator, and when Donald Trump was in the Oval Office, he never acted as a dictator, as history shows, but while Joseph Biden has been in the Oval Office, Joseph Biden has acted like a dictator and violated The United States Constitution, and, yet, Katie Couric is working to sell in her video the idea that Donald Trump will act like a "fascist" while he is the U.S. President, starting in January 2025. If you see Katie Couric--once a pretty little cheerleader--understand she is now an ugly person who sells propaganda as news.
    I wonder how many people are "hot" for the new broadcast network television season related to prime-time. The number could be really high, since at least half the people in the country are stupid or rotten, and proof of my statement comes in the election results of November 5, 2024. Since there are so many television networks or television channels, there is a lot of competition, and a winning program no longer has to get anywhere near the percentage of viewers (at a given moment) that a television series did in, for instance, the 1950s or 1960s. There are enough rotten people in the country to make what would have been deemed a bomb years ago and thrown off the air a hit today. Even ugly series can become hits today. So the new broadcast television season is on the air, and I was not excited about the season coming, and I am not pleased about what it is today. Generally speaking, the 2024-2025 broadcast network television season is depressing and boring at the very least, as was last season, and, for instance, it is mostly filled with the same type of often dark one-hour dramas, such as police things, fire things, and medical things. Oh, and there is nothing for children! In the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, there were programs on prime-time network television for children. Hey, Abbott Elementary has children in the cast! However, it is not a program for children. In fact, it is not for good people. Abbott Elementary, as I have noted in the past, is an "ugly" show--a highly "ugly" program. It is not funny, and it is a program that is aimed at black inner-city garbage people. All the performers are ugly and unpleasant looking--whites and blacks and whatever. To make it clear, I state that Abbott Elementary is as it always has been. Another really "ugly" series on television is Found. That program has Shanola Hampton as the main performer, and she always looks like an angry black bitch, and I say that Shanola Hampton is not pleasant, and I have yet to see pleasantness on her face--on screen and off. On October 8, 2024, Accused showed up on Fox TV for a new season, and TV Guide had it listed for 8:00 p.m., but it did not show up till 9:00 p.m.. The first episode of Accused was a highly depressing--especially the opening and the ending (leaving a viewer feeling crappy in the end). The main performer was Felicity Huffman--who really has not aged well and is ugly today--and another performer in the production was William H. Macy. Accused show not have even shown up at 9:00 p.m.. On October 9, 2024, when ABC-TV was done airing the first episode for the season of Abbott Elementary, ABC-TV came on with about a one minute special news report featuring David Muir and Ginger Zee (a weather personality), and the topic was a hurricane--Milton, which had officially arrived at Florida. What was presented by David Muir and Ginger Zee was fluff, given, in essence, network news series and television stations and radio stations all over the country were flooding the airwaves with information about Milton. By the way, Ginger Zee said nothing newsworthy while she held on to her cap so that it would not blow away--an action shot of excitement (it seems). The news segment from ABC-TV was stupid! Then, ABC-TV presented more crap. TV Guide noted that something called Scamanda was going to show up at 10:00 p.m. on October 9, 2024, on ABC-TV, but what showed up was a 20/020 special called Secret Life of Diddy. I have noted recently that the definition of "special" has gone to crap as a rule, and many of the specials should be considered "tabloid" pieces (gutter stuff), and two other "tabloid" pieces of the season have been An Oprah Special -- Elvis, Lisa Marie and Riley and TMZ Investigates--Matthew Perry & the Secret Celebrity Drug Ring. Incidentally, remember I talked about Tough Guy: The Bob Probert Story in the previous edition of T.H.A.T., which was aired by WDIV-TV (the NBC-TV affiliate in Detroit) in September 2024, and the presentation allowed such things as "fuck" and "fucked up" to be heard and seen by viewers--it used to be a "sin" to show and present such words on television years ago. Secret Life of Diddy was something specially made for inner-city gutter blacks, as far as I can determine, and it should not have been aired, given it--at best--should be relegated to cable or Internet places. While I am speaking about inner-city gutter black-types, Snoop Dogg is now a regular on The Voice (for NBC-TV). Fox TV still has the gutter white characters of Krapopolis on the air on Sundays, and also on Sundays, Fox TV now has the ugly cartoon series called Universal Basic Guys with gutter-style white characters and slugs, and the characters of Universal Basic Guys are drawn so that they look ugly. By the way, the crying stuff presented on The Summit and other reality shows is crappy. While I am speaking of crappy, I note that Survivor has a contestant who is a hard-line communist and is working to sell the idea that he is great, though he is shit, and that piece of shit is Jon Lovett. The broadcast television networks are pushing the idea that they have some "geniuses" as main characters. For instance, Matlock--which is a rip-off series of the original Matlock--is supposed to be headed by a genius, who happens to be an ugly white gal. Brilliant Minds has "brilliant" in the title, but the main character--a white guy--comes off as arrogant and a stupid jackass and not "brilliant." And a so-called genius is the featured character on High Potential, which has a white semi-model type, who is often dressed as a slut and who has three kids and who happens to be a single mother and who was janitor--she can do better than the police at solving crimes. On October 25, 2024, ABC-TV had an episode of Lopez vs Lopez for viewers, and the guest star was Rita Moreno, and the show looked stage and flat, especially since the main characters always seemed to be lined up across the screen (as if in a stage play), hitting their marks, so that they could do put down jokes of each other, and there was really no "situation" in the situation comedy (or sitcom). I guess only someone "hot" for crap and gutter stuff likes the 2024-2025 television season, but there will be shows called "hits."
    This paragraph is a supplement to the previous. On Thursday, October 17, 2024, CBS-TV pushed out new episodes of Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage (with Montana Jordan and Emily Osment as the main characters), Ghosts, Matlock, and Elsbeth. In the case of Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, I say that "Georgie" (who is a young guy) came off as girlie guy. Hey, the show was no The George Burns & Gracie Allen Show-type show--with a man (George Burns) and a woman (Gracie Allen). Emily Osment came off a flat and even not nice or pleasant, which had been the way of Gracie Allen for years, and, in fact, Emily Osment even seem continually angry. I finally got to see an episode of Matlock on October 17, 2023. For one, the show lacks the niceness of the original Matlock series, and, for example, Matlock's boss in the new show (a black gal) comes off with a flat personality and no niceness. The series covers all the bases in the main characters it seems--a fat white gal, a black gal, an asian gal, a fat boy, et cetera, making sure to cover all the ethnic types. The new Matlock lacks the fun nature--a tone--that can be found in Elsbeth, and it seems very likely to me that the new Matlock will not get run over and over again in, for example, syndication as the old Matlock does and as Elsbeth probably will in the decades to come.
    The election is over, but I have some notes to pass along, showing rottenness in what some news people of television did to affect the election--particularly in favor of Kamala Harris. I start at WXYZ-TV, Channel 7.1, in Detroit. I happened to spin the tuner, and I ended up on the station during a newscast at about 11:45 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2024, and a reporter named Faraz Javed was doing a story related to Arab-Americans in the Dearborn/Dearborn Heights area of Michigan, and the people were involved in election stuff at some event (the point of which need not be told here), but Faraz Javed (an Arab-American-type guy) asked whether people were concerned that Donald J. Trump had imposed a ban on Muslims trying to enter the United States of America a few years ago. It was a jackass question at the very least, but Faraz Javed seemed to be working to make Donald J. Trump look bad. What happened is--for a very short while--Donald J. Trump (through an executive order) did block entrance in to the U.S. by some people of some countries--Iran (which is at war with Israel now), Iraq, Libra, Syria, Sudan, Somalia, and Yemen. But a good person is well aware that some 49 countries of the world have Muslims as the majority of the population. Donald J. Trump was only focused on a small percentage of Muslims in the world. So Faraz Javed did shit work! Faraz Javed should always be seen as a shit reporter! Here is a short bit. On Sunday, October 27, 2024, at about 11:57 p.m., I had WWJ-TV, Channel 62.1, on the television screen, and a newscast (CBS News Detroit for 11:00 p.m.) was running, and I just happened to catch the end of a national news clip for the newscast in which the reporter pushed out the idea that "A mob of his [Donald J. Trump's] supporters" attacked the Capitol on that famous January 6, 2021, day. However, it must be remembered that, if the people of the mob were really his supporters, they would have been at the location of Donald J. Trump's speech (some twenty-minutes walking time from the Capitol) at the time of the breech of the Capitol, which happened while Donald J. Trump was still giving his speech for the day, which would end with his telling the crowd to go peacefully to the Capitol. Then on Monday, October 28, 2024, I happened to catch the end of an interview on CBS Mornings for the day at about 9:10 a.m., and the guest was a woman named Stephanie Kelton, and the crew of the show and Stephanie Kelton were working to sell the idea that deficits by the federal government are good (their working to see that idea as a way in which to make Kamala Harris and Joseph Biden and the Democrats in the government look good). It was all tied to Stephanie Kelton's new book called The Deficit Myth: Modern Monetary Theory and the Birth of the People's Economy. The title shows off the bullshit that was being sold. The use of "people's economy" is like what communists say regularly, trying to sell the idea that the government is working for the "people." Remember it is the People's Republic of China, and, there, the people are enslaved. I looked on the Internet right after the interview was over (and I saw little of it), and I found what the chapters of the book were, and one was "Their Red Ink is Our Black Ink" (which is to say that government's overspending is good for "the people"). It is all bullshit! When government overspends, the citizens--not really the rulers--are beholden to pay off the debt--in real money some time (such as through more taxes) or in inflation. The CBS Mornings crew (producers and hosts and all) were working to sell communism and socialism as good. Do not watch CBS Mornings and CBS News Detroit (WWJ-TV) and Faraz Javed!
    I have to--once again--point out some television history that is crap on Wikipedia. In 1954, television viewers in the country began to see a syndicated television series, which had been made in England, called Colonel March of Scotland Yard on their television sets--black-and-white television sets only. Okay, maybe one or two persons or so had a color television set, but stations were not yet into broadcasting in color in earnest. The television series had Boris Karloff playing the main character. Wikipedia notes that people began to see the series in the United States of America in September 1954. That is wrong. For instance, WWJ-TV, Channel 4, Detroit, began to run the weekly series on Monday, April 19, 1954, beginning at 10:30 p.m., and on the following week, the series ended up being at 9:30 p.m. regularly (each Monday). The series may have started to run on a television station somewhere in the country before April 19, 1954, but I have not the time nor the resources to check every station of 1954 in the country to find out.
Announcement for the novice again (reworked in March 2019): To get useful television-delivered news or Internet-delivered news, try Breitbart News Network (the history of which goes back to 2007), WorldNetDaily.com, Newsmax TV (which was started up in 2014), CNS News (which is on the Internet and which was launched on June 16, 1998), and One America News Network (a.k.a. OAN), since the entities do not blindly support Barack Obama-type people (communists, socialists, progressives, liberals, and Shariaists), as do CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV (Note: To learn about bad journalism, you might tune in to CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV from time to time to see how they differ from the better places mentioned). I note that the Fox News Channel is evolving into a rotten channel, becoming like those that I have put down in this paragraph. If you are unclear of my intentions, I say in different words that you should boycott CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV and even now much of what is on the Fox News Channel and hope they lose more ratings and advertising revenues, since they are expendable, and it is time for you to find the guts to be mean and heartless and cancel them--since they are hurting you. In 2019, "The Drudge Report" was sold, and it should be treated as suspect for now.   [Note: Everyone in the Democratic Party in the country is rotten, and the Republican Party establishment has shown itself to be socialistic and communistic within the last few years, and only a few of the rotten people tied to the Republican Party are U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell, Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, and Chris Christie.]
    [Note: Here is an example of Chris Christie's rottenness. On Sunday, February 6, 2022, Chris Christie was a guest on This Week with George Stephanopoulos (of ABC-TV), which had Martha Raddatz as the host, and Chris Christie pushed out crap. For example, Chris Christie said--"...And let's face it. Let's call it what it is. January 6 was a riot that was incited by Donald Trump...an effort to intimidate Mike Pence and the Congress into doing exactly what he said in his own words last week--overturn the election. And he's trying to do a cleanup on aisle one here...." and "...He actually told the truth by accident. He wanted the election to be overturned....". That is bullshit!]
    In the middle of this document, I now present a Looking at the Movies segment, and it is really different. Between October 1946 and June 1947, there was one experimental television station for the Detroit area, and there were no commercial television stations yet, and that experimental television station was WWDT, which had one broadcast day in October 1946 and about a month of broadcasting in around March 1947. Between June 1947 and about September 1948, there was one commercial television station, which was WWJ-TV, which had been morphed out of WWDT. Between October 1948 and 1950, there were three commercial television stations--WWJ-TV (Channel 4), WJBK-TV (Channel 2), and WXYZ-TV (Channel 7). By the way, the stations broadcast on the VHF band (or Very High Frequency band). With that in your mind, I can continue on with the real subject of this section. In August 2024, I began to do more extensive research on a television station in the Detroit area called KQ2XBB. That was an experimental television station that was doing stuff on the UHF band (the Ultra High Frequency band) in portions of the period from the middle of 1950 to March 1953, when the license for the station went dead. It was the first television station to broadcast on the UHF band in the Detroit area, and the next would be WTVS-TV, Channel 56, which showed up in 1955 and which still exits today. My research led me to finding a few photographs of the station, such as the studio and the control room, so I have a rough idea of what the television station looked like. But I have no idea of what was broadcast by the station, since there are no TV listings for the station in old newspapers, especially of the Detroit area. It seems something was put out over the air at some time between 1950 and 1953. The station was associated with the Radio Electronic Television School (or Radio Electronic Television Schools), which started out in 1935 and which was located at 3730 Woodward, Detroit, Michigan. That place was an electronic school, and it was in about 1938 when the business really worked to push that idea that television was coming and people could sort of get in at the ground floor of the television business by learning electronics related to television at the school. My research about KQ2XBB included my looking for all the locations for the Radio Electronic Television School (or R.E.T.S.) between 1935 and at least 1960, which was the period of time that I was focusing on. It looks as if the place was called American Tech in 1935 and was located at 4709 Woodward, which was part of a business cluster or building cluster, and I found in 1938 that R.E.T.S. was now at 4707 Woodward, taking over the location from Doty Discount Corporation, which had been involved at the location with, for example, providing auto loans. From roughly 1943 to 1948, R.E.T.S. was located at 2030 West Grand Boulevard, Detroit, Michigan. Meanwhile, roughly, a company called Modern Music Company, which, for one, sold "popular" records or sold records of "popular music," was located at 3730 Woodward, Detroit, Michigan. In 1942, Modern Music Company started up a special service that existed from 1942 to at least 1945 [Note: Keep "1945" in mind.]. In around that time, "jukeboxes" existed, and they were machines that contained records--often about two-dozen records--that people at restaurants and other like businesses could hear songs from by paying a fee. Modern Music Company had a variation on that jukebox theme, and it was called "Music by Choice." The company got "jukebox"-type boxes set up in businesses, but the machines had no records inside. Instead, people used the boxes to contact (by telephone, in essence) a control room at 3730 Woodward--Modern Music Company. Women at the control room then played music when requested (for a fee), and the music was heard over the jukeboxes; in relation to each request, the music was sent down a telephone line from the control room to a particular jukebox. Incidentally, it looks as if a similar system existed around the same time in the Los Angeles area of California, but I have yet to confirm that. Now I have more about "1945" to tell you about. In 1945, a movie called "The Shanghai Cobra" was released to movie theaters around the country. It was a "Charlie Chan"-type movie, and it is a fun movie, and Charlie Chan was played by Sidney Toler, and other performers in the movie were Mantan Moreland and Benson Fong. In the movie, part of the plot involved the "Music by Choice" idea in a way. For example, at a coffee shop, people could request music from a jukebox-type thing, and the music was played by a woman in a control studio somewhere--a blonde gal. The music system in the movie involved television, since the gal in the control room could see the patrons who wanted music played--she had a big screen in front of her. At the control room for Modern Music Company, there were no television screens for the operators to see anything, and in the control room, there were at least a dozen young women who were involved in the process to send out music to customers. Oh, I found ads in the Detroit Free Press of the middle 1940s, through which the company was looking for young gals (not over 140 pounds) to be "operators," and, basically, the starting pay was $25.00 a week. From 1948 to at least 1961, R.E.T.S. was located at 3730 Woodward Avenue, hinting that the music service had become defunct in around 1948 (maybe). R.E.T.S. had satellite locations in the Detroit area in the 1900s, and it had locations in other states of the country and even in Canada. On between 1947 and at least 1961, another electronics school of the Detroit area was Electronics Institute, which was located in the period at 21 Henry Street. In addition, since 1999, the building group related to 4707 Woodward and 4709 Woodward has been the location for the Detroit Artists Market. And the building were KQ2XBB was is now gone, and, in 1950, it was across the street from roughly the Paradise Theater, and, today, Jacob Bernard Pincus Music Education Center, the Max M. and Marjorie S. Fisher Music Center, and Orchestra Hall are sort of across the street from where KQ2XBB or R.E.T.S. used to be. I found that "The Shanghai Cobra" first showed up on television in the Detroit area on Saturday, September 16, 1950, at 10:00 p.m., and it was a presentation of WWJ-TV, Channel 4. That means that--in a way--that movie has been seen on Detroit television for about 75 years or over a period of 75 years already. I can report that I have a video on YouTube that covers the topics discussed in this paragraph, and there are photographs that show KQ2XBB and the control room for Modern Music Company. The video is at the channel called "The Hologlobe Press", and the video is called--Linked--"The Shanghai Cobra", Charlie Chan, KQ2XBB. R.E.T.S., Modern Music Company, "Music by Choice", Jukeboxes, and the Electronics Institute. I cannot recommend that you see "The Shanghai Cobra" as a presentation of Looking at the Movies this time, since I did that in the previous edition of Television History and Trivia. But my video also has information about a movie called Charlie Chan in London, and that is the movie that is featured this time in Looking at the Movies. That movie was first put out in movie theaters in 1934, and it features Warner Oland as Charlie Chan, and it is a fun movie for everyone. Oh, Charlie Chan in London first showed up on Detroit television on WXYZ-TV, Channel 7, on Monday, September 28, 1953, at 11:15 p.m..

    Basically, the main news media in the United States of America, which includes the faces of ABC-TV News, CBS-TV News, and NBC-TV, is populated with rotten people, such as liars and communists and socialists and idiots. A good example of that showed up on Sunday, October 13, 2024, during the broadcast of the weekly political show informally called This Week of ABC-TV. At that specific moment, Martha Raddatz (a ugly looking gal, as she has been for decades) was interviewing J.D. Vance, the man who was running in the Republican Party to be the next vice president of the country. Hey, hold it! In the past, I have not heard of people from foreign countries actually taking control of apartment buildings through force in the United States of America, like that done recently by illegal immigrants from Venezuela in Aurora, Colorado--rotten people who had easily gotten into the country because the Biden-Harris administration's not following the immigration laws that exist. Martha Raddatz pushed out the theme that only a small group of apartments were taken over recently, and Martha Raddatz showed she was more concerned that Donald J. Trump had pushed the idea that it had happened than about the actions by illegal immigrants had happened at all, such as by saying--"...I'm going to stop you [J.D.Vance], because I know exactly what happened. I'm going to stop you. The incidents were limited to a handful of apartment complexes, and the mayor [Mike Coffman] said our dedicated police officers have acted on those concerns. A handful of problems!....". I say that, if the illegal immigrants had not been allowed in the country, the problems would not have occurred to begin with. And J.D. Vance answered Martha Raddatz with--"...Martha, do you hear yourself? Only a handful of apartment complexes in America were taken over by Venezuelan gangs, and Donald Trump is the problem and not Kamala Harris' open border? Americans are so fed up with what's going on, and they have every right to be, and I really find this exchange, Martha, sort of interesting because you seem to be more focused on nitpicking everything that Donald Trump has said rather than acknowledging that apartment complexes in the United States of America are being taken over the violent gangs....". And now the national election is over, and yet Martha Raddatz is still at ABC-TV, despite her having no real concern about Americans' having to deal with shit from other countries, who should not be in the country to begin with. So when you see Martha Raddatz on television, be aware she is an enemy of good people.
    Now, let me jump over the WWJ-TV, Channel 62.1, of the Detroit area, specifically the news department, which is the newest news team of the television stations of the Detroit area. On October 11, 2026, I stumbled on a news-clip video ("Michigan officials push back on Trump's comment about Detroit") on YouTube from the station, and it was focused on what Donald J. Trump had said only hours previously about Detroit and Kamala Harris. Donald J. Trump said--"...The whole country's going to be like--you want to know the truth?--it'll be like Detroit, our whole country will be like Detroit, if she's [Kamala's] your president....". I report that, in recent years, Mayor Mike Duggan and his associates (other Democrats) have been pushing the idea that Detroit is doing well and going great. Yes, there has been development along Woodward Avenue--a lot of paving--and in right down in Detroit, but I have not seen big improvements where I have driven recently, such as in the the Six Mile Road-Liverois area, while passing through Detroit, and I have seen images of Detroit on "gooble" maps recently. Even though the city budget may be balanced--which is one fact that is being used to sell the idea Detroit is getting better probably--so much is not being done in the areas out of downtown, such as in the form of a housing boom and a lot of side-street repair. Oh, changing the lead supply lines to houses is no sign of things are going well--given changing all the lead line stuff is a scam, as I hint at in my video on YouTube about the subject at the channel for "The Hologlobe Press"--using money that could go to more important things, like side streets. In the video from WWJ-TV news, the news anchor was Terrance Friday, and the reporter was Walter Murphy (a freaky-looking guy). The video pushed out the idea from Representative Joe Tate, Governor Gretchen Whitmer (of Michigan), Mayor Mike Duggan, and citizens that Donald J. Trump put down Detroit in his statement. One man--Aaron Buckley--pushed out the useless information that, when the Lions and Tigers games are going on, there are a lot of people downtown. I say that a lot of people going to the Lions and Tigers games, which has happened for decades, is no sign that Detroit is getting better. And Terrance Friday showed is defectiveness as a new anchor--who should be objective--by saying at the end of the report segment as an editorial comment--"...The city definitely has a lot to be proud of.".
    [Note: This section was written on October 14, 2024, when I knew, if Kamala Harris was elected and she also had control of the U.S. Congress, Detroit and other big cities would go into even more of a crappy state, since communism would be pushed more into the cities, and more illegal immigrants would be directed into the cities, like Detroit, designed to make the cities more poor and more dependent on the federal government, making a greater number of modern-day black slaves.]
    [Note: Here is proof that Detroit is in for crap days. On November 3 2024, the Detroit Free Press published an article called "Reparations task force proceeds" [Afana, Dana. "Reparations task force proceeds." Detroit Free Press, 3 November 2024, pp. 4A and 7A.], and it shows the underlying racism and black communism and black socialism within the city, most of the members of whom who voted on November 5, 2024, voted for a communist and a crazy woman--Kamala Harris--for U.S. president. In the article, it is written, for example--"...Detroit's Reparations task force struggled through more than a year of turnover, vacancies and frustrated community members, but officials are now closer to submitting recommendations to address harms of systemic racism on black residents...." and "...What Detroit residents want from the reparations task force...Free lunches to Black students, lowering auto insurance rates, cash payments and reducing taxes for Black Detroit homeowners who were overtaxed by 10% for the last decade also ranked highly....[Vic note: The tax idea is related to a time when the city was mostly black and controlled by blacks.]...." and "...Calloway [Cidney Calloway] added that reparations experts from Evanston, Illinois, and California have weighed in on possible funding solutions. One suggestion is to seek money from corporations doing business with the city....[Vic note: And that is extortion.]...." and "'They were saying that we really need to figure out how to go after a lot of these corporations and banks,' Calloway said. 'We're looking to find a way to go after corporations, institutions that have benefited from slavery, from discrimination, the banking institutes that I'm sure made a massive profit off of the foreclosures and the mortgage burst of 2008....[Vic note: The 2008 banking thing and economic crash was caused by corruption put in to the mortgage industry by Democrats in the federal government, as history shows.]...." and "...An example would be evaluating a bank interested in business with the city and determining whether the institution made any profit off of 'selling Black people into slavery, or selling Black people from slave owners to slave owners,' Calloway said. 'Were the owners of your organization slave owners? So, kind of digging into the history, producing artifacts that either confirm that or dissuade that, but that's particularly what that ordinance does.'.... [Vic note: Do you see the corruption and idiocy and the bureaucratic boondoggle (involving the hiring of countless government workers to do the investigating and record keeping and all) and the waste of man hours at companies that could be set up?]....". There is big crap in Detroit!]
    In the previous edition of Television History and Trivia, I noted how specials are not really specials with fun and such today, as had been the ways of the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. The edition mentioned some specials that featured Mitzi Gaynor, and those were broadcast in the 1970s. About a week after I had posted the previous edition of Television History and Trivia, Mitzi Gaynor died, and that was on October 17, 2024.

    Remember: The Prisoner with Patrick McGoohan was a television show that was produced across the pond and shown on CBS-TV in the late 1960s, and I urge you to find The Prisoner on DVD, maybe from a library, and watch it, and you should show it--all the episodes--to teenagers, or buy it as a present for teenagers.

I note that the "mandate"--which forces everyone to buy government-approved health-care insurance--violates one of "The Rules of Man," and it is a rule that is attacked in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010. Anyone who supports the "mandate" is not a good enough person or a smart enough person to be the U.S. president--the mandate is "enslavism," and the "mandate" allows government people--who are often usually bad people, as history shows--decide what health care a person can get, and that is bad.
