Hey, Michiganian, have you seen any rotten people on television while trapped in your living quarters by rules from Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer over the last number of weeks? Certainly, if you turned on television, you have seen such useless people as Devin Scillian, Kimberly Gill, Carolyn Clifford, Dave LewAllen, Huel Perkins, and Monica Gayle, spouting out useless news as employees for Detroit-based television stations, such as stuff about another robbery or a another shooting. Did anyone at a Detroit television station point out the idiocy of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer's ideas or the hideous issues tied to the Michael Flynn case or the evilness of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, which are national issues and life-and-death issues? What was probably not covered by the useless people, I cover here in another edition of Television History and Trivia.
Since I published the previous edition of Television History and Trivia, I was far from my main home and missed out on watching Television Drive-In, but I was still able to catch presentations on radio and video of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, who made somewhat regular press events for people to catch--if they wished--about her and the COVID-19 event. Often I had to stop doing computer research about television history in Detroit on the Internet to see what crap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer was going to spit out out of her mind. For the record, I pass along in this document some information that shows off the nature of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer's mind, and through television and radio, her mind showed itself to be not good, and, of course, the document has information that is tied to television, sometimes long, long forgotten television.
In the middle of March 2020 at least, I was aware that a drug called "hydroxychloroquine" was being used to help people infected with COVID-19 (or "coronavirus-19" or coronavirus), and one way in which I heard of it was by listening regularly to The Sean Hannity Show (a nationally syndicated radio show hosted by Sean Hannity, who also had a television show called Hannity on the Fox News Channel). For example, I learned the drug was being used in Europe, and it was being used at times in conjunction with an antibiotic (which kills bacteria and not viruses), and a medical treated might also involve an amount of zinc. In March 2020, it was known that "hydroxychloroquine" was about a 75-year-old drug used to treat malaria, and, for a while, the drug had been known as a drug to help people with Lupus, but the drug had yet to be put through real clinical testing in relation to helping people with coronavirus 19, which is not surprising since coronavirus 19--the "China virus"--had only been around in the world since about November 2019 (though maybe earlier). It can take many months at least to conduct a really good trial. In March 2020, U.S. President Donald Trump talked about the hydroxychloroquine in several press conferences, and a number of Democrats, such as in the media, pushed out the idea that U.S. President Donald J. Trump was pushing for the use of the drug because he had a money stake in a company that made the drug [Note: I talked about the theme in the previous edition of Television History and Trivia.], and it looks as if "eggheads" were not pushing for using hydroxychloroquine against COVID-19 in the United States of America because the drug had not been tested thoroughly. Yet, some doctors in the United States of America began using hydroxychloroquine, even though the upper-level medical community of the world (or simply the United States of America) had not given a great endorsement in relation to COVID-19 for using hydroxychloroquine, which was considered, basically, a nearly risk-free drug or a nearly side-effects-free drug. Of course, a smart and good person was deducing in March 2020 that, given the drug was fairly safe and given there were reports coming from places in the world that hydroxychloroquine was saving lives, hydroxychloroquine was worth using and trying. I report that, although hydroxychloroquine was not being pushed as a cure, it was saving lives. A smart and good person is well aware--Sometimes, you have to tell the eggheads (with their studies and such) to go to hell. Around April 7, 2020, some people heard the story about Michigan State Representative Karen Whitsett (the 9th District of Michigan), who had been become ill in late March 2020 with COVID-19 and had begun to use hydroxychloroquine and an antibiotic on March 31, 2020, and the medicine helped her, as it did her husband, who had been ill, and people learned that Michigan State Representative Karen Whitsett thanked U.S. President Donald J. Trump for giving publicity to hydroxychloroquine [Davies, Erica. "'I Do Thank Him': Democrat credits Trump with saving her life by touting coronavirus drug." the-sun.com, 7 April 2020, 16:11 ET (updated version); Egan, Paul. "Detroit rep says hydroxychloroquine, Trump helped save her life amid COVID-19 fight." freep.com, 7 April 2020, 6:01 p.m. (updated version).]. On April 13, 2020, around the three o'clock hour in the afternoon (Detroit time), I was doing research on the Internet about television shows of the past in Detroit, and I was listening to WTCM-AM (Traverse City, Michigan), and at about 3:00 p.m., the regular programming was interrupted by another press conference focusing on the coronavirus featuring Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer. The special report seemed to be joined a moment or so late of the real start time, and the first thing that I heard from Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer was "no cure", and what she was saying was that there was no cure for coronavirus. Much of the press conference came off as a girlie show, in which, for example, Governor Gretchen Whitmer and a female medical person talked about their families and emotional stuff, and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer pushed out the idea that she would rather be working to fix the "damn roads", and she talked about saving our health-care system. Through the press conference, I did not get the feeling that Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer was inspiring confidence in people, and that idea also applies to the female medical person, who seemed nervous every time she talked. The press event lasted about 45 minutes, and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer--whom I say is a foolish woman and a stupid woman, who is a supporter of socialism and communism--did not make hydroxychloroquine a theme for even a moment. I report that eggheads and bookish people can get all lost in their procedures and trials and tests when there is no time to waste or fool around--You have to go with what you have sometimes or the best that you have. Overall, the press event reminded me once again why there should not be a nationally controlled health-care system in any country, because the collage of idiocy and inaction and lack of common sense and little-girl thinking from bureaucrats and politicians--often guided mostly by political ideas related to communism and socialism--ends up killing people, who were not able to bypass the government system and do better for the self.
[Note: Michigan State Representative Karen Whitsett and her husband met with U.S. President Donald J. Trump at the White House on April 13, 2020, and she once again thanked U.S. President Donald J. Trump publicly [Spangler, Todd. "Trumps meets with Michigan coronavirus victims, including Detroit state rep." freep.com, 14 April 2020, 5:00 p.m., ET.].]
On Wednesday, April 15, 2020, in the afternoon, I got exposed to another one of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer's jackass speeches on the radio that focused on her efforts to fight coronavirus. On this day, people in cars were protesting around the Capitol building of Lansing, Michigan, complaining the governor's stay-at-home order was too strict, and, during the speech, the governor made a note that the rally "endangers people" (though--I report--the people were locked away in their vehicles). At one point in the speech, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer brought up how, during the 1918 pandemic, the social-distancing-like thing was let up after a while, and then there was an up tick in illness, but Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer was mixing apples and oranges, given, in 1918, the medical-system did not have the numerous drugs available as the medical system of the country has today, which can include hydroxychloroquine. Her logic was defective! The speech was more girlie fluff and more emotional crap.
On Friday, April 17, 2020, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer made another speech in the three o'clock hour of an afternoon (Detroit time) that I was able to catch live, and the event came off as yet another little-girl talk, which sometimes gave me the impression that she was thinking she was talking to children and not adults. The speech began with nonsense about how the coronavirus has "taken a toll on mental health," and one theme from her was a website related to "mindfulness," and it was a website that offered a "meditation app." Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer pushed out the idea that the coronavirus thing is causing a "rising stress that we're all confronting." Also, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer pushed out that there is a free website tied to the "Michigan Care Program," and it is involved with helping with "social and emotional well being skills." And Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer pushed out the idea that there is a domestic violence hotline available. Then Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer sort of got to the things more important to adults, such as the ban on going places, which meant people had had to sit through crap till she sort of came to important stuff. [Note: Boy, I am glad Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer--a stupid woman--was not my mother, because I might have ended up as a useless piss-ass little boy.] The regular female doctor appeared again in this press event, and she pushed out the idea that Michigan was the first state to post race and ethnicity stats in related to deaths on the Internet, and she pushed out the idea that there are racial disparities in health care, which is bullshit. The female doctor noted that there exists a disaster-stress hotline, some type of "800" number. By the way, I care not about the name of the female doctor who spoke, since she is someone to forget--another useless type of female. Then, the first question for the two women came from a male reporter, who bought up stuff related to U.S. President Donald J. Trump's working to open up states and related to how Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer felt about a Tweet tied to U.S. President Donald J. Trump. The main theme from the media for the interview portion of the event was about testing, testing, testing. And the main focus of the press conference was not--as it should have been--on hydroxychloroquine and how it was it helping ill people--something that could be considered part of an everyday update to, maybe, give people hope and show why the state could be opened up. The press event was more of a look into the minds of communists, especially female communists, who are filled with girlie-thinking processes. And near the end of the press event, one thing that Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer said again was--"... There's no cure. There's no vaccine....".
I have to jump in here with an aside of sorts. On Saturday, April 18, 2020, the Detroit Free Press, probably a favorite newspaper for Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, published a story about a drug called "remdesivir" that was then being used in, for example, Chicago, Illinois. The article entitled "Drug brings 'rapid' recovery for COVID-19 patients" (Bomey, Nathan, and Grace Hauck. "Drug brings 'rapid' recovery for COVID19 patients." Detroit Free Press, 18 April 2020, p. 5A.). The story noted that the drug was from Gilead Sciences, and although the slant of the story showed it was not pushing for the use of the drug on a wide basis yet (because of the ways of the medical community with so much more thought to completing perfect long-range trials) , the story said that the drug is leading to "rapid recoveries in fever and respiratory symptoms, with nearly all patients discharged in less than a week....".
On Monday, April 20, 2020, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer once again did an afternoon press event before radio microphones and television microphones and cameras, beginning at about 3:00 p.m. (Detroit time). Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer opened her presentation about COVID-19 by talking about a five-year-old girl of Detroit who had died, and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer noted how the news hurts her heart. For a moment, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer tried to make a comparison between World War II and today, by saying that in World War II people did not complain about not being able to get paint from stores, which, in some cases, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has blocked people from getting because of her ban on travel and such. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer pointed about how companies--small businesses--are setting up and making things, such as masks, to help get people protected (if they wish), though, in essence, there was already not so much need for their work, given hydroxychloroquine was available to take care of those who should now become ill and need medication. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer pushed the idea that people in the rural areas are yet not safe, though they might think they are, so they have to continue to follow her rules about staying safe. I--out in a rural area--quickly let the idea fade from my memory, especially when Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer pushed out the ideas that there are "deep inadequacies" in health care in Michigan and there is a "lack of access to health care" for blacks in a state, where about 14 percent of the population is black, and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer said that about 40 percent of the victims to COVID-19 in Michigan are black. On this day, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed an order to create a unit of government to tackle disparities in health care in Michigan, and it was announced that Michigan Lieutenant Governor Gilchrist--a black communist--gets to head the task force about black racism in health care. Oh, the female doctor--a black woman--was on the air during the event, and the female doctor passed along the same fluff as she had in the past, such as about testing, and, by the way, I finally wasted time to find out the name of the female doctor, and the name was Dr. Joneigh Khaldun, who is the chief medical officer in Michigan. Michigan Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist--who sounded like a feminized man--got to speak, especially about "racial disparity" and the systemic problem of racism in health care, and Michigan Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist pushed out the ideas that a number of persons of his circle of people have died of COVID-19 (about 15 persons) and that a number of persons that he knows are in the hospital with COVID-19, and, yet, as I point out here, Michigan Lieutenant Garlin Gilchrist said nothing about hydroxychloroquine, but Michigan Lieutenant Garlin Gilchrist did make sure to say--upon closing his segment of the event--that he looks forward to keeping everyone informed about the "task force" (which I say will be a useless political body of socialists and communists). Once again, reporters got to ask questions, helping to stretch out the length of the little-girl presentation of uselessness and repetitive fluff. Fortunately for me, the radio station to which I was listening to hear the presentation dropped out of the event after an hour of covering the event, and since I did not want to hear anymore crap, I did not see if another radio station was still carrying the broadcast or if a television station was still carrying the broadcast.
Around eleven o'clock in the morning of Friday, April 24, 2020, I ended up listening to yet another COVID-19 related news event headed by Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, while keeping in mind there was no way that there would not be a rise in COVID-19 cases while Michigan is being opened up again, since people have been locked away for weeks from the virus and have not let their bodies become accustomed to it or become immuned to it. During the event, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer pushed out the idea that the peoples' staying inside and hidden from others has "pushed the curve down." Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer made sure to say--"We've saved lives!". I report that all that has happened is there has been a delay in exposure for millions of persons. Sounding unconvincing, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer said--"Staying home is our best weapon.". A person listening had to understand then that, basically, people would never be able to go out again in relation to Michigan Governor's Gretchen Whitmer's thinking, since the virus will never be killed anytime soon. During the event, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer pushed out that, if a second wave of sickness comes, it will be "more devastating than the moment we're in.". Of course, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer had no proof to back up her statement about how bad a second wave would be." Later in the press event, Dr. Joneigh Khaldun got to speak, passing along more fluff overall, and Dr. Joneigh Khaldun stressed that there is "not an appropriate anti-viral treatment.". By the way, Dr. Joneigh Khaldun gave the impression that the lock down will be lifted in stages (though there might be set backs) and will not be stopped completely for months and months, maybe not even for 18 months (when a vaccine might be available), and, at the time, it was said that about 3,000 persons had died of of COVID-19 already in Michigan [Note: The statistic figure was defective information, and a good and smart person well understood the federal government was listing anyone who died while having COVID-19 in the body--even if something else was really the main cause of death--as a COVID-19 death.].
[By the way, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer's nutty statements of April 24, 2020, were said on the same day that U.S. Representative Nancy Pelosi (the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives and a "Democrat") said these nutty statements before the press (in what was really "fake news," given she lied)--"...The President is asking people to inject Lysol in to their lungs...." and "...It's a clear visible--within 24 hours--of how the Republicans reject science and reject governance. If you don't believe in science and you don't believe in governance. That's their approach....".]
On March 25, 2020, I was doing research through the Internet about lighthouses, especially lighthouse Fresnel lens, and my focus was on the Great Lakes region, and, ultimately, the researching was part of roughly a three-week heavy search that resulted in my creating, for one, a sixty-page document (in single-space form) that helps me prove a particular damaged Fresnel Lens that is stored at the Dossin Great Lakes Michigan, Detroit, Michigan, was the first lens to be used at 40 Mile Point Lighthouse (of the Rogers City area of Michigan) and the first lens to be used at Sand Hills Lighthouse (of the Ameek area of Michigan), and on the evening of March 25, 2020, I was listening to The Mark Levin Show (a national syndicated radio show). At one point during the show, Mark R. Levin took a telephone caller from a woman who was a manager at the nursing home-type place in New York, and she noted how she was trying to get help because places like hers were having to take in people who were infected with COVID-19--that is, for instance, her place, which has older people, many of whom already are not well and fit, was being forced by law, such as from the governor of the state, to take people ill with coronavirus. I will realized that the government in New York was putting ill people in with older people, who probably had immune systems and body systems that would not well fight of COVID-19. Over the next month, Mark R. Levin talked about the problem of nursing homes in New York and a few other states being forced to take in coronavirus patients--and the states has governors who were tied to the Democratic Party (a communistic party), and, late in April 2020, Mark R. Levin playing a recording of the March 25, 2020, telephone caller at least once. In late April 2020, some media entities were reporting how Mark R. Levin was stepping up the talk about, for example, Governor Andrew Cuomo administration's defective policy related to coronavirus patients and nursing homes, and Mark R. Levin was showing well the rottenness of, for example, Governor Andrew Cuomo, who in late April 2020, was working to put the blame on nursing homes, such as for not having enough masks and such for people in nursing homes. Also in late April 2020, I was hearing reports related to statistics compiled by Dr. Scott Atlas and Joan Traitel, such as in a document entitled "The data is in--stop the panic and end the total isolation" [Scott W. Atlas, M.D., and Joan Traitel. "The data is in--stop the panic and end the total isolation." The Hill, 22 April 2020.], and the information noted that, for instance, 99.2 percent of the people affected in New York City had underlying bad-health conditions (such as diabetes and obesity) and two-thirds of the people who were ill were over 70 years of age and the chances of a young person dying of COVID-19 were nearly zero. All of it made me think of the idiotic logic of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer's, who had said in press-conference speeches that she was following the scientific data and research. [Arama, Nick. "Mark Levin Calls Out 'Huge Scandal' NY Requiring Virus Patients to Be Accepted by Nursing Homes." redstate.com, 24 April 2020, 11:00 a.m.; Hogan, Bernadette, and Bruce Golding. "Nursing Homes have 'no right' to reject coronavirus patients, Cuomo says." nypost.com, 23 April 2020, 5:40 p.m.; Sheehy, Kate. "Cuomo doubles down on ordering nursing homes to admit coronavirus patients." nypost.com, 26 April 2020, 3:24 p.m.; Saunders, Joe. "Mark Levin Explodes on 'Huge Scandal' of Cuomo Gov't's Role in Nursing Home Coronavirus Deaths." The Western Journal, 27 April 2020, 9:08 a.m..] A person's thinking soundly reveals skewed death statistics, since, for instance, New York put COVID-19 people in nursing homes, where there were already people with illnesses and weak body systems, and then, for example, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer was probably looking at the defective death statistics in New York to help make decisions to completely shut down Michigan, when most people would never be affected adversely by COVID-19, as happens with flu.I report that you must be keep in mind that Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer will fight to the death to put you down and put your arguments down, because Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer believes she is a smart woman--a smart woman--and when a person is not smart really and when a person believes the self to be smart, the person will listen to no one else, and other people end up in crap or dead, and it must be remembered that Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer is a "feminist"--a female filled with crap ideas about men and women and filled with hatred for men, so she will act extra harshly against a man, especially one that would put her ideas down, though he is right, and she will do whatever she wants to spite the man, and it always has to be remembered Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer's base of knowledge is communistic theory and socialist theory, a collage of nonsense.
By the way, Gretchen Whitmer is 49 years of age, having been born on August 23, 1971, and by the age of 49, a person who yet supports the ways of communism and socialism, as Gretchen Whitmer does, is a rotten person--a killer. Gretchen Whitmer does indeed support communism and socialism, since she is a high-ranking member of the Democratic Party (at least a communistic political party today), and if you support the people in the Democratic Party, you have to be rotten. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is a high-ranking member of the Democratic Party, and he is a rotten man. For instance, on March 25, 2020, the Andrew Cuomo administration began to force nursing homes in New York--places for older people usually, who often have health problems--to take in people infected by the COVID-19 virus. In essence, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo purposely sent highly ill people--those with COVID-19--in to places that should never have been given such people, because death to real residences of nursing homes would be very likely, and nursing-home residents did indeed die because of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's action. [By the way, of course, Democrats were probably happy a bunch of older people--people taking money from government coffers to be kept alive--died.] And that is the way of killers--Democrats. If you hang around with rotten people and you support rotten people, you are rotten, and that is a logic statement about Gretchen Whitmer. Hold it! I am not done with stuff that such people as Devin Scillian, Kimberly Gill, Carolyn Clifford, Dave LewAllen, Huel Perkins, and Monica Gayle might not have told you, being busy passing along useless news. Some weeks ago, people from other states--with health-care skills--were urged to head to New York and help take care of people with COVID-19, and, for instance, a number of people did go to New York as volunteers, and they were paid to go by the employers in the states from which they were based. Even before the COVID-19 crisis hit, New York was in big debt (somewhere around 13-billion dollars), such as because of defective policies set up in New York by such Democrats as New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, so New York needed money to pay off debt. On Tuesday, May 25, 2020, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo made it clear in a public statement that people who came from other states to New York to volunteer and work in the COVID-19 crisis would have to pay income tax to the New York (if they stayed more than 14 days to help out), and, of course, if any volunteer who stayed more than 14 days and then died, the estate of that volunteer would have to pay tax to New York. If must be remembered that any person who came to New York to volunteer had to pay sales tax in New York for food and such, so the state was making some money. Even if the idea about taxing the volunteers gets shut down, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo's hope for such people to be taxed shows the rottenness of his mind and the rotten nature of the Democratic Party in the United States of America, to which Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer highly supports. [Crockett, Corey, and James Ford. "Health workers that volunteered to come to NY during pandemic have to pay state income tax." www.pix11.com, 6 May 2020, 7:15 a.m. (an updated version).; Olsen, Julian. "Health care workers volunteering in NY will have to pay state income tax, Gov. Cuomo says." www.wtsp.com, 6 May 2020, 5:45 p.m. (an updated version).]
I have to make it clear that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo caused COVID-19 deaths in New York and that screwed up the statistics about deaths from COVID-19 in New York, and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer was at least indirectly making decisions about Michigan based on the screwed up the statistics of deaths in New York--some deaths caused by Andrew Cuomo should not have happened.
Yes, people risked their lives to head to New York to help out, and now they have to be taxed, even if dead, but that is the way of the "Democrat" (the enslavist)--a killer.
Announcement for the novice again (reworked in March 2019): To get useful television-delivered news or Internet-delivered news, try Breitbart News Network (the history of which goes back to 2007), WorldNetDaily.com, Newsmax TV (which was started up in 2014), and CNS News (which is on the Internet and which was launched on June 16, 1998), since the entities do not blindly support Barack Obama-type people (communists, socialists, progressives, liberals, and Shariaists), as do CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV (Note: To learn about bad journalism, you might tune in to CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV from time to time to see how they differ from the better places mentioned). I note that Fox News Channel is evolving into a rotten channel, becoming like those that I have put down in this paragraph. If you are unclear of my intentions, I say in different words that you should boycott CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV and even now much of what is on the Fox News Channel and hope they lose more ratings and advertising revenues, since they are expendable, and it is time for you to find the guts to be mean and heartless and cancel them--since they are hurting you. In 2019, "The Drudge Report" was sold, and it should be treated as suspect for now. [Note: Everyone in the Democratic Party in the country is rotten, and the Republican Party establishment has shown itself to be socialistic and communistic within the last few years, and only a few of the rotten people are U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell, Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush, and Chris Christie.]
Since 2004, I have--a bunch of times--talked about the problems with a book entitled From Soupy To Nuts! A History of Detroit Television, which was written by Tim Kiska, and once again, I have to talk about it, showing yet another problem with the book. On page 56, one of the topics is a television show entitled Profiles in Black, which is only covered with nine sentences. Look at one sentence--"Two U.S. Senators (Donald Riegel and Carl Levin) also made appearances on the program, which aired during prime time or early evenings on Saturdays, Sundays or Mondays between 1969 and 1981.". That is wrong. The series began to run on WWJ-TV, Channel 4, on Saturday, November 29, 1969, at 8:30 pm., and the series was a weekly series, which started out with Profiles in Black as the name. In January 1971, the show moved to Monday evenings, and in February 1972, the show moved to Friday evenings, and in September 1972, the show moved to Sunday evenings, and in January 1975, the show moved to Saturday evenings, and in September 1976, the show moved to Sunday evenings. On March 13, 1977, the show was given a new title--Profiles. In July 1978, the show moved to Friday evenings, and on August 30, 1978, and September 6, 1978, the show was a Wednesday show, but, really, from late September 1978 to April 1979, the show was usually a Saturday evening show, and from about May 1978 to June 1978, it was usually a Thursday show, and from June 1978 to September 1979, it was getting runs on Thursday and Sunday, and from October 1979 to December 1979, it was usually a Saturday show, and from January 1980 to April 1980, it was usually as Wednesday show, and from May 1980 to July 1980, it was usually a Tuesday show, and from July 1980 to September 1980, it was usually a Friday show. Profiles ended on Friday, September 12, 1980. The series aired at some time on every day of the week during the run, and the show was even on in repeats on Saturday mornings in the last year or so of the run. By the way, the host was Gilbert Maddox (or Gil Maddox).
Announcement: Recently, I have added some new documents to the collection of my documents at the website for The Hologlobe Press. One of the documents is entitled A Document that Dispels Myths and Nonsense of Science-Fiction Books, Movies, and Television Shows (A Logic Puzzle), which can be reached through this Myths link. Another document is And So You Think You're Going to the Moon, Mars, or the Stars..., which can be reached by using this Moon link. And yet another of the documents is entitled And the Stupid Women Shall Lead--and Lead Ever Good Individual into Shit, Driven on by Communism, Feminism, and Defective Female Beliefs and Little-Girl Thinking, which can be reached through this Stupid Women link. And here are other documents--A Review of What Television Controlled by Socialists and Communists Worked to Sell as Truth in Relation to the U.S. President Donald J. Trump Impeachment (at Impeachment) and T.H.A.T. Special Edition--The First Helicopter-based Traffic Reporters on Radio for the Detroit area of Michigan (at Helicopter Traffic).
Because of the coronavirus event, the federal government of the United States of America has passed bills into law that have the federal government spending thousands and thousands of billions of dollars to shore up something-or-other. Good and smart people are aware much of the spending is not backed by reasons to do the spending--the spending figures just have seemed to come out of nowhere. While doing television research about Detroit television on Thursday, April 23, 2020, OI stumbled across a television program about financial crisis. On Sunday, April 5, 1959, WWJ-TV, Channel 4, had a television program on the air starting at 7:15 p.m. that was about the financial crisis in Michigan. The program only lasted 15 minutes. A person has to wonder how much was really solved through the program and how long a program would have to be today to discussion the financial crisis in the United States of America today.
Over the last numbers of years, especially the last three or so, I have shown up in editions of Television History and Trivia numerous rotten people who get to appear on television, such as the communists and black racists of the Detroit Free Press, members of whom have gotten to appear regularly on Detroit television stations to spew their rotten ideas, some of whom have been Rochelle Riley and Stephen Henderson. On Saturday, April 25, 2020, the Detroit Free Press made a point to report that it hired two new reporters--females--for the newspaper, which is a communistic entity, and the announcement was made in an article entitled "Free Press to welcome 2 Report for America journalists" ["Free Press to welcome 2 Report for America journalists." Detroit Free Press, 25 April 2020, pp. 4A and 5A.]. The article made a point to note that one of the reporters is Clara Hendrickson, who has been involved with the Brookings Institute as a "research analyst in governance studies", which I say in nonsense stuff, and the article noted that she has written for, for instance, Politico, which--I note--is a communistic entity. The other reporter is Nushrat Rahamn, who has been a student in journalism at the School of Journalism at Columbia University, a leftist entity, and she is a woman who seems to be a supporter of Sharia (which is Islamic law, which is a rotten political system masquerading as a religion). The two women will probably be working closely with an "editor" at the Detroit Free Press called Peter Bhatia, who had an article in the Detroit Free Press on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, entitled "How to help the Free Press be on guard for another 189 years" [Bhatia, Peter. "How to help the Free Press be on guard for another 189 years." Detroit Free Press, 5 May 2020, p. 2A.]. When I saw the title of the article, I knew the article was crap, given it was a sympathy piece, which was designed to get people to help keep the newspaper in business through donations. It was a rotten theme from the Detroit Free Press, which had promoted as good all the crap of, for example, the Mueller Investigation and the Trump impeachment process, some of which I show up as crap in my document entitled A Review of What Television Controlled by Socialists and Communists Worked to Sell as Truth in Relation to the U.S. President Donald J. Trump Impeachment, which can be reached through this Impeachment link. The final paragraph of the newspaper article shows--to a smart and good person--the rottenness of Peter Bhatia and the people at the Detroit Free Press even more--"...Here's a way you can help journalism at the Free Press. We participate in a program called Report for America. It puts journalists into newsrooms to cover topics of contemporary interest. RFA provides grants that cover about half of the salaries for these reporters. We currently have one RFA reporter, Angie Jackson, who is covering the challenges faced by people returning to the community from prison. We have two more RFA reporters joining us next month: one to cover issues of economic mobility--the challenges of escaping poverty--and another in partnership with the national fact-checking organization, PolitiFace. RFA asks us to raise locally the remaining funds needed for these journalists. We are in part funding Angie, now in her second year in our newsroom, with a grant from the Hudson Webber Foundation. If you'd like to help fund these journalists and their work, you can donate here: bit.ly/freeRFA....". A smart and good person knows, if the newspaper industry were not putting out crap on a daily basis, if would not need grants to pay reporters, which was not the way of journalism and newspapers years ago. A good and smart person has to wonder why a special reporter would be needed to cover "economic mobility", which is a crap theme, and a good and smart person has to wonder why a newspaper would have to ask for donations to pay what revenue from advertising and subscriptions should cover, as had been the way for decades for newspapers. Consider--The newspaper is asking you to donate money to the newspaper so that the newspaper can waste time on articles about "economic mobility" and other crap. Peter Bhatia and the other people at the Detroit Free Press are rotten, and I have shown up more of the rottenness in this paragraph.
[Note: On Sunday, May 10, 2020, the Detroit Free Press had a big story, covering more than two pages, about a couple (a husband-and-wife team) who dealt with COVID-19 [Shamus, Kristen Jordan. "COVID-19 NEARLY KILLED THEM." Detroit Free Press, 10 May 2020, pp. 1A, 6A, and 7A.], and, by the way, in this day and age of newspapers, it is rare when a really long story about persons gets published. The article was a fluff piece hoping to bring up emotions in readers. The story talked a bit about ventilators, but the story made no real mention about what medications were given to the couple (which would be useful serious "adult" information), such as about hydroxychloroquine, giving a hint whether or not the drug was helpful or not or whether or not it could be used or was used. A good and smart person has to wonder--What the hell was really done for the couple?]On Thursday, U.S. President Donald J. Trump made comments regarding the news that the case against Michael Flynn was being dropped by the the U.S. Department of Justice, and U.S. President Donald J. Trump said such things as--"I didn't know it was happening at this moment. I felt it was going to happen just by watching and seeing like everybody else does. He was an innocent man. He is a, ah, great gentleman. He was targeted by the Obama administration. And he was targeted in order to try and take down a president. And what they've done is a disgrace, and I hope a big price is going to be paid. A big price should be paid! There's never been anything like this in the history of our country. What they did, what the Obama administration did is, ah, unprecedented...." and "...And I hope a lot of people are going to pay a big price, because they are dishonest, crooked people. They're scum! And I say it a lot. They're scum! They're human scum!....". The people to whom U.S. President Donald Trump referred, such as former FBI Director James Comey, can be learned about in stories and videos from non-communistic and non-socialistic news entities, and only a few of the articles and videos are "Stunning Brady Docs Disclosed By Gov Exonerate Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, Defense Says" [Carter, Sara, and Jennie S. Tarr. "Stunning Brady Docs Exonerate Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, Defense Says." saracarter.com, 24 April 2020.], "Damaging FBI documents unsealed in Flynn case ["Damaging new FBI documents unsealed in Flynn Case." Fox News Channel, 29 April 2020. (which is a YouTube video today)], "Unsealed FBI documents show officials discussed whether to get former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn 'to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired' during his controversial White House interview." [Sharp, Rachel, and Ariel Zilber. "Unsealed FBI documents show officials discussed whether to get former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn 'to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired' during his controversial White House interview." dailymail.com, 30 April 2020, 02:47 EDT (an updated version).], "Obama knew details of wiretapped Flynn phone calls, surprising to DOJ official in meeting with Biden, declassified docs show" [Re, Greg. "Obama knew details of wiretapped Flynn phone calls, surprising to DOJ official in meeting with Biden, declassified docs show." foxnews.com, 7 May 2020.], "DOJ drops case against Michael Flynn, in wake of internal memo release" [Singman, Brook, Greg Re, Jake Gibson, Bill Mears, David Spunt, and the Associated Press. "DOJ drops case against Michael Flynn in wake of internal memo release" foxnews.com, 7 May 2020.], "Lead Michael Flynn attorney calls for full exoneration" (a YouTube video posted on May 1, 2020, at 5:22 p.m.), "Michael Flynn's lawyer: Kiss the rule of law goodbye" (a YouTube posted on May 4, 2020), and "Sidney Powell and Judge Jeanine Pirro discuss new revelations in Michael Flynn case" (a YouTube presentation of a Fox News Channel segment (a Hannity segment) that was posted on YouTube on May 5, 2020, at 5:31 p.m.). Of course, the communistic-based press and the socialistic-based press had to work to put down the facts, and one way was to report on statements made by Barack Hussein Obama, which was done by, for instance, MSN.com on May 9, 2020, through an article entitled "Exclusive: Obama says in private call that 'rule of law' is at risk in Michael Flynn case" (which was written by Michael Isikoff). and the short article noted that Barack Hussein Obama--whom I say is a perpetual liar and a rotten man--said that the dropping of charges in the Michael Flynn case shows that the "rule of law is at risk" and that U.S. President Donald J. Trump's handling of the pandemic is "an absolute chaotic disaster".
Normally, the baseball season would be underway by now. Since it is not, I have decided to go back in time and pass along a little television trivia tied to baseball. George Kell was a famous baseball player and a famous baseball announcer, and he died a few years ago. From 1943 to 1957, George Kell was a baseball player on several big-league teams, one of which was the Detroit Tigers, for which he would be a play-by-play announcer for decades, such as on television. What you may not know is George Kell had a weekly television show on Channel 2, WJBK-TV, while he was playing for the Detroit Tigers. From Wednesday, July 5, 1950, through Wednesday, August 2, 1950, The George Kell Show was broadcast for a half hour each Wednesday starting at 9:30 p.m.. And that is a piece of television history from long, long ago.
Looking at the Movies--that is what this section of the document is about. The Looking at the Movies segment has for some time provided information in T.H.A.T. documents about movies that you should see, and the movies were shown on television in the early days of Detroit television, such as between 1947 and 1953 as a rule. Channel 9, CKLW-TV, of sort of the Detroit area of Michigan--though really a Canadian station based across the Detroit River from Detroit in Windsor, Canada--did not start up till 1954, and because of that, I cover movies related to Channel 9 between about 1954 and 1958. Over the last several weeks, government people, such as rotten Gretchen Whitmer, have been pushing the idea of having people wear masks to be like good neighbors and to stop the spread of COVID-19. Well, I will take up that theme roughly. On December 29, 1954, at 11:15 p.m., Channel 9 began to run a movie for viewers entitled "The Jade Mask", which has a copyright date of 1944. The movie was aired under the umbrella title called Good Neighbor Theatre. In the movie, Sidney Toler played the main character--Charlie Chan. Also in the movie were Mantan Moreland and Eddie Luke. Eddie Luke played Eddie Chan, one of Charlie's sons. In real life, Eddie Luke was the younger brother to Keye Luke, who had played Lee Chan in movies of the past. Today, a lot of people probably are unfamiliar with Eddie Luke, having in mind Keye Luke, Benson Fong (who played Tommy Chan in movies) and Victor Sen Yung or Sen Yung (who played Jimmy Chan in movies). For fun, put on a "jade mask" or jade-colored mask and tune into "The Jade Mask" on YouTube as part of a presentation of Looking at the Movies.
Remember: The Prisoner with Patrick McGoohan was a television show that was produced across the pond and shown on CBS-TV in the late 1960s, and I urge you to find The Prisoner on DVD, maybe from a library, and watch it, and you should show it--all the episodes--to teenagers, or buy it as a present for teenagers.
Stay well!Vic
P.S.: You are urged to see my document entitled One of "The Rules of Man"--A Rule About Health Care that No Politician May Supersede with Law, which can be reached through this Rule1 link. I have deduced that all the Democrats and most Republicans support the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 and have no intention of killing it, though it should be killed for violating, for one, "The Rules of Man." For example, Republicans Jeb Bush and Chris Christie support the rotten law, and that is one reason that I define them as stupid men and not men who are good enough--in this day and age--to be the U.S. President. I note that the "mandate"--which forces everyone to buy government-approved health-care insurance--violates one of "The Rules of Man," and it is a rule that is attacked in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010. Anyone who supports the "mandate" is not a good enough person or a smart enough person to be the U.S. president--the mandate is "enslavism," and the "mandate" allows government people--who are often and usually bad people, as history shows--decide what health care a person can get, and that is bad.
