On December 9, 2020, a video entitled "It's a HORRIBLE time in history to be Honest and Ethical. People love the LIE" was posted on YouTube. The video features testimony from Dr. Pierre Kory, who is, for example, related to an entity called the "Frontline COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance" and to the St. Luke's Aurora Medical Center. In the video, Dr. Pierre Kory talks about an anti-viral called "ivermectin", which has been around for some time, and talks about using it to defeat COVID-19. The talk was given at a hearing (entitled "Early Outpatient Treatment: An Essential Part of the EN SVVID-19 Solution") at the U.S. Senate (related to the Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs) on December 8, 2020. [Note: In the spring of 2020, especially around April 2020, the Democrats and people in parts of the federal government (such as the FDA), were putting down using hydroxychloroquine, saying it was dangerous, but some doctors did use it, such as on a state representative of Michigan and her husband, who thanked U.S. President Donald J. Trump for making hydroxychloroquine more known. Keep in mind--then--in the spring, hydroxychloroquine was a decades-old drug and was not dangerous (when used properly). By the way, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer (a Democrat and a socialist and a feminist (a.k.a. for all of them "enslavist")) was putting down and not promoting the drug while pushing the idea that blacks were dying of COVID-19 because the medical community was racist against blacks, and some Democrats around the country were pushing the idea that U.S. President Donald J. Trump was promoting the drug because he had stock in the company making the drug. "Ivermectin" is a known drug, and medical people know how to use it and handle it. Hold it! On December 14, 2020, the first person in the United States of America, who was in Florida, received a vaccine shot for COVID-19; companies that had developed the drug delayed telling the world that their work was done till right after the election of November 3, 2020. In December 2020, once it looked as if Donald J. Trump was no longer going to be the U.S. president, the people of the American Medical Association were saying that hydroxycholoroquine could be used.]

For this edition of Television History and Trivia, I have to talk a bit about the second-impeachment event tied to Donald J. Trump, which was defective television because the event was defective. On Tuesday, February 9, 2021, the U.S. Senate began the process of the second impeachment trial related to Donald J. Trump (who was no longer the U.S. president), and I only made sure to catch the opening-statement part related to the House Managers (Democrats from the U.S. House of Representatives), expecting that the House Managers were going to present crap. The House Managers presented a lot of crap on the day, and they presented no evidence that U.S. President Donald J. Trump had incited a riot at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. Look at one theme of crap from the House Managers. Their presentation was started by Jamie Raskin, and during his presentation, he played video taken on the day of the riot. Hold it! The purpose of the impeachment trial is to prove or disprove that U.S. President Donald J. Trump incited a riot. The video--showing angry people in the U.S. Capitol area--was nothing more than an presentation to stir emotions. It offered no proof that U.S. President Donald J. Trump or anyone was the instigator of the rioting. Late in the day on February 9, 2021, I was tuned into The Mark Levin Show (a nationally syndicated radio show), and Mark Levin, a man versed in the ways of law (being a lawyer, who has done work in the U.S. Supreme Court chamber), pointed out that such video would not be admissible in a regular court trial--it offered up nothing in relation to proving or disproving allegations that U.S. Donald J. Trump had done something. Yet, it seems, some people thought the video showed a relationship between U.S. President Donald J. Trump and the riot. I state--the video had no ties or relationship to Donald J. Trump and the video was nothing more than images from the U.S. Capitol. It was rotten television--part of what can be considered a Third World show trial--presented by the House Managers to people of the United States of America. The next day--February 10, 2021--I purposely avoided almost all that happened with the so-called impeachment event, but I did happen to catch a bit on television, such as when the House Managers were working to push the idea that Tweets in the past--weeks and months past before January 6, 2021--from U.S. Donald Trump were really part of plan to lead to an insurrection, which I thought was nonsense. In the evening, Mark Levin noted on his radio program that the House Managers were now pushing the idea that U.S. President Donald J. Trump's work to incite a riot for January 6, 2021, had really started weeks and months ago, so people paying attention to the House Manager's new ploy now were supposed to forget, for weeks, the Democrats had been pushing the story that the riot was an instantaneous event started up by U.S. President Donald J. Trump on January 6, 2021, during his now famous speech. So which of the two themes were people supposed to believe? On February 10, 2021, during the day, I did hear hear news reports on the radio about the impeachment event, and none of the reports noted that the House Managers had pushed out any real proof tying U.S. President Donald J. Trump to incitement, but I did hear that the House Managers pushed out more video from the riot, which--I knew--was more non-evidence and was more emotional-inciting stuff, and in the evening, I fired up the computer and I was given a story by Yahoo! News entitled "Impeachment managers show chilling new footage" [Stableford, Dylan, and Christopher Wilson. Impeachment managers show chilling new footage." yahoo.com, 10 February 2021, 5:08 p.m..], and, of course, it was a story that pushed nonsense and no evidence. Oh, Mark Levin noted on his show on February 10, 2021, that the new video was just more "inflammatory video" that would never be allowed to be presented in a court room by a judge, even before a left-wing judge. I have to note here that most of the main television networks covered the impeachment trial live--which was more of what could be called an episode of some bad fictional law-related television series--so, instead, I watched, for example, Channel 3.6 (in the Detroit area) and saw some old B-films and shorts, such as a short with Charlie Chase, a comedian of years ago. On February 11, 2021, the House Managers once again gave no proof that U.S. President Donald J. Trump had inspired an act of insurrection, but the House Managers did show more video that was crap and offered no proof about whether or not U.S. President Donald J. Trump had done something wrong. What was good about the Democrats' two-day work of showing videos that had no relation to U.S. President Donald J. Trump is that they had set a precedent--now Republicans could show video. On Friday, February 12, 2020, the team of attorneys defending U.S. President Donald J. Trump showed many, many minutes of videos that proved, for one, Democrats in public office or recently in public office could be impeached, and, for instance, the team showed many minutes of video in which Democrats were talking about "fighting" or were urging supporters to fight back, and the team showed material by Democrats who said they would like to beat up on Trump (in a fight) and take Trump out. During the day of Friday, February 12, 2021, the defending team for Donald J. Trump reported that the House Managers had withheld materials from the defense team, and the defending team showed how Democrats had challenged the Electoral College votes in January 2017 related to the presidential election of November 2016. In the end, television showed off the rottenness of all Democrats! And it showed off the rottenness of at least some Republicans! On Saturday, February 13, 2021, the big vote to either acquit or convict Donald J. Trump took place, and the vote turned out to be 57 to convict and 43 to acquit, and all the Democrats voted to convict, which was no surprise to good and smart people, and seven Republicans also voted to convict, and the seven Republicans were Richard Burr, Bill Cassidy, Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Mitt Romney, Ben Sasse, and Pat Toomey. And it--all the nonsense from the socialists and communists and progressives and the like (a.k.a. enslavists)--was on television, and, in the end, a two-thirds requirement to convict was not reached in the U.S. Senate, and so Donald J. Trump was acquitted!
On Wednesday, February 10, 2021, I woke up, and I almost immediately started up a television set, and I skipped through the channels. At about 9:15 a.m., Today (of NBC-TV) was airing a report about a crappy subject. An angry-looking Asian gal (who had come for Vietnam) was doing the report (an edition of "Consumer Confidential"), and the reporter was called Vicky Nguyen. The crap I saw was about companies' giving money in relation to "social justice" or "economic justice," which is really about extorting money from corporations. Some of the corporations mentioned in the segment were Coca-Cola, Apple, and Dow. It was all communistic bullshit about diversity, which touched on the Black Lives Matter movement (a hard-line socialistic/communistic movement headed by blacks!
I have reported in the past that my father was involved in helping to get natural gas in to Michigan around the late 1950s, such as by being on a survey team that was involved in finding routes for natural gas pipeline related to the western side of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan, and, by the way, he created a few one-panel cartoons for a natural-gas-related magazine around that time (and the cartoons were called The Pipeliners). On January 20, 2021, Joseph Biden as the U.S. president shut down the creation of the Keystone XL pipeline, and that immediately killed thousands of jobs, based on idiocy. On February 7, 2021, I watched the Super Bowl on television, and during the game, I thought how good it was that Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers had been beaten down a few weeks before and had been knocked out of the chance to play in the Super Bowl--I knew Aaron Rodgers was at least a jackass then. On Friday, February 12, 2021, I learned Aaron Rodgers was more than a jackass, and, in fact, I learned Aaron Rodgers was a piece of shit! On February 8, 2021, Aaron Rodgers was one of the so-called celebrities whose name was on a letter that was designed to get Joseph Biden to shut down the Dakota Access Pipeline (or the DAPL). By the way, of course, the letter was signed by a bunch of regular socialists and communists in the entertainment field, such as Jane Fonda (a super-hard-line communist), Don Cheadle, Kerry Washington, and Dave Matthews. When you see Aaron Rodgers no television, remind yourself about the true nature of Aaron Rodgers. And on behalf of my long-dead father, I say--"Stick that football up your ass, Aaron Rodgers!". Announcement for the novice again (reworked in March 2019): To get useful television-delivered news or Internet-delivered news, try Breitbart News Network (the history of which goes back to 2007), WorldNetDaily.com, Newsmax TV (which was started up in 2014), CNS News (which is on the Internet and which was launched on June 16, 1998), and One America News Network (a.k.a. OAN), since the entities do not blindly support Barack Obama-type people (communists, socialists, progressives, liberals, and Shariaists), as do CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV (Note: To learn about bad journalism, you might tune in to CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV from time to time to see how they differ from the better places mentioned). I note that Fox News Channel is evolving into a rotten channel, becoming like those that I have put down in this paragraph. If you are unclear of my intentions, I say in different words that you should boycott CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV and even now much of what is on the Fox News Channel and hope they lose more ratings and advertising revenues, since they are expendable, and it is time for you to find the guts to be mean and heartless and cancel them--since they are hurting you. In 2019, "The Drudge Report" was sold, and it should be treated as suspect for now. [Note: Everyone in the Democratic Party in the country is rotten, and the Republican Party establishment has shown itself to be socialistic and communistic within the last few years, and only a few of the rotten people tied to the Republican Party are U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell, Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, and Chris Christie.]
Here, I want to mention a bit about subchannel networks being broadcast in the Detroit area. "Light TV" is gone; it was most recently on channel 3.1 (broadcast), and, in essence, "Light TV" was bought by Byron Allen, and the channel became "TheGrio" (on television). By the way, the history of Byron Allen goes back to the 1970s, and for a bunch of decades, Byron Allen has been involved with the making syndicated shows (especially half-hour weekly syndicated shows). TheGrio is aimed at blacks, and it is sort of like Bounce, which has been around for a bunch of years. I have rarely watched Bounce, since--at least when I tune in--it has unlikable gutter black stories, such as about fights and drugs and gangs. At the moment, I cannot remember staying tuned on Bounce to watch something all the way through--there has been nothing nice and pleasant really. Watching Bounce is like watching real inner-city unpleasant society and culture. Why would anybody want to see that--that inner-city black culture of drugs and gangs and violence--day after day on television. It looks as if TheGrio is going to be another Bounce. On Friday, February 19, 2021, at about 10:14 a.m. (Detroit time), I happened to have TheGrio tuned in, and a video featuring Stacey Abrams (a black politician and a Democrat, who had been in the U.S. House of Representatives in relation to the State of Georgia from 2007 to 2017) came on, and it was a political piece and nothing more than a political piece, and, for one, Stacey Abrams pushed out the idea that Republicans' cheating ["They cheated."] caused her to lose the election a couple years ago. I state that it was bullshit from Stacey Abrams, whose piece should have had no place on the channel, and, in essence, it was bullshit being pushed along by Byron Allen!

On Sunday, January 31, 2021, I discovered the topic about "film incentives" for Michigan was back in the news (sort of). A woman named Carol Cain, who has been on television for years as the host of the local Detroit-area program called Michigan Matters, had an article in the Detroit Free Press entitled "It may be time to revive film incentives" [Cain, Carol. "It may be time to revive film incentives." Detroit Free Press, 31 January 2021, p. 2B.]. I state that is is more crap from the socialists and communists. One person pushing for freebies for the film industry in Michigan is Brian Kelly, a resident of Ferndale, Michigan, who is associated with the Michigan Film Industry Association. On March 7, 2011, I put a document on the Internet that is entitled Film and Television Production Tax Credits: The Bad Side of the Issue, and it puts down any idea of giving people in the entertainment industry tax freebies, and my document can be reached through this TV Tax link.
I recently discovered that Drive-In Television or Television Drive-In (which is on broadcast channel 3.6 in Detroit) is now carrying a bunch of movie shows hosted by various characters on Saturdays (and the shows were originally made for local stations or whatever around the country some years ago). One of the shows is Chiller Drive-In, which is airing at 8:00 p.m. on Saturdays. On Saturday February 27, 2021, I was tuned in to Chiller Drive-In, and at about 8:20 p.m., the show had within it an old commercial from Hasbro (a commercial from the 1960s or maybe the 1950s). Hold it! Let me pass along some reminder information. In 2007, Nightmare SINema began to get the attention of people in the Detroit area as a television show made for public-access television or local cable television entities, and the show was hosted by a character called Wolfman Mac (who was played by Mac Kelly), and in March 2008, the show began to be shown on Channel 20 (WMYD-TV) in Detroit, and soon the title of the show was changed to Wolfman Mac's Chiller Drive-In (or simply Chiller Drive-In), and in late 2009, the show ended up on a network called RTV, too. Of course, the weekly show showed horror movies. There you go. Now, you have some background on Wolfman Mac. So, on February 27, 2021, that old Hasbro commercial, which originally showed up in Chiller Drive-In some ten years ago in the original run of Chiller Drive-In and had been seen in the country originally decades previously as a real commercial, was for "Mr. Potato Head" and "Mrs. Potato Head" (two characters that were or are toys). Recently, news came out that Hasbro was getting rid of the names "Mr. Potato Head" and "Mrs. Potato Head" because of some idiotic reason pushed out by rotten people, especially those now in control of Hasbro [Pisani, Joseph. "A mister no more: Mr. Potato Head goes gender neutral." abcnews.go.com, 25 February 2021, 2:30 p.m..]. It looks as if, in the fall, the toy characters will only be "Potato Heads." I say--Buy the old stuff, such as from garage sales, and mash the new ones.
Oh, on March 1, 2021, I saw the ending of the episode of Jeopardy! (the weekday syndicated game show), and it was hosted by the executive producer, Mike Richards. At the end of the episode, Mike Richards pushed out the theme of working to create a "kinder and gentler society" and coming together. I state that Mike Richards is an elitists mush-head, working to get people to not fight back against the elitists, such as the communists and the socialists, who are society killers. Such crap the message was!
It is fun to watch white socialists and black socialists fight--two groups of crap? But here, I have to somewhat support white socialists, since in the theme of this section, has black socialists as worse than the white socialists. On March 29, 2021, the Detroit Free Press pushed out a story entitled "Black-owned media leaders call Barra racist" [LaReau, Jamie L. "Black-owned media leaders call Barra racist." Detroit Free Press, 29 March 2021, pp. 1A and 13A.]. The "Barra" is Mary Barra, the CEO of General Motors Corporation, who came to power through, in essence, Barack Obama's push to change the management at General Motors Corporation (during the time of Barack Obama was the U.S. president), and it was a case of a hard-line socialist working to change management of companies to socialistic entities. Some of the blacks--socialists and pieces of crap--attacking Mary Barra in the article are Byron Allen (whose history in national television, especially as a syndicator, goes back decades in time and whose history includes putting The Grio network on the air), Ice Cube (who came to fame as an actor), Earl Graves Jr., and Roland Martin. Hold it! I did not see the edition of the Detroit Free Press for March 28, 2021, till after seeing the edition for March 29, 2021, and in the edition for March 28, 2021, I found a "paid advertisement" entitled "General Motors Chairman and CEO Mary Barra refuses to sit down with Black Owned Media Companies", which covered the entire page known as 3A. The article began with--"Mary Barra, Why??? We were seriously offended watching you stand on stage, after the death of George Floyd, saying, 'Black Lives Matter,' when you have refused to acknowledge us and you have consistently, over time and after multiple requests, refused to take a meeting with the largest Black Owned Media companies in America. Mary, the very definition of systemic racism is when you are ignored, excluded and you don't have true economic inclusion. General Motors spends billions of dollars in advertising and less than 0.5% goes to Black Owned Media (not to be confused with Black Targeted Media). This is horrendous, considering that we as African Americans make up approximately 14% of the population in America and we spend billions buying your vehicles....". Okay, you have that much from the advertisment. The newspaper article had the idea that, since Mary Barra, who leads a vehicle-making company, does not wish to meet with black-owned media guys and gals, Mary Barra is racist. I state that the blacks involved with the advertisement are pushing shit, and I would tell that to them in person. Mary Barra is not required to meet with these black pieces of shit, who support the communistic/socialistic movement called Black Lives Matter (which was created by two black women, who are hard-line socialists). Mary Barra is busy making cars, which might include going to other countries and overseeing many people involved with running divisions of the company. Hey, Byron and Ice Cube and such, stop buying vehicles from General Motors Corporation! Do what you want! I do not give a crap what you buy, and General Motors Corporation will get along without you. You of this rotten movement--you black guys from television--can go stick your crap up you asses! The plot from Byron Allen and associates is rotten coercion, which I expect from inner-city gutter blacks! When you see such persons as Byron Allen and Ice Cube on television, remember their natures, which was shown off well in a ploy to coerce by calling people racists.
I have to report that regularly I tune in to Television Drive-In (channel 3.6), and I have to report that I am a little disappointed in the channel since it recently picked up some new-to-the-channel movies that are sort of crummy, being more modern B-like movies or cheap movies (though in color); I think the older movies on the channel, such as those of the 1930s and 1940s are better, even when they are B-pictures. Since I published the previous edition of Television History and Trivia, I caught something that I was unaware of on the channel. The channel aired a "Jones Family" movie. The "Jones Family" was a character family that showed up in 17 movies that were released from 1938 to 1940 by 20th Century Fox. The movies were comedies. The first movie was Every Saturday Night, and the final movie was On Their Own. After I saw the Jones Family movie on Television Drive-In, I went looking for information about the Jones Family, particularly to see when movies of the franchise showed up on television in Detroit for the first time. In March 1959, Down on the Farm showed up, and in May 1959, Love on a Budget showed up, and in October 1959, On Their Own showed up, and December 1959, Love on a Budget showed up, and a few more movies of the group were aired in Detroit in 1960. It seems between 1950 and 1958, none of the movies of the group were shown on television in the Detroit area, and it looks as if many of the movies never aired on television in the Detroit area. Because I had lacked knowledge of the Jones Family before seeing one of the movies recently, I have made one of the movies the presentation of the Looking at the Movies feature of my Television History and Trivia series of documents. I found that The Jones Family in Hollywood is available on YouTube, and the movie features such performers as Jed Prouty, Spring Byington, Ken Howell, George Ernest, June Carlson, Florence Roberts, and Billy Mahan. Spring Byington became a character performer on a television series called December Bride (a sitcom), which aired on CBS-TV from 1954 to 1959, and also in that series was Dean Miller, who in the early 1970s would become a main news anchor (reader) for WWJ-TV, Channel 4, and it was Channel 4 that aired most of the Jones Family movies seen in the Detroit area in the 1959-1960 period. As a special presentation of Looking at the Movies, tune in The Jones Family in Hollywood.
Remember: The Prisoner with Patrick McGoohan was a television show that was produced across the pond and shown on CBS-TV in the late 1960s, and I urge you to find The Prisoner on DVD, maybe from a library, and watch it, and you should show it--all the episodes--to teenagers, or buy it as a present for teenagers.

Anyone who supports the "mandate" is not a good enough person or a smart enough person to be the U.S. president--the mandate is "enslavism," and the "mandate" allows government people--who are often and usually bad people, as history shows--decide what health care a person can get, and that is bad.
