This document was created on October 13, 2017, and in relation to that date, I say that people in the United States of America have been putting down Christopher Columbus (an explorer from Europe or a European of the 1400s) and "Columbus Day," which is celebrated in the United States of America annually, in recent years because he may have been a bad guy overall, which is the issue pushed--I am aware--often wrongly. Within the last few years before October 13, 2017, a number of people, such as politicians in such places as Los Angeles (California) and Seattle (Washington), have been pushing the idea that "Columbus Day" should be replaced by "Indigenous Peoples Day." So-called "Indigenous peoples" are considered the people who were, for instance, on the North America continent before Europeans really would show up on the continent in great numbers in the 1600s, 1700s, and 1800s. The children of "Indigenous Peoples" of today I call "American Indians--if they have to be called something; communists and socialists call them "Native Americans," though the definition is defective, given every one born on the continent today is a "native" and is a "Native American" if the person is truly born as a U.S. citizen. Before Europeans would arrive on the North American continent, the hundreds of different tribal groups on the continent mostly had simple hunting-and-gathering set-ups or cultures combined with some farming, and it was commonplace that a group would sort of settle in one area and use up materials (such as the animal or fish population), and move on to another area. In addition, there was fighting between different tribal groups, and there was slavery. The cultures of the people were trapped in their structures, and it was only when Europeans came to the North American continent when a different style of culture helped breakout the trap. Here is an aside--The main theme of the African continent culture was the same as that on the North American continent before about 1600 (at least) would come, and the main theme was tied to tribes with kings and queens and such, and the theme was often nomadic, and also Arab culture in the Middle East--a nomadic culture--was like that of the North American culture, and Europeans culture would affect for the better the cultures in Africa and the Middle East. In the 1600s, 1700s, and 1800s (at least), European culture--it not tied tightly to kings and queens and tribal society--led to the modernization of the world and advancements in numerous fields of mankind, and, for instance, moderniztion led to the creating of typewriters, all types of tools and big machines (such as big printing presses), trains, the telegraph system connecting cities and towns, steel-based skyscrapers, wireless (radio), cars, air planes, the telephone, television, CT scans and MIR machines, computers, space ships (the number of things is countless). The things came about because the European-culture root thinking of the 1600s, 1700s, and 1800s was not trapped by the day-to-day rules and whims and idiotic thinking of kings and queens and by religious nonsense (such as all types of spirits and gods and witches and the like)--individuals on the North American were allowed to think beyond the ways of kings and queens (who, for example, often put limits on thinking through their rule, such as to keep their power and status in society and then be able to pass along their power to immediate children). I contend the American Indian culture of today would look different if the European culture had not shown up--it would be relatively unchanged from the cultural set-up of centuries past. Yes, some American Indians yet live on reservations in the country, but that shows, for one, the wish by some American Indians to hold on to the trapping ways of the old cultural structures (also, some live on the reservations so that they get sort of benefits from the federal government and are taken care of by the federal government for simply existing as "Native Americans," and there are more reasons). In essence, the culture of the North American continent before the great influence of Europeans (some of whom were rotten people) was what I informally call an "ant culture," having, for instance, one head ant (maybe a "chief") and a bunch of others (I also ascribe the "ant" culture theme to the communistic culture or the socialistic culture, but communistic culture or socialistic culture are highly evil in the long run, leading to the enslavement of millions by a few, usually rotten people, who are willing to use all types of force to control the thinking of the many, which is why, for instance, communistic culture end up falling apart and most of the people end up poor and hunger, very good examples of which can be found in Cuba, North Korea, and Venezuela)). Christopher Columbus may or may not have been a bad guy overall--it is hard to tell by listening to or reading, for example, many modern-day historians and writers, given so many are liars and communistic and socialistic. "Columbus Day" may disappear, given so many Americans are stupid and seem to be taking up the ways of communism and socialism. Whether the holiday gets wiped out or not from the American holiday schedule is not the subject of this document [Note: It is the cities in the country that are socialistic in thinking at least that are leading to way to killing the holiday]. I contend there is no good reason to create an "Indigenous Peoples Day," given a holiday should not simply be given out in relation to a person or group of persons for simply existing or having existed. An "Indigenous Peoples Day" would celebrate nothing really, given not much was really accomplished over centuries--it was just carrying on of stuff that had been brought to the North American continent many centuries ago from other continents (such as Asia). An "Indigenous Peoples Day" would be a hollow event. Of course, I have to acknowledge some persons who might be defined as "Native Americans" have done great things since the United States of America was founded, such as the men from "American Indian" tribes who used their languages to send allied messages to allied troops and help defeat the German Nazi soldiers in World War II, but there are peoples who heritage is tied to cultures all over the world who have done great things in the United States of America. The "Indigenous Peoples Day" is another defective idea from modern-day rotten people, who are working to promote nonsense and to, in some cases, wipe out European cultural history (making it seem bad), especially when tied to "white" men.
