There is not much to talk about in relation to television this month.  Everything is fine and is going along smoothly.  In addition, I have not within the last month seen any really sexy woman for guys to tune into see.  Maybe, this time, I will talk about the former icebreaker on the Great Lakes known as The Mackinaw WAG-83 (at first) and later The Mackinaw WAGB-83, which is now a museum at Mackinaw City.  I am--for lack of a better word--an "expert" on the ship.  Within the last month, I did find that the ship was used as a shooting location to shoot images of Cleveland during a television program (an episode) that had Cleveland was the topic, and the program was an episode of the nationally shown series called Home (which aired on weekdays on NBC-TV, and the broadcast date was Thursday, October 13, 1955, and the host of the program was Arlene Francis.  Well, there is some old television history.  "1955"--a year when viewers did not see broadcast networks clearly push socialism and communism on their programs, which happens today.  So, let me jump back up to today.  Yes, there is stuff to talk about, especially rotten stuff.  Take a look.

Well, let me not start with rotten stuff.  On Sunday, November 3, 2013, I finally became aware of a man called Elmer T. Williams Jr., who is also known as "The Doctor of Common Sense."  He does, for one, videos on YouTube regularly, and he is has guts, willing to attack Barack Hussein Obama and to show up Barack Hussein Obama.  If you go to YouTube, you can find his material by using, for instance, "Doctor of Common Sense" in a search.  In addition, Mr. Williams Jr. can be found at www.whateverhappenedtocommonsense.com.  And that is that.

Generally speaking, I do not keep any information about television shows for the local markets of Michigan beyond the Detroit area market, but from time to time, I run across programs made in other markets of the state that I keep information on.  On September 30, 2013, WPBN-TV (a.k.a. "7&4") and WGTU-TV (a.k.a. 29&8) of roughly the northwestern region of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan carried a live broadcast called Understand Health Care Reform at 7:00 p.m. for one hour, and I purposely avoided watching it, having the feeling it would be at the very least "fluff.  Well, on Friday, October 18, 2013, I stumbled across a repeat broadcast on Channel 4.2 at 9:00 a.m. from the broadcast group, which I joined in on while the program was already in progress.  The program was hosted by Marc Schollett, who was in a studio with two guests, Jeff Rubleski (of Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Michigan) and Marti Lotti (of Priority Health), and on location at an auditorium was Kristen Lowe, who held a microphone so that regular people could ask questions.  Of course, the focus of the program was the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010.  The program was not just fluff but rotten fluff.  Basically, the two guests in the studio gave fluff answers, "talking points" that a person would expected to come from communists and socialists working to push an "enslavism" form of government for the country, which the country is transitioning into today, and outright garbage answers, and the biggest rotten guest was Jeff Rubleski.  For example, a person at the on-location site asked about the "Cadillac Plans" and penalties.  Let me make an aside here--Some people take care of themselves and some people do not; for example, some people with enough to buy a health-care insurance plan may do that, and some people with enough to buy a health-care insurance plan may buy other things instead, and some people forgo other things to buy the best plan possible or in existence, and there is nothing wrong with that, and that is life.  The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 is set up so that, in the future, people who buy what are called "Cadillac Plans" will be taxed extra--they will be taxed extra for trying to take care of themselves the best that they want.  Well, all Jeff Rubleski did in answering the question about "Cadillac Plans" was to say almost nothing, and he simply noted that the tax or penalty does not kick in till 2018.  And hearing that defective answer, Marc Schollett (whose educational history includes studies at such highly "liberal" institutions as the University of Michigan and the University of Chicago (at Chicago, the home of Barack Obama)) sat there like a bump on a log, as he did during the entire part of the program that I saw.  I say--Any country that penalizes people for taking care of themselves the best that they can is a rotten country.  We have a rotten country now.  In addition, a rotten country is a country in which politicians have the ultimate say and total control of the health care of the citizens, and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 is designed to achieve that.  The television program from the station group was for those pushing for a national-health-care system and enslavism for the country since it said nothing useful and did not show up the rottenness of the fairly new law, and the management and staff of the television station involved in making the program, such as the Pat Livinston (the news director), showed themselves to be rotten by producing and airing such a program.  Since small-market stations or somewhat small-market stations do not make many special programs, it would not surprise me if Understand Health Care Reform gets what is called a "local Emmy," though the program was a program that deceived viewers, working to pull the wool over the eyes of people.  By the way, the station group is really tied to the Traverse City television market, which has a lot of socialists and communists and which is the site of the "State Theatre," which is something controlled by Michael Moore, the well-known communist and filmmaker, who is known for making documentaries filled with lies, such as one about the health-care system in Cuba.

Oh, Marti Lotti got a question about the military health-care system during Understanding Health Care Reform, and she noted that there were going to be no changes.  Well, Marti Lotti, did you catch reports that noted what happened on The Ed Schultz Show, a radio program hosted by Ed Schultz (who has ties to MSNBC, the communistic news network) with a former military man (talking by telephone) on October 17, 2013?  The former military man--a veteran, who had done 23 years of service--noted that 171,000 veterans had been kicked off their military health care--"TRICARE"--on October 1, 2013, and, actually, other veterans had already been kicked off their military health care by--Barack Obama.  Ed Schultz (the hard-line communist) noted--"First of all, you have, ah, your facts wrong."  In addition, although the veteran was correct in what he had said, Ed Schultz said in an angry and loud voice--"...I'm not gonna freakin' argue with you, Russell!  You're full of crap!  Okay!  You're full of it!"  By the way, Ed Schultz worked to change the subject to the recent federal-government shutdown as the reason for cutbacks by the government, which, I know, had nothing to do with the veterans being kicked off their military health care.  Marti Lotti, you lied to television viewers in Understand Health Care Reform.

I guess I should say it was a tie in rottenness between Marti Lotti and Jeff Rubleski on Understand Health Care Reform.

I am not done with "7&4" and "29&8"--I go now to the website associated with the stations, "UpNorthLive.com".  On Friday, October 18, 2013, I went to the website around 3:00 p.m. (Eastern Daylight Time) to see whether or not the website published a high-level propaganda piece that had been written for distribution as "news" through The Associated Press by Don Babwin (the story came out of "Chicago"), though the piece was not "news."  The website had the propaganda piece.  Incidentally, I would love to teach a journalism class and show up the propaganda piece--which was entitled "Shutdown affects us in ways we did not see"--for the rottenness it is, and at the very least, I could use a half hour of class time.  Here is some of the piece, starting from the beginning:

Our food was a little less safe, our workplaces a little more dangerous.  The risk of getting sick was a bit higher, our kids' homework tougher to complete.
The federal government shutdown may have seemed like a frustrating squabble in far-off Washington, but it crept into our lives, subtle ways--from missed vegetable inspections to inaccessible federal websites.
The "feds" are always there in the background, setting the standards by which we live, providing funds to research cures for our kids' illnesses, watching over our food supply and work environment.
I have to stop here a moment.  Notice the rottenness already.  I go beyond the incomplete sentences.  The writer pushes the idea--"...The 'feds' are always there in the background, setting the standards by which we live...."  This line is something that a person can expect from a Marxist--pushing idea that you cannot live without government, telling you what to do and how to live.  Bullshit!  Oh, so far in the "piece" there has been no news, such as facts and figures.  Here is more (following up on the previous bit):
So how did the shutdown alter our daily routines?  Here's a look at a day in the life of the 2013 government shutdown.
    WAKING UP
That sausage patty on your breakfast plate was as safe as ever because meat inspectors--like FBI agents--are considered "essential" and remained at work.  But federal workers who inspect just about everything else on our plate--from fresh berries to scrambled eggs--were furloughed.
I have to stop here.  The federal government kept meat inspectors on duty, but why did it not consider other food inspectors "essential," since people eat more than meat?  [Here is an aside, and I say this in jest--Maybe, the federal government was trying to hurt people who do not eat meat.]   Okay, how many restaurants have a federal inspector looking over a cook's shoulders every moment to make sure "scrambled eggs" are safe to eat?  By the way, is the writer trying to give you the impression that people involve in the food industry in the United States of America, such as cooks, are working to kill off or make sick their customers?  Such nonsense the writer puts out!  Let use look at more:
The Food and Drug Administration, which in fiscal year 2012 conducted more than 21,000 inspections or contracted state agencies to conduct them, put off scores of other inspections at processing plants, dairies and other large food facilities.  In all, 976 of the FDA's 1,602 inspectors were sent home.
Okay, there are some facts.  Food inspections are not done on every bit of food or morsel of food.  Now, how many people died because some food inspectors were temporarily laid off?  Oh, gosh!  By the way, in this edition of T.H.A.T., you will read a section dealing with "The Boston Beer Company" and an interview on CBS This Morning.  I now jump farther into the story (bypassing a bunch of stuff that I could knock down if I wanted to waste the time):
At a warehouse, factory or other worksite, a young minority exposed to racial slurs by his boss had one fewer place to turn for help.  Federal officials who oversee compliance with discrimination laws and labor practices weren't working, except in emergencies.
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission was not issuing right-to-sue letters, so people could not take discrimination cases into federal court, said Peter Siegelman, an expert in workplace discrimination at the University of Connecticut's law school.
Workplaces weren't inspected by by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.  One result?  Employees could operate dangerous equipment even if not trained or old enough to do so.

I stop here.  I say in jest--So when the federal-government shutdown started, companies all over the country tore down all the safety measures and equipment on their machines or whatever.  I add say in jest--Yes, the companies wanted to kill off employees right away.  Next, some court cases did not go--temporarily--in relation to so-called "racial slurs" (if there were any cases).  Of course, all the cases could start up right after the federal-government shutdown ended--it is not as if the cases were dead forever under the federal-government shutdown.  Here is more farther on in the piece:

The CDC slashed staffing at quarantine stations at 20 airports and entry points, raising chances travelers could enter the country carrying diseases like measles undetected.

I now stop here.  So the federal government--Barack Obama at the helm--had money to put up barriers at national memorials and such (to keep Americans out of such places), which had had no barriers before the federal-government shutdown started, but did not have money to keep CDC people on the job.  It sounds as if the federal government was hoping to hurt people not only mentally (by keeping people out of such places as national memorials) but also physically.  Look at more of the piece:

Monique Howard's 5-year-old son, Carter, has the most trouble with his asthma at night, when his breathing is labored.  Her family dreams of a cure, the kind doctors are hunting through federally funded research grants ar Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
During the shutdown, the doctors had to stop submitting grant applications to study childhood asthma and other diseases and disorders.  Hospital officials said the shutdown could have delayed funding half a year.

Okay, I stop again.  How could the stopping of responding to grants--on a several-week federal-government shutdown--delay things by "half a year"?  That does not make sense.  In addition, although applications for grants were not accepted for a short time, work at hospitals all over the country--work that was and is in progress--did not stop.  Keep in mind--The federal government does not own all the hospitals in the country yet--yet (if the federal government, being evil (communistic), did own all the hospitals, the federal government could have stopped all the research).  Let me show you the final sentence in the piece (skipping others):

The Federal Communications Commission investigates broadcast misbehavior only if viewers or listeners complain.  During the shutdown, callers heard a voice with a familiar ring: "The FCC is closed."
And that is that.  It was a rotten news piece.  By the way, now that the FCC is open, viewers can complain about the pissing on the woman's hair on the episode of 2 Broke Girls, which I talked about in the previous edition of T.H.A.T..  Of course, the FCC will not do anything, supporting Barack Obama and the Hollywood crowd, which supports Barack Obama.  In the end, I note that the station group of "7&4" and "29&8" pushed out propaganda on the website--the story should never had been posted, if the news department were worthwhile.

Now let me show up crap from communists on network television--mostly people in the main media, such as Charlie Rose--just keeps on coming.  Charlie Rose is one of the hosts on CBS This Morning, and another is Gayle King, who is a very close friend of Oprah Winfrey, the rich communist (another one of those communists who came out of Chicago, as did Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton).  On Thursday, October 10, 2013, I happened to turn on the television in the morning--the channel was set to the CBS affiliate--and Gayle King and the other main hosts of CBS This Morning was interviewing Jim Koch (of The Boston Beer Company), a rich man.  By the way, it was about 8:43 a.m. EDT.  Gayle King brought up the thought that the federal-government shutdown is hurting you (the "you" was Jim Koch, of course).  Jim Koch noted, for example, yes, with the federal government shutdown, we cannot take the opportunity to offer any new products in the marketplace [if they had any] because they could not get them approved.  It does not matter what Jim Koch said.  What is important is to see Gayle King was pushing the idea that the government shutdown was hurting people--people who make beer.  You should see Gayle King was trying to get beer drinkers--especially the idiots--to take up the cause promoted by Barack Obama and the Democrats and put down the Republicans.   She showed herself to be rotten.  It must be remembered--Around October 10, 2013, the federal-government shutdown was not really a "shutdown," since only about 17 percent of the federal government was shutdown (incidentally, in the past, when there have been federal-government shutdowns, all those whose pay was being withheld got paid later and never lost pay).  Yes, Gayle King is rotten, working to manipulate the minds of viewers with nonsense!  [By the way, Gayle King is a close friend of Cody Booker, who recently was elected in a special election in New Jersey to fill an open U.S. Senate seat, and, yes, Cody Booker is a hard-line Democrat.]

Every Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to noon (Detroit time), The Word network carries a Reverend Jesse Jackson broadcast from Chicago (the communist stronghold), and from time to time, I happen to watch a few minutes of the program to see what idiocy Reverend Jesse Jackson (a truly rotten man) and his associates are trying to teach to the idiots of America.  On Saturday, October 26, 2013, I happened to tune in to the program at about 11:23 a.m. or so, and Jonathan Jackson (one of Jesse Jackson's rotten sons) was talking or speaking, and before him were blacks and whites, all of whom looked like idiots and sheep ready for the slaughter.  Jonathan Jackson raised the issue that the "sequester" (tied to the federal-goverment budget) was designed or is designed to promote more "segregation."  I report that the "sequester"--which dealt with federal-government spending--was a Barack Obama idea, and it was designed to ultimately lead to, for one, the cutting of the military budget of the country.  Such rottenness Jonathan Jackson spoke, trying to hint the "sequester" was tied to "segregation" pushed along by whites, even though it was the idea of Barack Obama.

And on Friday, November 1, 2013, The Carrie Diaries (of The CW network) pushed hard on the gay thing, showing viewers two male characters kissing.

Commentary: By the way, on Thursday, November 7, 2013, the U.S. Senate passed a bill related to gays, lesbians, and transgenders, and to employers' not being able to discriminate against such persons, and I say that it is a rotten bill, given, if the bill were to become a law, anytime, for example, a gay does not get a job at a company, the gay could sue the company and could get the job (even if the person was not qualified) or get something else from the out of the country, and it really comes down to the company having to prove it does not discriminate against gays and such, which is a hard thing to do, and that sets up more rottenness in the country.

Advertisement: In March 2009, a book called Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, which had been written by Mark R. Levin, was published.  Through the book, Mark R. Levin talks about how tyranny has been creeping into the country, and he also talks about how the country has been changing from a representative republic, which has a constitution as a basis, to something, yet to be defined, and although Mark R. Levin says that it is the statist who is causing the change, especially those who are a part of the Democratic Party and in government jobs, I say that it is communists, socialists, would-be dictators, and Marxists, such as Barack Obama, who are making the changes, such as by discarding The U.S. Constitution.  I urge you to see and read Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, and pass it on to others, especially teenagers and young adults (and consider listening to The Mark Levin Show, the nationally syndicated radio show, on a regular basis).

Here is a television review.  60 Minutes is a weekly series broadcast by CBS-TV, and it is basically a communist propaganda machine (a number of times, the series has had Barack Obama as a guest, promoting Barack Obama as a good person, which is a lie).  On Sunday, October 13, 2013, the series aired a segment called "Detroit on the edge."  It was a fluff piece.  It had two firefighters talk about their job, and there was shot of a fire truck with a leaking water tank, which has been leaking for at least a year.  There was a woman (who had children but, it seems, no husband) who talked about the closed school across the street and how it takes hours for police to arrive when called for during times of trouble in the area.  The program talked about a guy involved in taking down abandon houses; he has done about 300 houses, and it was hinted that there were only some 80,000 to go.  Much of the piece focused on a man called Dan Gilbert, who has been buying up property in downtown Detroit, where things look as if a rebirth is going on (the segment mentioned how, in essence, he has his own security command center to try to protect his employees.  Viewers got to see an urban farmer.  And the program made no note about how the culture of the city--based on communism and black radicalism and socialism and welfare and New Black Panther ways and the National of Islam ways, et cetera--is not being changed with respect to most of the residents (the people who are not huddled together in Dan Gilbert's little gated community within the city).  The 60 Minute piece was shallow, but that is to be expected from a television news piece that ran about 14 minutes and was put together by rotten people, such as the host of the piece, Bob Simon.

Announcement for the novice again: To get useful television-delivered news or Internet-delivered news, go to Fox News Channel, WorldNetDaily.com, "The Drudge Report," and CNS News (which is on the Internet and which was launched on June 16, 1998), since the entities do not blindly support Barack Obama, as do CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV (to learn about bad journalism, you might tune in to CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV from time to time to see how they differ from the Fox News Channel and those mentioned with it in presenting political stories and events, and you should discover CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV avoid covering things that make Barack Obama look bad or show his true nature, which could harm you).  If you are unclear of my intentions, I say in different words that you should boycott CNN, MSNBC, NBC-TV, CBS-TV, and ABC-TV and hope they lose more ratings and advertising revenues, since they are expendable, and it is time for you to find the guts to be mean and heartless and cancel them--since they are hurting you.

Commentary: NBC-TV is a communistic television network, evidence is in what it does with news and political stuff, and it even pushes politics in football broadcasts today.  By the way, not too long ago, a football broadcast would only cover football, such as the game proper and the lives of players.  On Sunday, October 13, 2013, NBC-TV aired a football game under Sunday Night Football, and Bob Costas did yet another political--communistic political--editorial, and it was designed to get people to hate the name "Washington Redskins" (the name of a professional football) because it has "Redskins" as a part of it.  Before I would hate the "Redskins" name, I would hate Bob Costas.  Bob Costas works for a television network that pushes the goodness of Barack Obama, and Barack Obama is a defective man--a man who, for instance, helped lead to the death of Americans (such as a U.S. ambassador) on September 11, 2012 (as I show in my document entitled The "Benghazi Killings Scandal": A Short Information-and-Status Report, which can be reached by using this Benghazi link).  Oh, I hate Bob Costas since he pushes for a federal government of that is tyrannical, guided today by Barack Hussein Obama.

Special commentary: The edition of TV Guide for October 14-20, 2013, had a story about Elementary (the television series focusing on Sherlock Holmes) and the two main performers in the series, Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu (Fretts, Bruce.  "Mysteries Solved!"  TV Guide, 14-20 October 2013, pp. 18-21.).  At one point, the article passed along this comment from Lucy Liu that was about her dating life--"Not in my regular life--I'll be inundated on the show!"  So I guess she does not get a lot of dates in real life.  Well, if she were not a supporter of Barack Obama and the communistic way of life, she might.  I do not feel sorry for a rotten woman.

A note to think about: On Wednesday, November 6, 2013, a little after 9:00 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time), I happened to have the television set tune to Today, and the program played a clip of the Mayor of Toronto, Canada, who admitted to having smoked cocaine.  One statement from the man was--"...I love my job...."  If a person is over 21 years of age, and the person decides to take up using cocaine, the person is rotten, given the person is showing bad judgment and given cocaine damages the mind.  I thought about the man's statement--The rotten man was pleading to let him keep his job because he loves is job, and if he had to give it up--because he loves it--it would be a shame and you would be taking away something he loves.  This man should be chopped off at the knees, as Barack Obama should be.

Well, if you wish to see a detective show that is non-political and is harmless fun, you could look for Snooper and Blabber on YouTube, such as the episode called "Gem Jams."

Remember: The Prisoner with Patrick McGoohan was a television show that was produced across the pond and shown on CBS-TV in the late 1960s, and I urge you to find The Prisoner on DVD, maybe from a library, and watch it, and you should show it--all the episodes--to teenagers, or buy it as a present for teenagers.

Stay well!
